She almost followed him to the couch, but at the last moment she swerved for the kitchen. Cheesecake wasn't something a person could eat with their hands alone...not if he wanted to keep his apartment clean, anyway. She hunted through the drawers for a knife to cut two thick slices, pausing when he posed his question.
"Mm? I didn't want to bother you!" she grinned, and went back to her work. "You just seemed to be frowning a lot more than usual, so I wanted to see if you were doing okay. And desserts always make me feel better, so I thought a cheesecake might help! Just a little."
After she found the plates, she returned to the living room to sit on his left, careful to keep a comfortable distance so as not to seem too invasive.
