[4th silverware:] Opening of a new subarchway: Phantomhive Mansion in Everglade
Who: Open? Drop me a PM on his journal or my plurk if you want to log
Where: Phantomhive Manor Sub Archway, Everglade
When: 11/5 to 11/6
"Hatred and sorrow are power. They are yours to control. All you have to do is turn them into strength, and use that strength to move forward." He always told the Young Master that advice. It was his favorite advice among the many.
~
He was gone a few days ago. His Young Master is gone. However, being a demon of pride and dignity, he made no public announcement. None is needed, he figured it wasn't necessary. The day Ciel is gone that morning, Sebastian closed down Funtom Corp. in Nova City, and left a sign saying, "CLOSED FOR TWO WEEKS - GONE FOR VACATION." Because the demon needed a break. He's tired. Very tired. One can say he is quite heart broken since his seal that bound his soul and powers to his Master remain intact - a powerful irreversible contract that can never be broken by space, time, and distance.
All of that work to upkeep the company has become tedious - he did the cooking, the sales, the advertising, the delivery - sure he can do all that beyond human means, multitasking so many jobs for a salary of one, as he isn't human. He didn't mind it, it passes the time, and all of that work is really child's play.
He went to the dream docks, to get some sleep, to figure out what to do. The dreams signified that his Young Master went home safely, and that's all he needed to know. When he woke up, he didn't feel any better. If anything, he felt trapped here while his dream-self continued his duty.
So that morning, when he woke up, in a moment of quiet despair, because how else a demon can occupy his time other than to live in a dream? The city can trap his body and his powers in this cage of a reality, but not his mind. He made a wish to his CPU, thinking flippantly it wouldn't work. It's not like he isn't glad to sacrifice it, he didn't want to, but now, it serves no purpose without the Young Master, isn't? And anyway, he would have wished it sooner, as a surprise gift for his Lord, but in the end, the wish serves his grief alone.
Sebastian was alerted later on a Sunday morning, that his wish is granted. While it's only a clone version of the original, it would do.
The Subarchway to the Phantomhive Mansion is opened...of all irony in Everglade. And in that manor, the demon lives alone. Anyone searching the Network will find it in their CPUs, that the infamous vampire town now has a mansion that arose out of the wood works.
Well, actually, Sebastian did not live entirely alone. He's going to spend the rest of the Sunday morning, and perhaps for the rest of his two week vacation searching for stray cats that wandered around the estate's property and the forests that is everywhere around the mansion...to find and keep for company, as demon now has the time...to think for himself.
Because even demons need a kitty break as his mind has come to a complete halt.

Having seen the new addition pop up on the CPU he couldn't help but head straight to it to explore.
He knew of the dangers of Everglade with it's residence but it honestly didn't stop him as he'd dealt with worse before.
Finding the mansion was not that hard considering its size and he wasted no time flying around the area checking out the grounds first when he spotted someone. He kept quiet and snuck into the trees to watch a bit curious as to what the other was doing.
no subject
Either way, Sebastian was observing a stray cat, engaging in a staring contest when he sense someone close by flying on his property. He heard a rustling in the trees, when he looked into Jack's direction of his hiding place.
"Hello? Is someone there?"
no subject
He was curious about the other, but with it being Everglade he wasn't going to approach first.
no subject
"You can come out. You don't have to hide. It's not like I'm going to call the police and put you in jail. I will scold you for being rude and not saying hello at least. My name is Sebastian and this is my estate."
no subject
He jumped out of the tree and landed softly on the ground his staff over his shoulder.
"I'm Jack Frost. So what made you want to have an estate in these parts anyways?"
He gestured to the random forest before his attention was taken away by a cat rubbing up against his leg.
no subject
Sebastian eyed the feline and smiled. "Oh, this?" Sebastian longingly look at the mansion. "It was meant to be a present, a gift for my Master. Then this world decided to be cruel and send my young Master back home to our home world."
no subject
He moved to pick the cat up and let it perch on his shoulder as he watched the other.
no subject
With a huff, as he is still...feeling quite indignant and even hurt and angry at his loss as he is still remain here.
Trying to change the subject to stay friendly and pleasant, "What of yourself? I sense a strange power from you. You're not human like me."
no subject
"Ah, I'm sorry it did that."
He really wasn't great at the whole comforting thing. He was glad when Sebastian changed the subject though.
"Ah, yeah I guess I'm not. I'm a spirit, spirit of winter to be exact and Guardian of Fun."
He was proud of that title.
no subject
"A spirit of winter and Guardian of Fun?"
Ah, Jack Frost. Sebastian gets it.
"Aha, if that's the case. I envy your status as a spirit. Back home, there are Death Gods or reapers who are in charge of separating the soul from the body upon death. And then there are demons, dark spirits who make contracts with humans and grant them wishes. When a wish is granted, the demon gets to do what they wish with the soul."
no subject
That was something he was still getting used to.
He listened as Sebastian described the beings of his world and it made him raise an eyebrow. He'd heard of demons and death gods and was sure that somewhere in his world they existed. After all Pitch could be considered something close to a demon.
"You seem to know a lot about that sort of stuff? Is it common in your world?"
no subject
Sebastian is really trying to simplify his world in simple terms, so Jack can understand.
"While most demons leaning toward to evil acts call sin, they are leaning toward selfish inclinations of the soul's will. We eat souls the same way vampires need to feed on human blood. Like animals in the wild, we feed basing on the principle that it was needed for survival...however, a soul has consciousness, so we can only eat if there is free-will involved, and an agreement is made."
A pause, a beat. "Anyway, I just find you interest, with you being a spirit of nature, as I'm a demon, and the only way for me to maintain my human form because it was my Master's wish to appear this way to best serve him...in a function of a butler."
no subject
"So do demons normally have pointed tails and horns when in your non human form?"
Yes, he's now craning his neck to look behind you curious if it was hiding under that tail coat.
The cat on his shoulder gave a meow in protest as he moved and repositioned himself so he wouldn't topple off.
no subject
For now, he make Jack an exception, since they existed on a metaphysical scale.
"Many from my home world fit that description. Some have wings. I have wings too. I can't bring them out to show you as it's strenuous for me to draw the energy out, but mine are like that of a raven's wings."
no subject
"That's really neat. I know someone with wings though she's more a fairy, but she's covered in feathers. As for demons the closest I've met personally in my world is the Boogey man."
no subject
A stray feline wandered between them, looking up at the two of them closely and curiously.
"Anyway, you have nothing to fear of me, as there is nothing I want from you. I can only eat the soul of my master upon his death - by whatever means when the divine time comes. He made a wish, a sacrifice of himself to bring me to his world, so that can't be change. It's...the divine law of my world that is very much fixed for thousands of years. So, I suppose it be a matter of time before I leave this world to rejoin him."
A pause, thinking it through. Changing the subject again, "In the meantime, I wish to express my gratitude for you to visit me. If you want to come inside, I can make you a cup of tea or dinner."
no subject
He was glad to know that Sebastian didn't have an interest in eating him, though did he have a soul? That was something he wasn't sure of being a spirit.
On the change of subject though his eyes lit up.
"Do you have hot chocolate?"
He usually didn't like hot things but that drink was an exception.
no subject
With a sigh of relief, "You know, it's been so long since I last have a guest that ask for sweets. Yes, I can make that with marshmallows if you desire." He gestured Jack to follow him to the manor...while taking some of the stray cats in his arms to take them away from the forests to his home.
"You know, I work at the Funtom Company in Nova City. Though, now with Ciel gone, most likely I have to manage the company on my own. Perhaps you have heard of us? We're a sweets and confectionery company that makes candy and chocolates, among other things and we sell them to the general public."
no subject
He happily followed the cat still balanced on his shoulder. It was a misty white colored cat with two toned eyes and seemed to have taken a liking to him.
"I've had some of the candy from there. I didn't know your Master and you managed it though. That must be a lot of work."
no subject
"You said you're a guardian of winter and fun? You know, my company produce products aiming for a children audience. You're not employed elsewhere by any chance?" If there is anything Sebastian has a knack for? Hiring people and use their strengths to his advantage. That's how he found the three servants Mei-rin, Bard, and Finnan for the Phantomhive household.
no subject
"Uh...I don't really have any skills for working anywhere...I more just cause snow days and start snowball fights."
no subject
"I see. Still, if you ever make up your mind, I have a job position for you at my company. I would need you before December, so you can give me your answer preferably next week."
Closing the door, he lead Jack to the dining room. "Wait here, while I go to the kitchen for that hot chocolate."
And the butler disappeared off to the kitchen.
no subject
"I guess it wouldn't be to bad...I just don't really have the skills to do it."
Lead to the dining room he'd wait for Sebastian to return before continuing.

When he returned shortly with a silver tray, with two huge mugs of hot chocolate and a small mountain of marshmallows on top, with hot fudge for a topping, he laid one for Jack to drink.
"I heard you. It's all right, I can train you. I was thinking you can do something for the children, since it is the company's target audience...especially with Christmas season coming next month."

That was until this new place came about on her CPU. Her curiosity got the better of her and tentatively, she decided to explore this mysterious Subarchway. It was early afternoon, and the day was a misty, cold one, so Shiemi was bundled up appropriately to shield herself from the cold.
Occasionally she would look over her shoulder, and even stop in her tracks to listen and see if she was being followed, but she arrived in one piece. Shiemi breathed a sigh of relief.
The outside of the mansion was absolutely breathtaking, yet she did not dare go inside. She busied herself with petting the various felines and looking at her CPU every now and again to check the time. Her gloved hands ran through the fur of a spotted tom-cat, who purred softly as she cooed softly to it.
“So many stray cats… I wonder where they all came from.” She muses to herself, picking up the cat and curling her arms around his body to keep him warm. For now she’s wandering around the front lawn, sometimes giving the mansion a appreciative glance over.
no subject
He gave a quick thank you before taking a sip a satisfied sigh escaping him.
"This is really good."
He took a few more sips as he listened, contemplating whether or not he should take the job offer. He wasn't really one for jobs but to help with Christmas he would definitely enjoy that.
"I can try my best."

On the front lawn, Sebastian is working on trimming the plants, mostly dead leaves and flowers, and cut them off with a scissor like tool. He was looking down, to check for any dead parts of his plants that needs trimming.
It was then he looked up and noticed her wandering on the front lawn. She was the second visitor beside Jack Frost. Curious, he came up to her to have a better look.
"Hello? Are you lost?" He said, as he approached her cautiously. For the most part, she looked harmless.
no subject
"I'm glad you liked it. You're welcome."
Sebastian took a seat and trying to blend in, he drank his mug of hot chocolate too.
"Let's start in the third week of November. The training should take you one or two weeks. It's not that demanding because it's a small company."
