[She woke with a start from a nightmare of dragonflame... to find herself half-frozen in some kind of pod in the middle of an ankle-deep lake. Well... ankle deep on, say, a Hyur or Mi'qote. On her tiny Lalafell frame, it was almost knee deep. Right. First order of business, get out of the water. That large doorway over there looks promising enough.]
[Once she managed to reach her chosen destination, Aeslyn took a moment to take stock of herself. She had absentmindedly carried the package she'd been holding when she awoke, so she opened that now - some kind of currency, a number of pamphlets that seemed to describe the city she found herself in along with others that were apparently connected to it, and a device of some kind. It looked something like the view screens on ancient Allagan machina, but it was far too simple in design to be their work. Surely one of these brochures - ah, yes. It takes her a while to eke out what the phone does and how to make it work, but once she does...]
What in the name of Hydaelyn is this place, and how did I get here? I suppose that's the first question everyone asks. The brochures leave something to be desired - particularly details on the invasion of these hideous, hulking husks. Perhaps someone would please explain the pertinent points?
