[3rd Song - Video - Fish and Prayers]

*The video starts on a couple of goldfish swimming round each other in circles. Then it moves to reveal a pond, then Sonico's face and chest with the pond in the background*

I found fish! Sweet little goldfish!

*Still facing the video, Sonico reaches a finger behind her and dips it into the water, fish bobbing up to the surface*

I've had a look...and I'm struggling to find many other places with marine life. Does anyone know any good water spots that I could explore or examine? I'd love to see what's around in this world.

*Sonico decides to stay by the pond a little while longer. Any passers by will see the pink haired girl sitting at the pond and talking quietly with the fish*

Shrine
*This new world hadn't been so terrible - she has a job, has played a concert, has met some people who could be friends, and has even come 3rd place in a wet tshirt competition. So, calm and thoughtful, Sonico floats around the shrine serenely, taking quiet moments for prayer*

[Terra often goes looking for seeds and flowers during the spring and summer months. She feels the heat beginning to ebb so she takes this chance to continue her journey through the different green spaces in Genessia.

She's wearing her usual red dress, plan with beads sewn into the fabric in the shape of flowers. She has on a thin pair of gold sandals and a small basket beneath her arm. When she spots Sonico she pauses, remembering the pink hair from the ball.]

Excuse me. I had met you at the ball?

[Terra's voice is soft and she asks it as a question, unsure of her own assessment. They had been wearing masks.]

*Sonico looks up from where she was sitting at the edge of the pond and, or seeing the somewhat familiar woman, gets up slowly to her feet. Even though it's not a ball the other woman looks beautifully dressed, and Sonico glances down at herself in embarrassment - usual shorts, tshirt, boots, a little bit of mud on her knees. Still, Sonico smiles and nods*

Hi! Yes. That was me. Masks don't work so well with hair coloured like ours, huh?

[Terra is only used to wearing dresses, its what she'd worn when she was captive by the Empire and she continues the tend now. Even though more than a few people commented that it's silly to garden in a dress.]

No they don't.

[A smile touches her lips and she shakes her head.]

What are you doing?

*Sonico glances down at the pond where her rucksack is lying, alongside a small net and bucket, and a notebook*

I'm having a look at the water life around here. There don't seem to many places... And no aquarium, which is unusual, and sad.

I don't know much about the water-life.

[She pauses, chewing on her lower lip.]

I'm sure there are some amazing places. There are water ways through Genessia but I don't think they have fish.

Fayren has a really good fish market. [ She's smiling. That's what she meant right?? ]

My Miss is correct. The most flavorful fish can be found there.

Do either of you happen to know what kinds of fish? Or where they are sourced?

Waterways with no fish...

*A thoughtful frown appears on Sonico's forehead as she leans forward and picks up her pen and notebook*

That's interesting, but also quite worrying. So there are no fish...but are there any other kinds of things that live there?

[ Though the park was often a place Jefferson found himself visiting for the purpose of art subjects, he'd lately realized that simply taking the time to have a leisurely stroll and absorb the surroundings could be just as satisfying. He saw it often, but the pond was never a place he skipped seeing. He wasn't surprised to see another person there, but when he realized what the young girl was doing it made him stop to tilt his head and smile slightly. It was a cute thing to do, really. ]

Are they telling you anything interesting?

*Sonico looks up suddenly at the sound of the voice, her expression perhaps a little sheepish because of what she has been caught doing. But really, Sonico doesn't mind and she glances back at the fish with a smile*

Oh, tbere's been some big drama today. This one is in love with this one, but she's in love with another fish. She's too scared to tell him how she feels so it's..all a little awkward.

*Okay, so maybe she was being totally silly but as she smiles at the man it's clear that she doesn't have a complete lack of imagination*

[ The look she gave at being caught just made him smile more. The story she'd come up with was charming and got a chuckle out of him. Not enough people had imagination anymore so it was always good to meet people who did. He stepped closer and crouched down so he could both see the fish and converse with her more easily. ]

That does sound like a lot of drama. [ He watched them swim about for a moment before speaking again, his tone giving away his amusement. ] Do you think they'd listen to my advice or do they only talk to you because you're all friends?

No I think it's the water that the city uses.

[Clean water with run off from sinks and other things like that. Terra can't really say that she understands considering she lives in Attleton.]

Hmm. Perhaps. It's all still quite strange.

*Sonico frowns at the pond for a moment then turns back to Terra with a smile*

I'm Sonico, by the way.

*Well, at least he hadn't laughed at her or said anything mean, and his smile made her feel much more comfortable. She smiles as he goes along with her story, and gestures towards the fish*

I think they'd take your advice - it's always good to have an outsider's opinion, you know?

*Then she points towards a large, slightly paler goldfish*

He'll be rude and pretend he's not listening, but he really will be.

I'm Terra. I'm sorry I hadn't introduced myself at the ball.

[After wearing a mask for awhile you forget that you have it on and Terra hadn't thought to introduce herself.]

You like sea creatures?

Please don't be sorry. It was a very strange way to meet someone. Did you have a nice evening at the ball?

*She had seemed so unsure at the time that Sonico was only hoping that the other young woman had been able to enjoy herself, at least even a little*

Oh, yes. Sea creatures are my favourite!

I did thank you. Did you find your prince?

[Terra will feel awful if Sonico hadn't danced that night.]

They are cute.

[She looks down at the fishes.]

*Sonico keeps her face downturned to the pool as a blush warms her cheeks*

Oh, I don't know how he'd feel about being called that now..but..I did have a really very lovely time..

*She turns back to Terra on the safer subject of fish*

Mhm. Now I just need to see if I can find any more around here.

Oh?

[Terra's head cants slightly to the side.]

Um... what's wrong with these fish?

Nothing... Not really. I just feel there should be more. And more places with water, too. It's just...strange.

*Sonico stares at the goldfish a moment or two longer as though trying to figure out a puzzle*

But, maybe it's just a whole new world, or even universe, and I've just got to get used to it all. Heh.

These fish are a universe?

[Terra can't help but take things literally and now she's a little confused.]

Do you mean the animal life here? There might be some outside the cities.

[ If he laughed it would only because he thought that her actions were sweet in a genuine sort of way that was rare to see. She still looked young, of course, but many abandoned their playful sides far too soon. Then again, it was always too soon to be rid of something like that. ]

Goodness. Now that I know that I don't know if I can handle the pressure. I might give bad advice.

[ He looked over to the fish she had pointed out, his lips pursed in consideration. He broke out into a silly smile rather quickly. ]

So he likes to be play coy?

[ Coy. Instead of koi. Please laugh. ]

*Sonico giggles but only shortly and quietly, not wanting to be rude*

Not the goldfish. This whole...place. Maybe it just doesn't work the same way my world does.

*She shrugs lightly as she looks around the park*

Suppose that means it's time to start exploring.

Exploring sounds like it'll be fun. [The comment is spoken a little dreamily.] I'm... not sure how things in my own world works.

[She hasn't had the time to explore much of it.]

I think it might be. I hope it will be. I've been warned about getting lost, but I'm sure it will all be fine.

*Sonico then smiles at Terra and waves a hand dismissively*

Don't worry about it! You don't need to know how it works, so long as you appreciate it.

[Her brows furrow.]

I'm not sure I appreciated it either.

[She remembers a lot but her memories feel more like dreams than anything else.]

*Sonico stands straight and tilts her head at Terra, curious*

Because you didn't like your world, or because there wasn't much to appreciate in the first place?

I don't remember very much of it.

[What she does remember is dark and bloody or within the halls of a fortress where she'd been kept.]

Oh. I'm sorry.

*Sonico isn't very sure what to say about this, so she just looks down back at the fish swimming around*

At least this world seems quite nice? Hopefully you'll have nice memories from here.

[Terra smiles.]

I'm very happy here.

*Sonico just laughs at his reaction to her continuation of her silly story. It's nice to have some nonsensical chat with someone, without Sonico feeling judged for being ridiculous*

Oh, I'm sure any advice is useful advice. At least I'm sure you'll mean well with their busy fishy love lives.

*Then she is almost about to reply with some new thread to the story about the fish when the joke clicks in her brain, and yes, she happens to find that pun very funny indeed, falling into a fit of laughter*

[ He could say the same, really. Sometimes the conversations that didn't mean much of anything meant the most. If she was ridiculous so was he. ]

Well --

[ He couldn't even get any semblance of advice out before she began laughing, which only made him do the same though much more quietly. It was a nice feeling that he'd been able to make her smile, but he waited until she was composed again before holding his hand over. ]

Might I ask your name, miss storyteller?

*It was a good thing that he laughed too. Laughing wasn't something she did too often, so hearing him join in made her feel less silly about herself.

But then he holds his hand out towards her, and Sonico turns her head slightly to try and see what he wanted her to give to him. Then, with an embarrassed blush, she remembers that this is how people in other parts of the world greeted each other. Hoping that she's right, Sonico places her hand lightly in his*

My name's Sonico. And yours, Mr Advice Giver?

[ People should laugh as often as they could, he thought. He would think it was a shame if he knew she didn't.

Jefferson simply patiently smiled at her and gave the girl a chance to figure out what the gesture meant. He would have given an explanation were it necessary, but thankfully she'd gotten it. He took care to be gentle when he shook her hand. ]

Jefferson. [ His smile grew a bit. ] But I might start introducing myself as Mr. Advice Giver once in a while.

*Sonico followed his lead on how firm to be with the handshake. She had no idea how long these things were supposed to last for, so she'd just keep shaking until he'd decided that it was sufficient*

It's nice to meet you, Jefferson. I'd rather be Sonico the Storyteller sometimes, too.

*She continues to smile at him, but turns for a moment to gather up her notebook, pens, and various sketches on bits of loose paper*
