WHO: Weiss and Nora, then eventually anyone else in the house who wants to come find out why there's growling and yelling if they can't sleep through it
WHAT: Weiss has a nightmare and accidentally summons a Grimm in the bedroom
WHEN: 2:14am (specificallyi'm just messing it's just sometime too early to be called morning)
WHERE: Weiss and Nora's bedroom
WARNINGS: There's gonna be a fight.
[ Weiss wasn't really good at getting to sleep anymore. The days when she was exhausted at the end were the easiest, but most nights she turned to one of her Pokemon to sing her to sleep. Tonight had been one of the nights when she'd been exhausted. Stressed, but she had thought she was okay. Being okay while awake didn't mean that the nightmares wouldn't come though, and after finding out that Flynt was gone, after finding out that Whitley was here, the stress of the party (even if she had enjoyed it that didn't mean it was without its stresses), and the stress of the election, the situation with Jaune..
More and more things had been piling up and while the nightmares seemed to come at their own will, they weren't usually as bad anymore. This wasn't one of those nights. This was one of the nights where her nightmares about going home collided with her nightmares about staying here, and her instincts meant that when she subconsciously gripped the sheets as if she were trying to hold onto something for dear life, the whole room lit up with a glyph for a brief moment and rather suddenly, even as heavy a sleeper as Nora would be woken up by the silence-piercing roar of an oddly colored white Beowulf in the bedroom. And since Nora is the only person besides Weiss in the room...
Well, it would probably help if Weiss woke up from the nightmare that she's trying to protect herself from, but she seems to be having one of those fun sleep paralysis during nightmare moments. Good luck, Nora. ]

Nora is in a death-like slumber in the other bed, with one leg sticking out of the covers while she snores softly. She has no problems sleeping, even after a stressful day. Especially as a deputy guardian in charge of protecting different sectors, she's become extra tired. And ESPECIALLY because it had been a while since she could sleep in the same room as Weiss and not have to worry about her waking up in the middle of the night for a lecture after that picture leak.
...well, this time is a bit special. No lecture is in store for Nora, but a loud roar from a Grimm. If anything could get her up and awake, it's that, right after the scent of Ren's fresh pancakes.
Blue eyes snap awake and Nora rolls up, all the while pulling out Maginhild from the covers (yes, she sleeps with it) in its grenade launcher mode and aiming it at the creature. It's not hard to spot it with how...glowy it's being. Just what the hell is going on?!
Before it could get a good charge at her, Nora fires off one round, which hits it in the face. The room lights up in pink, and there is DEFINITELY the loudest of explosions that reverberates off the walls of the room, and probably the house. Barefoot, Nora leaps from the bed and runs parallel to the Beowulf, changing it into its war hammer form. Naturally, Nora would have hit the wall, if she hadn't planned to use it as leverage to jump off it. With a wide swing, the movement gives Nora a twirl id-air once she jumps and hits the Grimm.
....straight through a wall into someone else's bedroom. Oops.
Well, they need to get up anyway. They got company!]

Nora, what on earth?
[ And then she heard it. The Beowulf in the other room, and within a second she had Myrtenaster in hand. It was, of course, next to her bed and propped against the wall close enough to be grabbed because it's slightly easier to stab yourself with a sword than with a hammer. No time to put shoes on, Weiss stood up and moved over to Nora's side, only for her eyes to widen when she saw the Grimm itself, her grip on Myrtenaster waning and her sword lowering just slightly.
No. No, no, no, that wasn't- What did she do? ]
St- [ How was she supposed to control it? ] Stop, don't attack anyone. Go away!
[ It didn't look interested in listening. Weiss was still too stressed out, the guilt of accidentally summoning something on Nora of all people making her anxiety worsen far too much to calmly order around a summon. It probably sounded like lunacy trying to speak to an attacking Grimm to anyone but Weiss, though. ]

A Beowolf wasn't particularly frightening to Jaune anymore, but he wasn't a deep sleeper. When he was already on edge about putting himself in a vulnerable position for several hours, waking up to a terrifying roar that was distinctively different from Nora's snoring and opening his eyes to a terrifying, otherworldly horror wasn't his best moment.
He had rolled to his side, ducking out of the bed and not yet noticing the hole in the wall. He scrambled to put on his gauntlet, dropping it.]
Come on!
[He froze when he heard Weiss, and saw her looking scared and stressed.
Weiss was in danger.
He slammed the gauntlet on and yelled shrilly.]
Weiss, get out of here!
[That was her only warning before he sent a powerful blast of water at the Grimm-- Except, he had been so focused on reacting, he didn't think to aim, and hadn't released the trigger, so the path of water soaked his walls and was heading straight in Weiss' direction.]

And now there's a rush of water heading towards them!!
...or just Weiss, because Nora's fast. Hope you like being wet, Weiss. Nora runs and slides under the water and rolls to the Beowulf. It lashes out at her with its claws, which Nora barely escapes the attack. She'll have a scratch on her shoulder, but that wolf is about to have more than that!
Crouching, Nora readies herself to swing Magnhild upwards to basically uppercut the beast. Remember that food fight, and Yang went flying for a few minutes? Now they have time to regroup! Better make it fast!
And hope that it'll come through their roof and not someplace else.]

And by recover, that means standing up from her spot on the floor and wiping the water out of her eyes because she took that full in the face since she wasn't expecting friendly fire let alone enemy fire at that point. Though the fact that she doesn't take the regroup as a moment to yell at Jaune for hitting her probably should be the second clue that she's interpreting this attack far different than a normal Grimm attack.
She uses the moment to retrieve Myrtenaster, narrowing her eyes at the sky as she sees the beast coming down. It couldn't be that much stronger than a regular Beowulf, so she doubted it would survive another hit once it impacted the ground, but Weiss had an idea. She backed up so there was enough space between her and Nora or Jaune that there would be time. ]
Jaune, the second it lands I need to you to try to attack me! Nora, stand behind Jaune and jump over him to finish it when it goes to block Jaune's strike. Don't argue! [ She wanted to say 'just trust me' but once they figured out what kind of Grimm came in white she had her doubts that was appropriate. If she could trust herself she could calm down and get the thing to disappear on her own right now, but with the way her heart was racing and everything was going to pieces right now, she wasn't sure how to calm down enough to control it. ]

[Jaune had gone rushing, and slides to a halt while the Beowolf flies through the ceiling. When had Nora gotten here?]
What was that thing? [He looks up at the hole in the ceiling, waiting to see where it lands. His concern over what the Grimm fades. Weiss is basically ordering him to attack her, and even though she tells him not to argue, he doesn't listen.]
Why would you even ask me to do that?! You're not making any sense, Weiss, I'm not--
[The loud crash of something falling cuts him off, along with some soul-crushing roars.]
I think that was the outside kitchen.

At the sound of the roar, Nora cranes her neck to see if they could see the creature coming their way yet.]
We have an outside kitchen? [That's the other question on her mind. Two kitchens and no one is making pancakes in them? Rude.]

[ She can feel it draining her aura, too. The only times she's managed to summon, it's taken a lot of energy to do so, and doing it in her sleep without clear instructions besides wanting to be protected from everything in her dream it was basically just rampaging at anyone that wasn't her. If that's the fear that created it, she had a feeling it would come to protect her just like she said. She's only managed to summon it when she had someone she wanted to protect, anyway. ]
Nora, you live here, how did you not notice the kitchen?

[Jaune slumps in relief, but before he can catch his breath he's sprinting out his door because it's the fastest way there.
He stops when he sees the Beowulf and tries to get its attention, cupping his hands over his mouth and shouting at the top of his lungs. If the destruction so far hasn't woken up their roommates, nothing will.]
Hey! Uh. Snow...wolf. Over here! I'm going to attack your queen!
no subject
[Right??
It's a conversation for a later time. Right now, Nora starts thinking defensively, standing between them, and readies herself to protect Jaune whenever the monster comes back, and not hit him. Easy enough!]
Just don't jump, Jaune. [Else he'll end up the nail to her hammer.
It's not clear whether or not the Beowulf understood Jaune, but its attention is definitely on them, now. Nora grips her weapon and squares her body for an attack.]
no subject
Jaune you have to actually attack me! It doesn't speak English, it's still a Grimm! It's just one that should be friendly, normally!
[ And it would be if she wasn't terrible at controlling it. Come to think of it, the only time she's actually succeeded was when she didn't know it was actually going to happen. Good to know unlocking the ability without honing it didn't have any negative repercussions. It's a miracle it didn't happen already. Still, sure enough the Beowulf seems to be staking them out, looking like it's getting ready to attack Jaune again, though not quite going to protect Weiss yet. ]

[He glances over at the Beowulf, then Weiss, groaning and clenching his eyes shut.] Fine. [He doesn't want to look while he does this okay, he charges at Weiss and lifts up his armed hand as if to attack her.]
no subject
That was all the Beowulf needed to come at Jaune head on! On all fours, it charges Jaune with no let up. Nora watches carefully to make sure to take Jaune away at the right moment. If it's too early, it'll chase them both. If it's too late, then...well, he might die.
As usual, no pressure.
Nora waits until it extends a claw towards Jaune as it leaps the distance. Jumping on Jaune from behind, Nora tackles him to the ground, but she doesn't come out unscathed. It manages to scratch her on the back. It's not life threatening, but she'll definitely need to get it looked at.]

Thank you, and I'm sorry.
[ She whispers the words as the white Grimm dissolves, more quickly than a normal Grimm. It had only been there to defend her, it was her own ineptitude that had lead to this. Weiss slumps over, her hands on her knees and allows Myrtenaster to fall to the ground. Though she'd barely done much fighting, she was exhausted and still panicky, which was only making her more exhausted. When she had just barely arrived at Beacon, a single fight was exhausting and she'd improved her stamina enough to handle using tons of glyphs in a single battle. But using your semblance so frequently in battle took its toll when you weren't used to it; she'd felt it when she summoned the knight's arm the first time, but it wasn't until now that she realized it was a generally exhausting endeavor than just that specific fight, like using muscles you'd never used before.
But that was hardly the biggest issue here. She looks up apologetically and rushes to her friends' sides. ]
Nora, are you okay?
[ Jaune's okay, she knows that, he had a Nora blocking him. ]
