[he takes some time to peruse the materials, listen to the hologram, and note maps and things, all the while bemused. He would say it was a dream only he can't remember the last time he's slept. And in that other sleep he doesn't dream, thank whoever, so he knows it's not that.

So a kidnapping, is it? The Soul Court is going to be pissed. Joseph can't help but smirk a little at that. He's glad and a little apprehensive to have slipped the leash for a while.

He mulls a little over what he finds and then decides to see who or what else is out there. It feels a little awkward introducing himself; like those college orientation classes all over again. But a bit of awkwardness never hurt anyone.

Still when the feed clicks on he's standing a little stiffly, gloved hand on the sleek black sheathed sword at his side.]

Uh... hello... My name is Joseph Fukuzawa.... I enjoy... uh... reading... parasailing... and uh... horseback riding.

[this is going well. Excellent job, Joe.]

By occupation... I'm a Ghost Eater for the Soul Court... and if that has uh...meaning to anyone... let me know. If not... um... [scratches his nose]

Hey! That had better be some kind of whacked out metaphor, dude. Because I'm telling you right now, I've got enough trouble with people trying to rip me apart molecule by molecule. I'm not about to add people trying to eat me to that list.

[Well this is a brave one. Most that he's met tend to either flee or attack, brought down to their very basic instincts. He's yet to meet one that asserted themselves like this. Almost as if they were still alive.

He looks pretty delicious, too.

Except before that there are a few issues that need to be addressed]

There are other Ghost Eaters? Chandry? Mikaela? [though he doubts that since this guy is still existing on this plane. Must be greenies. No matter who they are he'd like to know their fate before he proceeds.]

It's nice to meet you Joseph and you don't have to make it sound like an interview though parasailing sounds like fun. I've never been horseback riding either actually.

[Her brows furrow though her smile remains.]

[her cheer is refreshing and Joseph relaxes a little]

It's too bad they didn't bring Daisy with me.

[He can't help but notice her necklace. So that is true as well. Or seems to be.]

[She pauses and for a second looks nervous, when she realizes he's looking at the necklace and not the scar around her neck she relaxes again.]

Oh, I'm from Island Falls, Maine. It's a small place that not a lot of people have heard of.

[He's not surprised that this one hasn't heard. It's rare and dangerous the ghost that does. Though that settles him somewhat, he's still curious about how you took apart a ghost by molecules... Unless there were somehow Ghostbusters involved.

[it's a lie only in the sense that he's never been beyond it himself; but it's it's part of the officially sanctioned dialogue with a spirit of of unknown alignment and he's not feeling confident enough to wing it]

She's a Percheron and too much of a sweet-heart for her line of work. [malevolent spirit hunting, poltergeist taming, that sort of thing]

I've never been to Maine. I've never heard of Island Falls either, but I bet Stephen King's written about it. [grin] I'm from Sacramento myself.

[Sixteen hands is a new phrasing but Airy decides she likes it. After a second she nods her head.]

Yeah, they're horses but they're mostly in Fayren I think. It's like walking into an RPG while Genessia is more like New York and Everglade is sorta like Salem and Nova City is sort of like Star Trek.

[She likes her similes.]

Well you can go and perform this so-called sacred duty somewhere else. I'm not interested.

Seems like an interesting place. Someone went to a lot of trouble to rig this up.

Do you have to make this harder than it needs to be? I get it you don't want to go to the great beyond. It's terrifying. Pants wetting. But everyone has to go. If you stay, you'll forget everything anyway and become malevolent. No one wants that.

Ah, it really depends what you like. I think they're all worth seeing though Everglade sort of freaks me out... it's scary.

[since then he'd get to ride too and maybe look up prices for at least renting one. Not to be disloyal to Daisy but he feels more comfortable with a horse around. They've been together for not!centuries after all]

And I think I'm offended. Not all ghosts are doomed to become evil, you know. Some of us just want to be left alone. And some of us would have a much easier time helping people if certain trigger happy ghost hunters would just give us a break.

[Fayren can be creepy too with the little dolls and that weird guy who'd showed up there in that thing about magic but she'd get to see horses and the 5 year old girl inside of her is secretly a little excited about that.]
