[The last thing Futaba remembered was sleeping after hearing the news. The leader of the Phantom Thieves committed suicide? Did that mean that they had succeeded in their plan? Well, it was hard to tell upon waking up in some strange pod, surrounded by water. There wasn't much for sound, but there were the soft ripples on the shallow pool around her. Sitting up, she felt something fall onto her lap.

A necklace within the box, a smart phone, a key, and a pamphlet..

She honestly didn't know what to think right now. Hearing the news was such a shock, so maybe she was still dreaming? There was a smart phone, but it wasn't the model that she owned. Well, she had no idea where hers went, but she'd eventually get to the new one in her possession. At least her laptop was lying on the side of her. She tried to take a quick glance around, almost expecting to see shadows around.]

Is this... a Palace...? But wait.... I don't recall slipping into a Palace.. [Looking down to her clothing, she was still wearing her pjs from last night.] Maybe I haven't been detected yet? It's oddly peaceful here.... Is this a safe room?

[Rather than continue to question things she had no definite answers to, she decided to look at the pamphlet, hoping there was a map in there. Instead she found instructions on how to work a smart phone.]

... Boring. Wait, whats this about this necklace? Maybe this is a Key Item? I'll hold onto it for now. [Looking onward to find the red bills] Wait, this is a Palace right? Where is everyone else? [Suddenly it's clicked that she's the only one here right now and she's sort of freaking out.] J-Joker?! Panther! Mona?!

... Skull?
......... Inari?

[While she could call for the others, she had a feeling that they'd get the same response. Silence.]

...Okay, Futaba... Calm down and take a deep breath. Let's find out where exactly we are and who's Palace this is...

[She's just hoping she can do this without Akira being here with her. She's faced random strangers before, but it was always with Akira with her. Taking her belongings with her (or so she's assuming), she headed out to try to find some answers. Please don't mind if she acts odd upon stumbling on another person.

[Given the current situation, David has had police officers patrolling the perimeter of the Bay to help keep any invading creatures from moving in and attacking anyone that comes out. He's been making regular trips there himself to make sure that anyone that might arrive during this situation would be properly taken care of.

On this trip through, he comes around the young girl. So the Spirits weren't going to stop bringing people here, even while this situation was going on.]

Hey there. [He says giving the girl a wave. She looks a bit tense at the moment and he doesn't want to freak her out.]

[Okay... So this some weird cognition shit going on right now; Then again, Palaces took many forms and from what she could tell, this Palace was HUGGEE. She jumped slightly to the sound of someone calling out to her; good thing she had a good grasp on her laptop. Not many people were that coherent in the Metaverse unless their cognition had something to do with it or they were a Phantom Thief themselves (or a stranger brought in).

After the initial jolt, she found herself hoping it was someone she knew, but instead she had no recollation of who this could be. Just... remember your training, Futaba. Brace yourself.]

U-Uhm.. Hi...

[She glanced down towards her hands, but her outfit didn't change. Apparently she was still not viewed as an intruder yet at the very least. Maybe she wouldn't have to worry about fighting back?]

[This all felt similar to home, when everything went down, except instead of people from the reserve course it was spirits invading. Because of that Chiaki for once had no idea what to do or where to go. She wasn't confident that home was exactly safe but she had no idea where to go in general.

Instead she found herself wondering near the Bay as she spotted a not so familiar face.]

Excuse me.... You shouldn't stand around like that.

[Where was Akira when you need him? Her clothing hadn't changed just yet, so at least she didn't seem to be hostile, but it didn't stop Futaba from trying to stay cautious.]

I suppose you're right... There may be shadows around....

I know this all probably feels weird, but if you listened to the hologram, you have an idea of where you are. However, we have a situation going on right now. There are creatures inside the cities and they are attacking people. They are also tampering with regular people and making them attack people as well.

My name is David Haller and I'm Guardian of the city you are in right now. I'm here to help you get somewhere safe.

[She just assumed the hologram was all part of the Palace, but maybe she needs to rethink her stance on what she knows so far. Admittedly it wasn't much and she did read about the Guardians of the cities... If that wasn't enough, she still hadn't changed into her skin tight Metaverse outfit, so it might be in her best interest to listen to him...

Okay, Futaba... It was one person and he was trying to help her out. She could manage talking to a stranger if it meant that it would protect her here, right?]

Creatures.... Are these creatures wearing some sort of masks and have a weird shadowy look to them?

[She had to be sure, but the finger wiggle accompanied with the shadowy look was unnecessary flair that she threw in there.

Oh right... Maybe she should introduce herself in return..?]

I'm... F-Futaba Sakura. Any information about what's going on in this Pal-- place would be appreciated.

[Better than in the middle of all of this where the spirits can come at any point.]

[Was there really a better choice? No. Futaba with follow the girl, closely when there's more of a crowd, don't mind her.]

So what exactly is going on here?

I don't know exactly. But I do know something seems to have happened to the barrier and now we have... spirit things. They look terrifying.

[She walked, stopping just before they turned the corner.]

Stop for a moment....One of the spirits is close by.

Spirit.. things..?

[With her stopping randomly, she nearly ran into her, but went to look at what was going on.]

Wait what? [Still no change though... Under her breath..] Necronomicon, are you there?

Kind of like ghosts you find in video games. Ones that can hurt you, though from what I heard they drain you of emotion.

[Chiaki stepped to the side to hide for the moment, making sure that it had gone past before stepping out.]

If I think of this like a video game, finding the safe area should be easy.

They drain you of emotion? [Just what kind of shadow were these things? And what could be the cause of it?] Well, a safe room would be good. I guess it's too dangerous to loo around freely then.

[ The bay is his current interest. It was the entry point in, after all. Surely there would eventually be a way out? Having been here a while, while not publicly, it's obvious no one around here has figured the puzzle but he's sure none of them are thinking about it the same way he would. Why shouldn't he be able to solve it? That would be another claim to fame as a great detective.

Now seemed a good as time as any. He has been standing just outside but close enough to use it as a bit of cover. There's a mess of spirits around after that "earthquake" but the bay area seems to be least crowded. Safer. Out of the way. They're aiming for the highly populated areas first. If one could just-

...Did Futaba Sakura just walk past him? One of the more useful Phantom Thieves. He doesn't think he's seen her on her lonesome before. That's lucky. ]

Ah. Oracle? [ Code-names for an unknown location, yes? ]

[Futaba was just so distracted with everything else that she missed Akechi standing near the Bay. It wasn't until she heard her code name that she stopped and went to see who said it. She was sort of hoping that it was one of her friends, but instead it was the one person that she didn't want to see.

How was she going to play this though? For all she knew, he thought that Akira was dead. Hearing the news shook her up a little, but she knew he wouldn't "commit suicide". Akira was the kind of guy who was quiet, but once he made his mind up, he was stubborn and wouldn't give up so easily.

Though she wasn't exactly faking her discomfort here, she decided to keep her fake mask on, so to speak. He was the one who sold them out, but she'd have no idea otherwise that it was him, right? As much as she hated the idea of even being "friendly" with him...]

Wait, Crow? You're here too? Is... everyone else here too?

[Seth is trying to get a handle on the situation. He wants to help, it's his purpose to help people but he's never had to do something like this. He's already starting to feel the weight of the shadows on his shoulders, despite the fact that he has yet to touch one of them.

His long legs take him down his path, trying to help those wandering through the city to get to the evacuation centers. That's when he spots the young girl.

He runs over to her, his palm pushing his white hair from his face as he comes to a stop. He exhales a heavy breath and looks a little disheveled. His button down shirt is pulled from the waist of his paints and his vent is unbuttoned. Seth doesn't usually look this messy.]

Hey. You shouldn't be on the streets. Do you know where the shelters are? You should get there.

Apparently. I've not experienced it personally, though.

[And it doesn't seem to affect the people who are native here as far as she could see anyway.]

Follow me, I think it's safe to go now. [With that she starts to walk.]

[She'll follow her]

Oh uhm... I'm... Futaba. Futaba Sakura.

[Having someone run over her in such a hurry made her put her guard up. If this was possibly the Metaverse, it meant that this person might be a Shadow coming to attack her, but her clothing wasn't changing. Once she noticed how disheveled and exhausted he was, she realized he might not be a threat. His words after make her reconsider, but keep her guard up nonetheless.]

Shelters? Do you mean like a safe room or something?

[Seth nods his head quickly, golden pale eyes flicking around them to make sure that there aren’t any other shadows nearby. He can feel them but seeing them is harder. Seth doesn’t know why. It’s frustrating and it’s starting to wear at his nerves.]

Yes. They’re area’s shielded from these spirits. I can lead you there.

[He doesn’t want to leave this girl alone on the streets, more so if she doesn’t know her way.]

Can you fight?

[It’s an important question.]

T-Thank you.

[Part of her wants to say yes, but truth be told, without her Persona, she really couldn't? Even then she was more useful as a navigator and hacker than a fighter.... She was more support than anything... So as much as it bugs her...]

Uhm.. Well... Sort of...? But not really.... Unless I can support others with my hacking....

[She turned the corner, stopping for a moment to look left and right before she carried on.]

It's nice to meet you, Futaba. No, the creatures aren't wearing any weird masks or anything. We still aren't sure exactly what they are, but you don't want to let them get close enough to you to touch you.

I can feel you in more on this place once we have gotten you to safety. [He holds his hand out for her.]

[Seth looks sideways at her, his eyebrows arched on his forehead. After a second he hums thoughtfully.]

Possibly but even then you’d be more helpful in a bunker. My understanding of hackers is that they’re good support behind the scenes. [There isn’t anything wrong with that, Seth’s usually more of a support fighter but he’s doing what he can to help people now.]

Let’s go. Maybe you can help when you get there.

[He nods in the direction that they need to go, seeing that its littered with the daunting shadows. A sigh falls from Seth’s lips as he holds out his palm towards the creatures. Golden light dances at his fingertips as a thin thread lashes out and snakes its way through the dark creatures.]

Let’s go.

Ah, I see... So it's not a Shadow, more than likely...

[That seemed fair at least. She hesitantly accepted his hand, hoping that he could fill her in more as they went]

Okay. Lead the way.

I suppose... I don't really have my computers here... [Glancing down for a moment to her hand] Well, I guess I have my laptop.

Okay. I'll assess the situation as I get more information. I hope that I'll eventually be able to help in my own way.
