1st Audience [Action - Genessia City]

[Cold. Wet. Miserable. Terrified. In agony. All these words described Eleni as she walked briskly through the city, glancing around like a frightened rabbit. Hardly befitting an Empress. How could this happen? She'd been so, so careful. And Viviri hadn't alerted her of any magical presence in the vicinity of the palace. While she'd been skeptical at first, this city matched no records of any on Crescentia. The technology was even beyond that of the sky city, Tryma! While normally she would have been impressed, her current predicament voided that entirely.

Ugh. Why did she still feel so...hazy? Even her stomach hurt, and for someone who didn't normally get sick, Eleni imagined this is what it felt like. It didn't help that she was practically drenched, and her chest still ached horribly. She'd tried to stay in that pod she'd woken up in, but ended up being dumped into the bay. Her silken robes would be ruined, and her hair was a plastered mess. The entire situation had literally given her a heart attack.

...this was definitely not how she'd imagined her day would go.]

Oh...Lethe. What ever did I do to deserve this?

[She mumbled quietly, praying to the Goddess whom she had sworn herself to. Could She even hear her in this world? Eleni could only hope as she wandered the city, seeking a place to take refuge. A place she could be at least somewhat safe from harm.]

[Kay looking around the city for a place to get Cassian a new jacket when he spots the woman. The droid doesn't usually approach estranges but she looks lost and miserable, and he knows how that feels.]

Do you require assistance?

[While Arro had been in the midst of heading back to the bay to conduct a little private research to satisfy a theory he had formed. However...While he could overlook a newcomer usually; this one was in dire straits by the look of her; he had seen several people an unwanted bath upon awakening, but this one seemed practically drowned. Instead of rushing other though, he smiled.]

Miss~ New here?

[The voice is enough to get the lavender-haired girl to turn her head rather quickly. A...golem? She'd heard of the metal golems being built in Tryma. Eleni takes a step back, trying to gauge whether or not she could outrun it.]

...assistance?

[Eleni was clearly not one of the more amused newcomers to this world. Fidgety as she was, not rushing over was a good idea. Her lips kept moving, her fingers clenching as if to grab an invisible knife. Anyone familiar with magic could probably tell she was readying some sort of spell.

Hearing someone speak, likely to her, the Empress' head whipped around to face her potential assassin, her body tensing up.]

Who are you?

[For those he had never seen a 7ft tall combat droid, 'golem' it's the closest description. Kay sees her startles reaction and just stands still, trying to look as non threatening as possible.]

I'll rephrase that in a simpler way. Do you need help? Are you injured?

[Yes, that did certainly look like magic, which had been part of why he had come up; new magic was always interesting to study. however her reaction is almost priceless. Keeping his composure, Arro gives a small bow.]

Arro Caine, at your service~ But who are you, Miss?

[To be fair, she doesn't look very dangerous. It'd be pretty difficult to do so in her current condition anyway. Eleni stares at him like he's the one preparing some sort of offensive spell.]

I've never heard of you. [...well, that's a given.]

That's not important!

[It's definitely the closest thing she has to those in her world. Despite his attempt to appear nonthreatening, the girl takes another slow step back.]

I'm...fine. [She certainly doesn't look it.]

Manners are always important~

[Staring her down now, he moved in closer. The only thing he might be guilty of was taking notes. He was currently doing so, scribbling something in a small notepad in his hand.]

Manners aside, however; Do you need help finding your way around? Did you watch the hologram?

[There's definitely a quiet little 'hmph' from her at that. Manners matter little at the moment, at least in her mind. Safety first, everything else later. She glares at him when he starts taking notes, pointing at him accusingly.

...and is she trembling?]

W-what are you doing? Stop that. I don't know what you're talking about.

[Now there is a pause; was she that worked up? If she genuinely was; she might not last long here. Regardless he now had the issue of her being thusly worked up and possibly trembling... He cleared his throat to avoid laughing.]

Stop writing? I don't think I will~ You're an interesting one. Since you couldn't hear Miss Schnee's brief summary; you're in a new place. This place is called Genessia, and a great many have been pulled from their world here, myself included.

[Which was the short version and he planned to leave it that way.]

[Anyone who's had over a century's worth of contingency plans and backup plans for those plans to ensure their survival just thrown out the window would be the same! Of course, that could easily be just her.

Did he...did he just deny her?]

I demand you cease writing! Who do you think you are? I know I'm not in my world.

[Otherwise she wouldn't be in this...predicament.]

Dear me... [In the same tone she had used to call for Lethe earlier.]

You make demands of me? I am but a simple scholar; it is my business to write what I see... Alas. I suppose, for now, I shall cease so.

[Pocketing his notebook and pencil, he tilted his head to study her. She didn't seem especially keen on fun here, in that way she reminded him of Adela.]

Well, what do you plan to do now, if you know you're not in your own world?

[Once he puts away his writing implements, Eleni seems to relax just ever so slightly. She's still trembling a bit, but it's a start.]

A scholar? [She sounds a little doubtful, but if he's really just a simple scholar, there should be nothing to fear. She hopes so, anyway.]

My plans are none of your concern.

[Translated: She has none.]

[In a way, she was very quickly making him think of an Earth breed of dog...what a pity he couldn't recall the name off the top of his head.]

A scholar. [He repeated, before finally laughing softly at her next statement. Normally he'd be playing a bit closer to the vest, but seeing someone this deathly afraid of...existing was a rarity. Not to mention amusing.]

If you're certain, Miss. I suppose I can leave you here, alone. Who knows who or what might show up in my absence...

[How dare anyone find her problems amusing! At this rate, she's bound to have another heart attack. Why...why didn't Lethe protect her? Eleni sulks for a moment, at least until his second statement.]

What are you talking about? How dangerous is this place?!

[Okay, back to the panicked squirrel look.]

[He gave a roll of his shoulders. Danger was of course relative; he suspected she might find this place unlivable.]

Well, crime is illegal of course...but of course there are individuals that do like to flout laws. Unfortunately you also might appeal to those that enjoy picking on unfortunate souls.

[Like himself, to a degree. Just a minor one though; he was primarily benevolent. The issue was his benevolence didn't always align with human morals.]

So, I would say this place is relatively safe. Do you have a place to stay? I can at least walk you there to make sure you don't catch a chill.

[To be honest, any place outside of her private chambers was unlivable in her eyes.]

What of those who keep the laws? [Do they just not exist or something? ]

Do I look like I have a place to stay?

[The lavender-haired girl huffs, crossing her arms for a moment. Hey, at least it doesn't look like she plans on stabbing him now.]

Alas...There's merely human.

[His tone was sympathetic; it was a difficult thing to deal with at times.]

Miss, that was a rhetorical question; if you had listened to the introductory hologram, you would know that all new arrivals have a small grace period were they may stay at the commons, with all the other new arrivals, before getting a job and finding your own housing.

[Now he sounded faintly condescending...which was his normal tone, honestly.]

Humans aren't powerless.

[She's heard enough tales of heroism about what mortal men and women have accomplished. As he continues on, she just...freezes. HOLD THE PHONE.]

...you expect me to stay in a place where just anyone can walk in? It may as well be a slaughterhouse.

[She had caught him on a tangent, otherwise he would have pointed out that humans were flawed and make mistakes. Instead though she seemed like she might now expire.]

A bit extreme of an assessment, hm? Though I suppose it does pose a risk. You may have to get a job straight away, or find someone to move in with.

[Kay's shoulder slump but he doesn't move more than that.]

You reaction, clothes and hair says differently. I can give you the direction of the nearest hospital if you want.

[It's a good thing that this golem doesn't appear to be hostile. However, appearances can be deceiving! Eleni isn't going to lower her guard that easily.]

I do not know what a 'hospital' is.

Whatever you're plotting, I shall not fall for it.

[She didn't say they weren't flawed! Every race is flawed in some way or another.]

I stand by what I said. [There's risk in everything. This is her life.]

What need have I of a job of all things? What do you take me for, a mercenary?

If I didn't know better, and perhaps I don't, I would wager you are the victim of one of those cartoonishly localized storm clouds that exist only to ruin someone's already terrible day.
