[At first there's blackness, then the camera flips over and there's a good view of the ground. Shortly after that the camera is facing upwards again and a scared-looking youth can be seen. With a frightened expression, he pokes at the screen but doesn't understand the functions so he doesn't address the video he's already accidentally switched on. Now clutching the device in his hand, obscuring the vision again, he begins walking and his anxious breathing can be heard.]

[Nervous an anxious young man that has no idea where he is? Sure meeting a 7 feet tall metal man that's equally irritated by the confusion will make things better.

Kay had woken up only about 30 minutes ago and this s not exactly how he had envisioned the afterlife. He hadn't expected one at all, stat. He's already gotten most things explained to him but it's not enough information and he walks towards the first organic he sees. Surely the people here might give him some pointers.]

Do you know where I can find the spaceport of this city? It's not on the map.

[The holographic woman had been frightening enough to see when he had been browsing the magazines earlier. He'd rushed away without even listening or picking up any information. It was lucky he still had on him the phone and the white box new arrivals got. He had just grabbed it all and held on to it. Now this tall metallic manlike figure was before him and it was even more startling. Was this a place of magic? But this didn't look like anything Graves had told him about. He realised that he still knew very little about the wizarding world but still...]

[He couldn't find any other words. His shoulders were hunched up and he looks like a scared rabbit about to flee.]

Are you okay? Ma-ahh, watching that is going to give me motion sickness!

[He abruptly halts with a startled sound. Luckily, he grasps the phone tighter instead of dropping it. Where did that voice come from?]

[Koumyou is a highly-respected, incredibly high-ranked Buddhist priest. So of course he's going to be a total sweetheart about this, right?]

OoOOoh, I'm a scary ghost!

[What little can be seen through the camera is shaking now.]

[Even his voice is trembling. He can't see anyone as his gaze darts around, not yet noticing the sound is coming from the device in his hand.]

[To Koumyou's credit, he doesn't keep up the joke for long.]

[A beat goes by.]

Well I'm not in your hand, but your phone is!

[At first Dairine has no idea if this guy is new or not. What she can tell is that the video wasn't intentionally turned on, so she'll try to be helpful.]

Hey buddy, your phone's on.

[The droid waits. He has patience in spades and no one can beat Kay at a staring contest. It helps that he doesn't have to blink.

But the young man in front of him isn't even looking up at him. After some long seconds, it's painfully clear that he's not going to get a proper answer.]

Not a talker, are you? Or you didn't understand me? You look like a baseline human. [But oh, right. He's an imperial droid model, so the kid might think he's with them.] I don't bite, promise. I just want to know how to leave this place.

I take it you don't know how the phone works, correct?

I can already assume that you are new if the breathing is anything to go by.

[It didn't sound like normal breathing anyway if one had been calm or anything.]

[Reinhardt has been making it a thing, go down and inspect the bay to see if there's new people in it. After all, it's no fun showing up on a cold January day in a sea cave with nothing but a hologram to talk to.

[He finally manages some hushed words.]

[There's a set of scared eyes directed at the camera.]

[The words are meek, not demanding.]

[Another voice! But he's not quite so freaked out now. He manages to look at the screen this time.]

Ph-phone?

It's... No. I've never seen anything like this before.

[His words are nervous and halting but after others have explained a little to him, he's calmed down a bit.]

[More voices. He nervously peers at the screen again.]

Who are you?

[Credence jumps, startled. He looks as if he isn't sure what he should do next, even just being greeted by this stranger. There's a small nod of his head as if in answer but otherwise he just stands there very awkwardly, shifting his feet. The phone and the box are clutched to his chest - but more by reflex than from fear of them being stolen.]

You really can speak! Fantastic. I was having doubts.

[Kay's joy is brief, though.] So we are both lost. Excellent.

My name is Yugi. I'm... sort of like you. Came here without warning. But unlike you I've been here for a while now.

[He figured that was the best way to explain it.]

Nor had I before I arrived here. At least the whole video and text thing was new anyway.

[It was such a strange thing.]

Do you need anything explained or need places to go to?

[Sure, Koumyou, let's use past tense there.]

[But he winces even as he says it. Does he even have any home to go back to? He thinks about how his Ma would be angry with him... but then he remembers she's gone.]

[The words come out in a nervous jumble.]

[He cringes as if the words hurt somehow and looks downward as if afraid to maintain any eye contact with the strange mechanical man.]

[As if it's all his fault somehow.]

I'm afraid I'm no help there! No one knows why any of us are here.

Oh... All... all right...

[He clearly isn't sure what else he should ask or say, nervously glancing around and not really looking directly at anything - certainly not at the screen.]

[Kay tone of voice soften some after seeing the reaction.]

Not your fault I got kidnapped. I'm just trying to see if there's a way out.

[She doesn't exactly sound certain about it though.]

[Except he has no idea where that was either, but maybe others did. It was a random hope.]

I looked around the cave I woke into and the bay but there was nothing useful there. And between you and me, I hate sand.

I know, same with a lot of people but we... really don't know anything about why we are here exactly, so finding a way home isn't exactly easy.

Well... I'm sure someday we'll be able to get the chance to go home. We just have to be patient.

Well most people try and find work, a place to live and settle a bit. However some do try and investigate this place and try to see if there is a possible way out. You could do that if you wanted.
