A. Action – The Bay

[ It's hard to shake off his grogginess when he wakes up, but when he does the teenage boy is disoriented to say the least. He sits up, frowning at his pod and still clad in full armor as he looks over the contents. Wait, he'd been flung into another world? But where was his lion? And the others...

His hand is immediately on his bayard when the hologram of Weiss starts up, though he does stop short of attacking and potentially destroying it as it continues. Of course, it's all taken with skepticism and rather than simply trusting it, he ends up taking everything he possibly can under one arm and keeps his sword out in the other. He puts all of his effort into walking silently towards the mouth of the cave, to the shore while being on his guard. Unfortunately, it might mean the boy will strike at any unexpected surprise attackers. ]

B. Action – Genessia City

[ The more he looks into this place, the less it seems like a Galra colony. In fact, there are too many humans for it to be possible – or at least, they're human-like people. He can't tell for certain just from looking. Whatever the case, the lack of Galra there period is suspicious all on its own. Perhaps this was an untouched planet?

When he bumps into someone, the boy grunts briefly before looking to the person he bumped into. ]

S'cuse me.

[ He doesn't spare them another thought, instead making to continue on his way – even if his wandering, for the moment, doesn't really have aim. ]

[ Not long after Keith exits the bay, he'll find a familiar figure in his paladin armor, frowning to himself, helmet in his hand as he smacks his hand against it. ]

Dammit, you stupid thing, work!

[ He's getting anxious, he woke up in a strange land, a hot babe didn't respond to his flirting at all it took him a second to realize she was a hologram, okay?, he had no idea where his lion was and the comm unit in his helmet wasn't working. ]

I knew I should have gotten Pidge to look at it.

B. Action – Genessia City

[Terra turns to look at the boy who had run into her side. Bright blue eyes watch him curiously as he excuses himself. There is a brief second where she considers leaving him but her grip on her flower basket tightens and she turns to face the boy as he steps away.]

Are you lost?

[Her voice is soft but strong, her green hair falling in ringlets as they brush against her jaw. The rest of her hair is pulled back leaving only wisps free of the bright clip.]

We could be out of range.

[ Well, at least one familiar face was there. Keith can't help a sigh as he approaches, relaxing a little more. ]

I haven't seen any Galra here, but we shouldn't let our guards down.

[ What? He's immediately tense, his hand at his side and ready to call his bayard at any moment. He turns to face the girl then, suspicious with the girl's statement. ]

Why do you say that?

[blue_paladin]

[ The voice causes Lance to freeze before looking over his shoulder at his fellow Paladin, making a face. Because if there's one thing he won't do, it's show excitement at seeing a familiar face. Well, okay, he would, but it's Keith, so. No. ]

No one asked you.

[ At the mention of the Galra though, Lance's expression changes and he straightens, tucking his helmet under an arm. ]

No, I haven't either. Which is kinda strange, since they are pretty much let's just destroy the place and screw everything else.

[greenmagick]

[Terra's fingers lightly pinch the stem of a rose, rotating the flower slowly.]

I've seen many arrive here. They usually have the same look.

[She doesn't look nervous but she's unsure if she should press further. She doesn't want to make things uncomfortable.]

Like I said, stay on your guard.

[ He stops only a short distance away, standing tall and summoning his bayard to his hand. ]

Just because the people here're not hostile now doesn't mean they're not dangerous.

So you get a lot of people arriving here without them meaning to?

[ He's staring at her, still stiff and not daring to break eye-contact with Terra. ]

[ Lance is 99.9% tempted to make a face at Keith's back because really? Really? He's been doing this Paladin thing just as long as he has and just because he was an idiot when it came to Nyma doesn't mean he hadn't learned his lesson by now.

Well, okay, it was probably debatable if he had or hadn't, but still. ]

Yes, I know, learned that lesson already, thank you, but that doesn't mean we can just go attacking the first one that crosses our path either, Mr. Shoot First Ask Questions Later.

[ Although he does adjust his grip on his helmet, his other hand dropping to his side to feel the familiar weight of his own bayard. ]

I'm just saying we shouldn't be taking our chances.

[ It does satisfy him to see that Lance is at least a little ready just in case. Even Lance can be careful sometimes... ]

What do you think we should do then?

[ Hey. He can be taught!

... Sometimes. ]

Maybe find some of the locals and you know, chat them up.

[ He winks as he says it. You can probably figure out where that's going to go.

Then again, neither of them have Allura's diplomacy skills. Or Shiro's skills. So there's that too. ]

[She answers directly in a kind tone.]

We don't know why but people arrive and disappear without warning.

So you didn't notice any weird spaceships crashing here? Nothing?

[ Rolling his eyes so hard. Seriously, he knows how bad you are buddy, but it never gets any less annoying. ]

We'll try it your way, but I'm not about to leave you alone here.

There is a field around each city. You cannot crash anything here from space. There is a... darkness... on the other side of it.

[She's been here a long time.]

[ Lance stops for a brief second, staring at Keith before a shit-eating grin breaks out on his face.

He just had an idea. And Keith agreed to it.

Okay, so it wasn't the first time - he had been the one who kept Keith from blindly charging in and accidentally hurting the Balmera and honestly, they did make a pretty decent team when Keith wasn't showing off.

Then the rest of Keith's words hit him and he frowned, leveling a hand on his hip. ]

I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself. Unless you need a babysitter. Then I suppose I could go along.

Darkness? That's not possible.

[ He frowns, momentarily at a loss as he tries to process just what Terra is telling him. Maybe the wormhole within this... Is it a forcefield? Or a prison of some kind? ]

Whatever it is, it's keeping everyone trapped here?

[ He almost growls, one of his eyes twitching with the flare of his temper. Seriously, can't he think like a paladin for once in his life? Of all the people he could have been stuck with... ]

[ Okay, see. The jokes and the prodding? It's how he copes, okay? It's how he keeps from thinking too long about his family, his home and tries to keep himself going. Sorry his coping methods don't involving the training deck and gladiators out to kill him.

Picking at Keith, snarking at Keith... this was the most normal thing that has happened since the wormhole. It keeps his mind from wandering, to wondering what happened to Hunk, Pidge, Shiro, Allura and Coran. To Blue and the rest of the lions.

But it's not like he's going to tell Keith that. Hell freakin' no. The last thing he wants or needs is his rival getting something else to hold over his head. ]

That's one way to look at it. I think it's also keeping us safe.

[She's seen what monsters are on the other side of it.]

[ It's weird, the sense of normalcy the conversation is giving. If he didn't know better he'd say it actually eases his nerves a little. Well, not like Lance needs to know that either. ]

So when this field opened, a bunch of weird creatures came into the city?

Yes and it took people sacrificing parts of themselves to close it.

[She doesn't remember all of the details. She had just returned to the city at the time.]

Dude, you are totally not going to let me live the Nyma thing down, are you?

[ Sacrificing parts of themselves? It sounded like complete fantasy, but then again he wouldn't have believed that he'd be piloting a red mecha lion a few weeks ago either. ]
