Alley wheeled around to shine her flashlight at him at the movement, but relaxed as soon as she saw it was just Cole. And his hat. She chuckled a little at that, the sound gone as fast as it had come. The spirit had his priorities.
"Right, then," she began picking her way toward the door. It was a little complicated, with the cart on its side like this, and involved climbing over the sides of a lot of crumbling seating. Once she reached the door she leaned back and kicked, sending the old wooden entrance flying open with about as much noise as she'd made falling through the cart to begin with. Light shone in; there was a gap between the carts where the coupling mechanism had been. This one had been wrenched free; the next cart was upright. On wheels, she noticed upon climbing out. Huh.
"I think this was some kind of... caravan?" she hazarded, looking under the next cart and seeing the tracks through gaps in the flowers where they hadn't spread as vigorously in the dark. "It moved, anyway."
