What: Monsterstein Bounty
When: August 28
Where: Everglade

[ Mariko took to bounty hunting again after being injured in her last one. Being hit with a barrage of gunshots was not even the worst part of that, but having to fight brawny robots was. Which was also the best part. The thrill of combat is addicting, and she took this job just for that. Though the large sum that's promised at the end of it is quite alluring as well. After all she's still struggling to make it to fame.
Mariko hangs by a town centre, leaning against a podium of a statue in the middle of a seemingly abandoned roundabout in the outskirts of Everglade, waiting for the right time to move. She was informed that there would be others, so she might as well wait for them too. The target is not one to be underestimated after all. Wearing what looks like casual clothes, with a leather jacket and a pair of boots and jeans, Mariko would look pretty normal if not for the alien-looking rifle magnetized to her back. Despite having headphones on, Mariko notices when someone arrives, immediately glancing their way with a small wave. ]
Hey. Welcome to the even less scenic part of town.
[ Mariko pushes herself forward from the little wall she's leaning on, cracking her fingers clad in fingerless shooting gloves. ]

Hallo, I'm The Doctor.
[Needless to say, he is intrigued on what this creature roaming around looks like; even if Ten feels sorry for the creature because the creature didn't choose it's existence.
Of course, he spots a barrel hole on the back of her back; even if it's even alien looking to him - still looks like a gun]
First things first. You're hiding that better because if we come across this creature and you're wearing that - you're already telling this creature that you're going to kill it.
This creature did not choose its existence and is probably scared to death.
[And thus the attacks; plus being part werewolf]
Let's try talk first. And if need be we can set up a trap but we're not shooting it. You're only going to make it more angry than it already is.
Understand?

"Hi! Are you the guys who are gonna fight the monster?"
Tousled blonde hair, armed with a sword and shield on his back, as well as whatever his pockets held---the boy didn't look any more than ten. He was practically vibrating with excitement---this was what he'd been doing back home, after all.
"My name's Link!"

It's not right either that those people were attacked but killing the killer isn't right either.
"Why?"

"Sooo, should we tie this guy up first, or what do you think?"
no subject
"Understand this - if the both of you can't murder the creature you're only going to put more people in danger. Let us give the creature a chance."

When she feels Link turn to look at her, Mariko returns the look with her usual unimpressed expression. ]
You two are new to this world, aren't you?
[ Mariko comments, pointing at the two of them. Like many others, she's been in Genessia long enough to tell who is new and who isn't just from the way they behave. ]
Nobody is tying up anyone. We're here to do Everglade a favor by working as a team... or try to. Luckily for the good doctor here, there is some room for talking. Just not with the creature. The bounty is set in taking down this creature, but I doubt this shit would stop if we just half-ass it and do just that. So I'm changing up the plan a little.
[ Mariko crosses her arms, facing the two people she's going to be working with. Everglade runs on fear, so the necromancer isn't the target for the bounty, just to keep that fear alive and well within the city. But Mariko isn't up for that, and thinks she should end it at the source. ]
I don't know if any of you are familiar with necromancy, but this creature can't feel or think for itself. It's more of a puppet. The main culprit, who should be behind bars, is the one who brought this entity to life. Or entities, rather. I just heard from the office that apparently the damn thing isn't alone anymore, and probably have been multiplying like Catholic rabbits at the graveyards. Basically, we find the necromancing son of a bitch and put a stop to this. Are you two still game for it or no? It's not too late to back out.
[ Especially when the three of them are on different pages ]

[Link had looked slightly disappointed he wouldn't be allowed to hog-tie the monster-loving Doctor, but he brightened as soon as he understood that there was more to the job than a single monster.]
Oh--they're like redeads.
I dunno what a necromancer is, but, if you two wanna take him out, I can get rid of the monsters that he'll send after you while you're going after him.

You two go after the creature... I'll go talk to our 'Dr. Frankestien'.
[Where as Ten will and from that talk Ten can't disagree that such practices that the scientist took part in; aka bring a necromancy creature to life isn't against Everglade and the scientist will also not have wanted to have lost control of the creature and after a long rambling that this person could be genius, expect Ten is in the room and they did what they did because they could!
Ten will be making visits on and off to see how things are going.]

[Link's eyes flickered with surprise and puzzlement.]

I don't know his name. It's from a book.
no subject
...what do you mean? There's a book about him? ...but, you just said his name, how can you not know it?
[This is why children should not be raised by trees and other children.]

[He's not getting stuck in this loop. At least not now and begins to walk off]

Whatever, Mister.
