[Today, Kaguya is surprisingly not appearing from her apartment! Instead, she appears to be standing behind the counter of a cozy little shop, her Chimecho floating contentedly behind her.]

Well, now that the excitement has died down a bit, I suppose now is the perfect time to announce that my quaint little shop is open for business!

[She grabs the device and pans it over to show off the rest of the shop's interior, which is mostly a variety of bonsai, pots, and other supplies one would need to begin and groom their own miniature tree.]

This is 'Princess Kaguya's Bamboo Forest', located on Maple Avenue & 7th Street in Genessia. [Kaguya can't help but smirk a little. Yes, she may be slightly vain. There are actually a number of bamboo plants around as well, and peeking out from behind one is her Lurantis.]

Feel free to come in and browse, or join me for a cup of tea.

Those are some really small trees.

[He's never seen a bonsai before. Can you tell, miss?]

[ Ayame responds almost immediately while in her own tailor shop in the same city. The decor behind her resembles a Victorian style, contrasting the look of Kaguya's shop. With a gentle nod in greeting, Ayame spoke ]

Hello. What an interesting shop you have, ma'am. I would love to visit it today, and I certainly wouldn't decline a cup of tea. It has been some time since I've had the chance to sit down over a cup.

That's the point. Bonsai are miniature trees.

Oh, I see. How do you make them stop growing into normal sized trees?

[Kaguya is unfamiliar with the style, but her curiosity can wait for the time being. Ayame certainly has nice manners. She appreciates that.]

Why, thank you. I thought it would be nice to share my love of the hobby. I'll be here for at least a few more hours should you decide to visit, and the tea will be freshly brewed.

Very well. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your store in person. I shall be there at precisely 6 o'clock in the evening. Until then.

[ Ayame bows her head slightly before clicking the feed off. Since this was a public invitation, Ayame didn't feel the need to introduce herself just yet. She wanted to wait until they meet in person to do so, and once 6 PM hits, Ayame is there as promised. She wears a professional looking skirt-suit very well fitted to her mature figure, giving her an aura of sophistication to match her calm.

Upon getting inside, Ayame quietly appreciates the decor in person as if she's walking inside an art museum. Sensing Kaguya, Ayame was quick to divert her attention to her host. ]

Good evening. The place looks lovelier in person than on screen. I made the right decision to visit.

[ Ayame gives a small smile at Kaguya ]

Ayame Sasaki. I run a tailor shop nearby.

I assume that you tell bonsai plants and such?

[It was probably the most obvious question to ever ask.]

Also... is it okay to ask the benefits of having one?

[The view of the bonsai sure to hit a little close to home for her. Maybe a little too close.]

That's quiet the variety o' plants ye got there.

It's typically a long process involving trimming and using wires to guide the tree into the shape or style you desire.

And that's not harmful to the plant at all?

I'll be here.

[Of course she would. Although when Ayame arrives, Kaguya is playing on some form of handheld gaming system. Thankfully, her Chimecho companion is kind enough to chime as the woman walks in the door, giving her a moment to put a pause on whatever game she'd been playing.

Everything in the shop is organized rather neatly, although the bonsai aren't clumped together by type or anything. Obviously, she wants people to walk around and browse. She smiles at Ayame, giving her a brief bow.]

Hello there. I'm glad you like it.

[A pause.]

Kaguya Houraisan. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Sasaki.

Indeed.

[Very obvious.]

There are certainly no downsides to having one. They're appealing to look at, and plants do produce clean air.

[They're not something Kaguya picked up until she ended up on Earth herself.]

Yes, it took a little effort to get them all, but it was worth it in the end, I believe.

No real harm is done other than stunting its growth.

Ah, good then. I'm interested in getting one, they look really pretty and Stardust might like it.

Do they require any special care to maintain them? Would they star growing normally if I screw up?

The pleasure is mine, Miss Kaguya.

[ The bamboo, Kaguya's name, and even her appearance all reminds Ayame of the Tale Of The Bamboo Cutter. A book of that story was given to her for Christmas, which makes her more appreciative of the decor. Ayame didn't dwell much on it, though. This Kaguya could be the very one in the book, or just someone bearing the same name, either way this is Genessia. Weird is the norm here. Upon Kaguya's arrival, she would sense that Ayame isn't human despite her appearances. ]

Bonsai have been present in my life since I was young. My step-mother adored them. Though I've never partook in the hobby until my time here. An acquaintances gifted me one for Christmas, and I grew fond of it.

So what is it yer shop actually does? Do you sell 'em or do ye run a cafe?

[You are offering tea after all.]

Stardust? A friend of yours? Or perhaps one of those neat little creatures that showed up?

They do require water every now and then, sunlight, and the occasional trimming.

It's a bonsai shop, yes.

The tea is merely a courteous offer.

[She's indeed the very same Kaguya from the fairy tale...at least from her world. She actually finds it amusing that some people don't believe who she is.]

They're very pleasant to look at, and it's a decent enough way to pass some time. It's a lovely hobby.

[One she didn't pick up until...a few hundred years ago? She doesn't remember exactly when she started. The perks of being an immortal. Time isn't an issue for Kaguya.]

I figured there would be enough interest in them here, and it seems I wasn't mistaken.

Both, actually. He's my joltik and he's really small, like a hamster sized, yellow fuzzy spider who eats electricity.

That I can do. I can't drink tea but I'll visit your shop as soon as I can.

But are they a good thing for people who might not have much time to take care of them.

[He knew what the answer probably was however.]

[A beat.]

So ye call it 'bonsai' as well, 'eh? Mmm. I reckon somethings just stay the same I s'pose.

[A bit of melancholy in her voice.]

D'you mind if I drop by and 'ave a peek? I'll try not to trouble you none.

[That...doesn't sound all that cute to her, but to each their own.]

Very well. I'm sure I have something that will appeal to you or your companion.

Water, sunlight, and the occasional trimming. If you wanted to grow one, I wouldn't suggest it if you have little time.

But a pre-grown one requires only a fraction of the time.
