I took a trip to the Dream Docks a while back and got some memories of things from my world. It made me think deeply about if I was happy where I am. I mean like, in life. Here on Genessia, I’ve done things I never expected to do, like start businesses. I still fight monsters and stuff, which is what I have been in training to do, but business owner was never something I thought would be in the cards for me.

It’s so weird, because I know if I ever leave this place for good and go home, I won’t build anything for myself there like I have done here. I don’t find myself being upset by that fact, but instead happy and proud of what I have done here. I’ve never really taken the time to think about it and realize how drastically different these last few years would be different there than here.

So how do you all feel about your place in the world?

On a less heavy note, looks like we have Pokemon again. Hopefully I don’t come away with another rude Pokemon like last time. I went around and checked the Bounty Boards in the cities. There is stuff posted that’s relevant to what’s going on. So check them out if you get the chance.

[There are Pokemon out and about, and some of them Sun hasn’t seen before. So of course he’s going to head around and check things out. He has some of his old team with him, in case he needs them for some backup. But only Helioptile and Dewpider are out of their Pokeballs and following him around. No sense in letting the entire cast out to roam. They might cause more trouble than anything.

So Sun will be hitting up various places, the Pokemon Center, Cafes, Parks, ect. Feel free to bump into him anywhere.]

[A young girl appears on the screen. She has a tiny bug buzzing around her. She looks like she has been thinking about this for awhile.]

"I feel there are some good and bad points. Ever since I was brought here, I finally have opportunities to really know what it's like to be a child. Not have to stress about whether or not I'm standing properly, or how I speak to visiting nobles.

On the bad side, since I seemed to have stopped growing, I feel as though I can never really do anything here."

I-I don't mind being on another world, I... I don't care that much a-about my old house. Once my friends get here, when they're here, I'll be happy with that.

Wh-What's a pokemon?

[ It's Pokemon time which means no one will bat an eye at Weiss riding an Arcanine around town. Which means Sun is going to get a big dog lick to the face as soon as he turns around, with his tiny girlfriend somewhere on the back of the fur monster. He'll probably hear her voice before he sees her. ]

Fight me.

[Patchouli is in a well-lit yet enclosed space. There's something awfully large and stony visible behind her. Maybe she's stuck in a crevasse or something. (Nah, it's just Onix -- whose head is out of shot because, you know, big guy.)]

"Again"? Does this happen often?

[If it's heavier notes he wants....]

Very...mixed. One the one hand, there are so many lovely novelties, the people most of all. The obverse is the sheer, staggering quantity of death, both in and out of the world. Far more than I've ever known. So many wonderful souls, and so much hell surrounding them.

Little wonder Genessia wants to know all about "life" when there's so precious little of it. It makes one pine for a saint, though...well, none of the roads I've seen are named after saints.

[So depressing he should probably talk about pokemon instead]

Like the joyous return of these creatures. They're too good to be true, or at least, true for long.

Suppose I'll take a look at the board and make the most of it.

How I feel about my place in the world?

[God to this young one it seems like a really big question. She goes quiet, hands moving to pull the hood of her jacket over her head. Today she was wearing a hoodie with little sticking up black ears and two yellow eyes attached. She was using this moment to ponder things.]

Do you mean this world or the one back home?

I think this place is generally as open as you want it to be. Size and appearance don't seem to be a big factor in stopping someone from accomplishing what they want to here. I think as long as you have drive, you can do whatever you want.

A lot of my friends have appeared here. I probably wouldn't enjoy this place as much as I do if it wasn't for them.

Pokemon are the things that came out of the eggs that everyone got. They are little creatures that you can train and bond with. They will grow stronger and some will even change form.

[Well isn't she just fancy riding around on a big Pokemon. He pets the Arcanine after it licks his face.]

I don't know about that. I'm pretty tough. I don't like kicking the butt of the weak.

I'd say this is the third time they appeared in like, the last 4 years? There are a lot of us that have some left over from the last times that they were here. [They seemed to completely skip last year.]

Oh...

I-I put most of those outside because th-they looked like they should go in the pond.

[Not particularly trying to be cruel to them, they just didn't seem like they belonged in the house. And he got mostly water, bug and grass type stuff that looked like it belonged in the forest below.

There is a small smile that forms, though.]

A-And I got a puppy, too!

[ She scoffs and slides off the side of the Arcanine. ]

I wanted to train my new Pokemon with you, don't be rude. It's not their fault they've only just barely started.

[ Not Arcanine. She's just there for walks and fun and helping out with justice and whatnot. Weiss's current party is much lower level. ] Which new ones have you gotten so far?

I don't disagree with that. There have been a lot of tragedies to happen in this world. [And even in his own. But Sun likes to stay upbeat.] I think the people are possibly one of the bigger draws. I think it's easy to say there are a lot of people that I wouldn't have met if it wasn't for this world.

I do wonder what happens to the ones that don't stick around. I hope they get returned to their worlds so they can continue living their lives.

Both, really. While I'm happy with my place in the world back home, I think I'm happier with mine here. [Since he had managed to do so much.]

That would depend on what type of Pokemon they are. Their are quite a few different types. [Since knew he hadn't even seen half of them, though.]

You did? Let me see it.

Just these two guys so far. [He motions to Dewpider and Helioptile.] I have been searching for more while I'm out.

What about you?

O-Okay.

[And he wandered away from the device, to come back a bit later cradling an eevee.]

I-It was in my house, too. But... But it doesn't look like it g-goes in a pond.

Same, though not.. those two. I have a Panpour and... [ She looks behind her. The Slowpoke that refuses to stay in its ball.. it's still following along, slowly but surely, about twenty feet back now. ]

He'll catch up eventually.

Oh, that depends on what it changes into. That one has like..8 forms that it can take on. I don't know any other Pokemon like it.

[He looks over her shoulder to the Pokemon that she is referring to it. It doesn't look like it is moving.]

Uh. Are you sure that thing is still alive?

I think he stops to think about why you're looking at him if you look at him for too long. And he won't go in the Pokeball, and he keeps falling off of Joan... but he seems happy enough to just trail behind us.

[ Help her Sun she doesn't understand this thing. ]

Huh...

[He wasn't really arguing more than he was confused. Pokemon was a completely foreign thing to him.]

B-But it's small and fuzzy.

[He held it up where his face could nuzzle into the fur, and it seemed amenable enough. Bracken might not have known anything about them, and he might have been a beast hunter for part of his job, but he wasn't particularly cruel and was very nonthreatening around the critters.]

"I do believe you are right, but the hard part is finding my purpose here. I have more than just my age and height playing against me. However, I do feel that I am just getting a little closer to finding my purpose."

That regularly? Well, then, I take it there are a lot of people around this city who know more about these creatures, then. What can you tell me about them, though?

Yep. If they have been here for a long time they do. Well, they are creatures that you use to battle others of their kind. The more you battle with them, the stronger they get. And as they get stronger, some of them can evolve and change form and become something more power. Their are many different types with their own elements. Like ice, fire, water, fairy, ect.

They are intelligent creatures, too. They all have their own personalities and some of them have their own little quirks. You can look at them like a friend or companion, honestly.
