[The cyborg General appears on screen, cloak over his shoulders and looking very professional. As he lifts his head to begin, he's abruptly overcome by a bout of coughing. With a grunt of annoyance, he eventually recovers and starts speaking.]

Citizens of Nova City and beyond.

To those I have not yet met, let me introduce myself. I am General Grievous and I have recently been appointed as one of your Guardian's Deputies. I vow to uphold the safety of the city and its residents, most especially those who live in Nova City where I will be stationed.

Criminals and other trouble-makers will be dealt with swiftly within the boundaries of the laws and all innocents will be protected.

On another and side note, can anyone recommend medical droids or staff that have expertise in both biological and mechanical matters? Do not waste my time with anyone but the most expert in these fields.

Indeed. You went from abandoning ship and leaving your army behind to now vowing to protect your new home and the people you share it with. Impressive, to say the least.

[He was exceedingly protective of his own people back in his homeworld. While he is stuck in Genessia, he is treating the people here as some sort of replacement for those he's lost in the past - and do his duty to them as he sees fit.]

I have already had a discussion with this Jaune Arc. What is your connection or attachment to him?

As if you gave others much of a chance to get to know you.

As for Jaune, he has a fondness for knights. The most we talked about is the lightsaber... Speaking of, have you told anyone where you got yours yet, General?

There is very little time for casual conversation in wartime.

If you had any respect for your opponents, you would have left them with their owners.

I do not work like the Jedi. I will listen to both sides before drawing an important, world-destroying conclusion.

[Those words may seem to have come out of left-field but to Grievous they involve a past, very personal grudge against the Jedi as a whole. He may explain if prompted.]

And do not think that your civility now will make me cease keeping an eye on you and your kind, Kenobi. The warning to keep out of Nova City still stands.

And for the last time, General, you have no authority to set that rule. If I want to reside in Nova in peace, that is my choice. Not yours.

I would be under your protection as well. Do you intend to violate your oath over our mutual pasts?

[There's a frustrated growl before he answers.]

I have agreed to put the past behind - as long as you do not commit any further crimes here.

[He will admit to running from him, but only because his right to visit the city was being denied without just cause.]

I do not like your tone.

[Who would like his tone? There was a nice and long pause. Kenobi had a thought and he did not like it too much. But he wants the old life back, before the war.]

We can't live in peace if we're constantly shadowed by the Clone Wars and letting it define who we are.

Let us meet one last time as generals, talk things out as men, and, hopefully, leave as... friends.

I will never be a friend to the Jedi.

[That is a sticking point for him - but he has his reasons, both ones he's aware of and ones that were implanted by Sidious and Dooku. And yet... He's not dismissing the idea of a truce completely.]

However, we can meet to discuss an arrangement that will not put the city in danger and may be of mutual benefit. At least for the time that we are here.

[There is, but he likes the atmosphere of this one. He was introduced to its charm by the Everglade guardian. What a interesting...woman? Maybe? Oh well. It's not his business.

Obi-wan orders himself his second cup of tea while he awaits Grievious's arrival.]

[To Grievous, Obi-Wan was the one major problem within any of the cities. He hated the Jedi - as a group - and with good reason. They had sided with his enemies and ruined his people - without bothering to find out all of the facts first. He thought of all the Jedi as arrogant and narrow-minded - although that was rather hypocritical. But as he'd said to others, with no war here things were different and he would have to apply a different strategy - one that included getting along with a Jedi. He was soon at the cafe, looking around for his old foe.]

I have some skill in engineering and medicine. The offer I made last time still stands. You can find me at the Aster Technologies building; ask for chaos.

[He hadn't been willing to accept the help before but does recall it. Now that he's sorted out some other things here and settled in somewhat he believed it time to seek out that medical attention. He'd had a specialized droid aiding him in the past and he knew he would one day need some maintenance; maybe even see to that cough, which if anything was getting worse.]

Are you available now?

[Once Obi-wan saw Grievous, there was a slight hesitation, but whistled out to get his attention. Once he had it, he beckoned him, using the Force to move a chair out for Grievous.]

Thank you for meeting with me, General. Is there anything you want before we begin?

[He gives another dismissive wave at the offer.]

I do not need anything.

[There's a glance at the chair and a brief hesitation of his own before he does sit down. It looks a little awkward with those long limbs.]

We should get straight down to the business at hand.

I am, and will be all day. Come whenever you like, and my assistant will show you to my office.
