Lea didn't blame Demyx for being overwhelmed; he'd gone through the same process himself upon learning how thoroughly they'd all been played. And if he was being honest with himself, it was part of his motivation for joining Sora and his friends; a chance to strike back at the ones who'd hurt and used him, who'd cost him ten years of his life, who'd twisted and manipulated him and the other Organization members for so long. Xehanort and his crew had a lot to answer for, and Lea had a feeling he was only seeing the tip of the iceberg regarding their awfulness.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Xion reaching for his hand, only to abort the action halfway. The slightest hint of a smile touched his lips and he reached out to rest a hand on her shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze to know her gesture and her presence were appreciated before turning his full attention back to Demyx.

"Yeah," Lea frowned. "I mean, I never really liked Xigbar, but I never suspected anything like this. But him and Xemnas gloating about their plan to Sora was how it came out in the first place; can't get much more direct than that."

"It's what we all believed," he said. "Even people outside the Organization didn't really see any real reason to doubt it. I didn't believe it myself, at first, but it makes so many things make more sense in hindsight." Why being around Roxas had made him feel like he had a heart. Why lying to him was so hard. Why he'd flung himself headlong into helping Sora, despite knowing the consequences. There was something there all along...

"Other than the fact that we're gonna make sure Xehanort and his new cronies answer for all this? Yeah, that's it," Lea said. "I wouldn't put it past him to have more unpleasant surprises up his sleeve, but unless he turns out to be somebody in the Organization's long-lost father or something, I doubt anything could top that for personal reasons to want to kick his ass into next Tuesday."

"And what sucks even more is that he's not around to be a convenient target," Lea said. "I mean, him showing up here is the last thing I want, since as it stands there's no way we could face him and hope to win, but at the same time, every time I think about it part of me wishes I had him within punching range, you know? He destroyed peoples lives, tried to destroy whole worlds, all for some insane dream of power. If there's anybody who deserves a Firaga to the face, it's him."
