Nerds
Who: Genos and Saitama
What: They talk about the weirdos they've met so far.
Where: Genos and Saitama's apartment.
When: Early July
Warnings: N/a
Genos was taking a break from his obsessive guitar practice only to do some research on the computer and then replace a string. He really needed to work on not catch strings on the unforgiving joints of his fingers. This would be much easier if he wasn't stuck with his combat arms, but there was nothing to do about it. Finding the parts for other sets of arms would be pointless, no one he'd yet met could build and attach them.
So he was carefully replacing a string, sitting next to an already full notebook of notes he'd taken from his research. The notebooks concerned Saitama were in a neat stack by the sparsely populated bookcase.

He went to put away the groceries he'd come home with. "Are you working on your guitar, Genos? It didn't break, did it?"

"I only snapped a string, it's a problem with my hands. I'm improving at a decent pace, but I have to work around my own construction." He'd get this down damnit... "Did everything go okay?"

"Yeah, found some chicken thighs on a good sale," the hero said from the kitchen, before closing the fridge door and coming into the living room. "Met a weird guy in the park on the way to the store. Dude was kind of a jerk."
He sat down near Genos and the acoustic guitar, and peeked at the notebook of research curiously. Genos was always taking so many notes about everything!

"Should I keep an eye out for him sensei?" Genos kept his voice even, hoping, not-so-subtly, that he might get a description of the jerk in question. He would have something to say!

The guy was going to be a total pest the next time they met, though, Saitama knew. And of course they'd meet again.

"As is to be expected." Of course his sensei came out on top, Saitama sensei is the best at this. "I've gained a job more preferable than the construction work I was considering. A part time bodyguard."

It was a job he'd considered briefly, once, before realizing how much standing around doing nothing it would involve. No thanks!

A combat cyborg was good for menial labor but far too qualified to a dangerous degree. It was just too easy to turn things to powder by accident. Genos was far too good at the standing around staring at people thing, to boot.

"Who are you thinking of? Not Speedo Panic, I hope." Would he ever call Sonic his proper name? Nah... probably not.
no subject
"No, I was concerned about an actual threat. One of the higher level monsters or the rogue cyborg." The former he was sure Saitama could take on, the latter he wanted to confront himself. Was he near strong enough yet?
