*The people in this world seem to be increasingly blind and deaf, unable to feel. It's a horrible thing to watch others go through. Sonico has managed, somehow, to keep herself free from the effects of whatever this illness might be, and she's determined to offer what help she can.

For the benefit for those that can't see, she introduces herself*

Good morning, everyone. It's Sonico here. I'd like to extend my help to anyone who finds themselves struggling. Perhaps you need personal help to aid yourself, or around your home. I am willing. Or perhaps you are unable to do daily tasks and chores, or to go to your place of work. I will do my best to help you. Please don't be afraid to be in touch.

*Next, for those who are perhaps unable to hear, Sonico repeats the same speech, this time holding up pieces of card with the message written on in bold green letters*

If you know someone who requires help but will not ask, please let me know.

*Sonico ends the video with a sincere smile and a bow*

How nice of you to be able to offer the help for those who need it.

[It was very nice of her to offer to help those who were suffering from...whatever is happening to them. Thank goodness she wrote what she said onto paper. Aya couldn't hear anything. It doesn't sit well with him, since hearing is something he'd like to have to be alert.]

[He doesn't know if he wants anyone to know he's gone deaf, but it wouldn't do to go without help.]

[Especially since his eyes feel like they've got something fuzzy in them at times.]

*Sonico smiles lightly and nods*

I want to do the best I can. I don't know if I might become afflicted too so I want to help while I'm..okay.

How are you?

*Sonico can only assume that he has lost his hearing if he is texting - he didn't mind speaking before*

I'm just looking out for everyone to make sure they are safe.

No. No one has...yet.

Are you doing okay?

[Crystal smiles into the screen.]

That's nice kind of you. Do you need any help Sonico? I don't know what I can do but having another pair of hands can't hurt.

[She does know how to cook and basic first aid. She's lived on her own for a long time and has made herself learn to be self sufficient.]

*Sonico smiles at Crystal, pleased to see that she seems okay*

Hmm... Well. At the moment, I'm doing okay. But - there's quite a lot of demand for cooking... I - Don't really have many pots and things in my kitchen so... It's hard to keep up...

*But she is terrible for not asking for help, so she doesn't actually ask. Just tells her*

[Crystal laughs softly.]

I'll be happy to help you cook and supply more pots if it will help. I think the pair of us will be faster that way won't we?

*As soon as Crystal offers, though, Sonico's eyes light up*

Oh really? You would? Oh - but only if you don't mind. It will be faster but... I can do fine if you're busy.

*Aka pretty please come help!*

I have no plans Sonico and I'd be honored to assist you.

[Crystal smiles at the younger girl, finding her energy both charming and infectious.]

Can we meet at the park? My new apartment is just by there.

I'll be there in about thirty minutes. Is that alright?

[Her apartment is in Nova City and while she can grab a taxi to the archway its still a little bit aways.]

*And so she does. She heads out to meet Crystal with her backpack on in case she needs any help with carrying things. As she waits at the park, she admires the neaeby trees*

[Crystal grabs a few things before heading out. Her bag is a little big but she manages to walk gracefully with it in tow. When she spots Sonico she smiles and waves a hand.]

You weren't waiting long were you?

[She tried to be quick but it still took fifteen minutes.]

*Sonico smiles and gives a small wave in return as she approaches her friend, eyeing the large bag*

Not at all. Would you like some help with your things?

So... if someone had, say, gone totally blind - would you help keep their place tidy? Free of tripping hazards and whatnot?

I think if you don't go blind you should be able to help for the most part.

[She thought she could try and heal, but she wasn't sure that would actually work or not.]

[She's too smart for her own good.]

I've seen better days. I picked the wrong area to live in.

*If only that were true. Wouldn't she just love it if someone thought she was smart for a change*

*Sonico nods at that and smiles, though the effect is rather faint*

This is true, but sadly people seem to be more affected than they realise by a whole sort of issues with their senses.

Yep. Sounds like you've figured it out already.

[ ... he's lying. But he's pretty sure he can fake it long enough to get away with getting his apartment cleaned. ]

Well... I don't want to burden you, but it's pretty tough to make a half decent meal like this, so...

Not at all! Here - I can carry something and I can put some things in my backpack too if that's easier. My new apartment is just a few minutes away, though.

*And so off she sets to her new apartment - not the classiest place ever, but definitely cosy and pleasant enough, reflecting a bit more of how much she has been paid from her various jobs.

The apartment itself has a large living space with a kitchen area attached, which is where Sonico heads to first*

Here we are. I've already started making some soup... That's...pretty much the best thing that I make.
