Trahearne couldn't say that wasn't exactly what he was expecting to happen. Nothing cut a meltdown in half like a fear spell, even if it created its own, unique kind of meltdown in the process. He calmly dumped the glass on the dustpan into the trash can, set it and the broom down, and went out into the living room again. At least he hadn't knocked over Caladbolg on its stand in a corner, that would've hurt. The house plants could be replaced.
