[It had been a while since Lenalee made a public post with video. She shivered slightly at remembering what the last one happened to be about. It was something she didn't need to be reminded about. Never the less she was currently standing in the kitchen, something sweet was in the oven and she was covered head to foot in what appeared to be flour. Smiling sweetly she held the device firmly.]

Good afternoon everyone, I hope that you are all having a good day. [She looked over slightly.]

I've spent most of my day baking different kinds of cake. I kind of got so much into it that I ended up making way to much cake for just me to eat. [She turned the device around and low and behold on most of the counters there appeared to be cakes of different sizes and styles. Most appeared to be nicely baked at least.]

So... I was kind of hoping that people out there would like some. Just ask for a certain kind and I'll see if I made it yet. [She paused for a moment before turning the device back to herself, a slight frown passing by her lips.]

Also I had a question. While my current job is fine and all... It's not something I had planned to do forever. So I was wondering how did some people figure out what they wanted to do in life? Or at least here anyway?

Dear me, Miss, if you haven't posed one of the best questions I've seen thus far here~

A good first step is asking yourself what you want.

Also; I am a bit partial to carrot cake, if you happen to have some.

I'll never turn down cake. Especially homemade cake.

As for my job, I take it we're talking about jobs we had before showing up here? I was kind of born into mine. Never had much of a choice, but I've learned to enjoy it.

I have enough room for all your cake.

[Crosses her arms and nods once in finality.]

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not. I'd like to believe your not though.

[She asks herself that all the time, but when she had lived most of her life, at least what she remembered from her life she had always spent it at the order, so thinking of a life outside is still something she isn't sure how to think about it.]

Admittedly... I ask myself that but I draw a blank. It's why I just ended up working at a coffee shop because I know I can at least do that. As for the cake, I did make a carrot one I can bring to you.

Do you have a certain kind you would prefer or just any kind.

Kind of, but like peopel growing up eventually figure out what they want in life. I haven't because of my situation at home as well. But here we at least now have that choice and was wondering how people manage to figure it out.

Do you really? I mean it really is a lot of cake.

[He moves to a window now with the camera, propping it up and giving a few of the city skyline as opposed to himself.]

Rather instead; consider what you like to do. If you enjoy something as a hobby; you might consider that for a path... Though you did ask about me, and my circumstance.

[He takes up the phone again, having donned a light coat despite the weather.]

I don't mind discussing it, but are you near the library? I might collect that cake from you there, if possible~

For me; learning has been something of a family business, and as I do enjoy learning; the sciences have been a favorite, though I've held many jobs.

I will eat whatever you put in front of me.

Good question. Let me know what you hear. I've not figured it out myself. Hell, I haven't really stopped what I was doing. I've always been a fighter, so the whole Deputy Guardian thing just kinda felt natural.

...oh, so now you're challenging me, huh? Well, challenge accepted!

I can't say I am near the library, but I live in Genessia so it wouldn't take me long.

[She could even use her boots if that helped, would get her there much quicker.]

So you went with doing something based on learning because it was something you enjoyed? I went with making coffee because I enjoyed doing that, but now I know not as a full time job.

So it's something you enjoy doing? I mean that's something I heard that people will do things that they enjoy.

I... wasn't challenging you, but if you want to eat all the cake you can, I won't stop you either.

[He moved outside, letting out a breath that held an undeniably pleased note. The weather suited him much more now.]

That is arguably the appeal of a hobby; it is fun to do, but not constantly. It takes a considerable amount of trial and error for many people. Part of the fun of life is finding what you enjoy.

Let me ask another question, what all have you considered doing?

It's sort of in my blood. Let's just say I take after my old man there.

Well, just point me in the right direction, and I'll be there in no time!

[She paused quietly, well she was going to answer honestly at least.]

I haven't really considered anyway, but I never expected to be able to ever think about something like this before.

Well I never had someone explain why they do something like that. So it's like a family business, which makes sense.

I'll bring the cake to you if you have a place in mind.

[This is just getting better!]

[She sounded painfully sheltered, and normally he'd be quick to try and change that, but he was also making an effort on his part to try new things.]

Let's make a deal~ Since you are providing me with a cake; why don't we peek in the library? It will likely not be a miraculous happen-upon answer, but it should at least give you a starting place.

That's not quite it.

[He sighs, holding up a finger before retrieving a bottle of booze from off screen.]

It's a long story, but if you want to hear it, there's no harm in telling it. At least the demons that knew my old man can't seem to worm their way in here.

[If only he knew... She nods slightly, that was at least a start anyway.]

That should be okay, I mean I might see if there is anything I might want to read when not working anyway if I don't find anything.

Demons... [She might be a little interested, but she was thinking about it for a moment.]

What is your world like if there are things like demons?

Ah, Sand Gym. Got it!

[She was at least aware of where that was and it really wouldn't take her long should she use her boots.]

Shouldn't take me long either. [At least five to ten minutes before she is there with about as much cake as she could carry while using her boots, which was sadly only two this time.]

I'm gonna take that as an invitation to tell the story.

[He pauses long enough to take a long drink from the bottle.]

Okay. Thousands of years ago, there was a demon that basically conquered all of the Demon World. The Demon Emperor Mundus. He was a pompous 3-eyed douche that wasn't content to just sit around ruling the demons. Nope, he wanted our world as well. Using promises of power, influence, and wealth, he built a loyal following in humans who built a tower to act as a bridge between the two worlds. But, as Mundus was getting ready to march his armies into the human world, he was betrayed by one of his top generals; the Dark Knight Sparda.

Sparda proceeded to leave Mundus' armies in shambles single-handedly, came through the bridge and sealed the portal behind him. Apparently he wasn't too fond of just rolling through a world that couldn't really offer much in the way of resistance. And, after trapping himself in the human world, he decided he liked it here. He found a wife, settled down, had a pair of twins... and then he vanished.

I'm half of the twins, my brother Vergil being the other half. When we were kids, Mundus' armies began finding loopholes, allowing for a handful of demons to come over at a time. Not suitable for bringing an army, but good enough to send a hit squad to take out Sparda. But, with Sparda gone, they settled on the next best thing; his family. Our mother died defending us from the demons, and Vergil and I were separated with only the swords our old man left us to remind us of who we were.

That's when I decided to take up Devil Hunting. Mundus wasn't going to stop sending people after me once he realized I was alive, and maybe if I made a name for myself I could figure out what happened to Vergil, and maybe even take out ol' Mundus himself.

[He shrugs as he takes another drink.] And that, as they say, is that.
