[The feed turns on to reveal a rather concerned looking girl with silver hair that glimmers in the lights of the bay. That's right. Silver. Not white, nor gray. She prods at the phone for a moment, unsure as to whether or not it's actually working. Kyrie is not well-versed in technology.]

Vellsha? Aethelia? Are you there?

[A pause as she ponders who else to call for. There's a slightly, almost exasperated sigh before she finally calls out the next two names.]

Fesìr? Captain Idell? I think I'm lost...

[That's an understatement. She's never heard of this place, and she hasn't received any word from Silennia either. This in particular worries the poor priestess.]

...anyone? Hello?

...ah, you must be new here. You're in Genessia. No one knows how we got here either, but it's at least very livable.

Yeah. Good housing, food, places to visit and things to do, people hold jobs... you can start your own business if you stay employed long enough!

I'm a healer. My job is wherever there are injured or ill people.

[It's the truth. She has no need for a business!]

[ She caught the implication that Kyrie doesn't take being paid for healing, and Konoka was the same way. ]

But let it be said that you still need a job if you want a place to stay! Trust me on this.

[That doesn't mean Kyrie doesn't accept donations! She just never asks for anything in return.]

There are never enough healers. [She smiles faintly.]

I think many of us with healing abilities have banded together in times of need. If you're interested in that, I can get you some contact information!

[The priestess nods. No matter what, there is never a shortage in people who need their skills.]

Hm...I suppose that could be useful.

[Fai appeared on the feed with a small smile.]

I admit all the names you mentioned are not ones I have heard around here sadly. I assume they are people from your world.

Do you need to follow a certain god to join?

This isn't really something I've dealt with before!

[Or so she thinks, anyway. She's got this odd feeling of deja vu.]

[Kyrie nods in confirmation.]

Yes, they're the group I've been traveling with.

Well no. This isn't a religious organization. I hope that's fine?

Ah, that's a relief. Kyrie's soul already belongs to Silennia.

[She closes her eyes with a smile and nod of her head.]

Is that your name?

[ Konoka picked up on the earlier correction, so its failure here was stark. ]

Well, I'm Konoka Konoe. Nice to meet you!

[A blush spreads across the priestess's cheeks as she realizes she slipped up.]

O-oh! Yes...my name is Kyrie Riven.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Konoe.

[ She gave a polite giggle. ]

So, you're a priestess where you come from?

[She nods, before smiling.]

Yes, I am a priestess of the moon goddess, Silennia.

I see! I don't think the priestesses from my world had such divine power. I imagine if I was one, my family would have set me up with Amaterasu.

[ The gods didn't exist in her world, at least, not as far as she knew or strictly imagined. But magic existing kept plenty of possibilities and that meant Kyrie might very well be a chosen priestess serving a real goddess. ]

They aren't names I heard as I mentioned, but to doubly make sure, perhaps checking the device we are currently using to talk to one another.

[He knew there was a way to check anyway by checking names and such.]

Amaterasu?

[Of course she's curious. She knows the gods exist or in some cases, existed in her world, but she knows nothing of this world or others.]

...how do I do that?

[Blink. She's pretty clueless.]

I don't know much about these...things. [She taps on the screen.]

[ Well, she was wary about how the gods might be portrayed to her world, but... ]

If folklore were a bit more real, then she would be the Goddess of the Sun. My country has numerous tales about the various gods... they don't exist as we imagined them, but given the existence of magic I wonder if real people performed some amazing miracles back then?

[She sighs, looking a little dejected. At least she's not completely freaking out. On the outside.]

Ah. Coronis...is the God of the Sun in my world.

[There was a bit of hesitance there. There's more to that story, but Kyrie is not willing to touch on that, at least for the time being.]

There's also Lethe, the Goddess of Silence. Many of the gods have been forgotten, though.

[ Konoka completely ignored Coronis. He sounds like a jerk anyway. ]

...what's she like?

That's true for a lot of people.

And sure, go ahead. I can't guarantee that they're here, but even if they're not, it'll give me an idea of who I need to look out for.

She's quiet?

[No, she doesn't know much about Lethe.]

[ Looks like she doesn't know. ]

In any case, have you decided on a place to stay? Well, you'll need to get a job first to avoid it, but I know at least one spot where you can stay until you can afford your own place.

Well, there is a way to bring up a list of names. I mean if you want to contact just one person it's how you do it. Look at your phone, there should be the word contacts. That's how you check.

[She's never even met any of them in person. She's only heard Silennia's voice.]

Not yet. I should...probably see what's available out there first.

[Kyrie nods.]

Vel dresses in red and black, big red scarf, and she's usually sick. Aethelia has green hair, carries a large sword, and has an accent.

[These descriptions are kind of vague, but at least she's trying!]

Fesir is...dark, and kind of a jerk, but he's actually really nice. Idell is kind of like a pirate and she wears an eyepatch!

Oh. S-sorry, I've never had one of these before.

[Lea makes note of the descriptions, though something in particular catches his attention.]

...'Fraid that'd not ringing any bells, sorry. Though, how sick is your friend Vel? Because if she was very sick and she was here, she might have been taken to the hospital.

It's fine. I never did before, but it certainly is a learning experience.

It varies from day to day. Some days she's fine, others she's incredibly ill.

[A sigh.]

I've been unable to cure whatever her affliction may be.

[Lea nods his understanding.]

That's rough. I know how hard it is, not being able to help a friend when they need you.

In any case, I haven't seen anybody matching those descriptions, but you might want to ask about Vel at the hospital, just to be sure, once you've had enough time to shake out the cobwebs; arriving here tends to leave you a bit fuzzy-headed so probably best to give that time to wear off before you go looking for anyone.

In the mean time, I'm sure you probably have other questions. The greeting hologram and the brochures aren't the most informative things out there.

[There are certainly a number of questions swirling around in her poor little head. One step at a time, though. She hadn't received any word from her Goddess yet, so she was either isolated from Her or she was meant to be here. At least that's what Kyrie hoped.]

Ah...where is the hospital?

[That's a start, at least.]

The corner of Elder Avenue and 19th street; it's marked on the map of the city that's in the brochures. It's not too hard to find. The city's basically a grid with the streets and avenues in numerical and alphabetical order, respectively; once you get that memorized, it's pretty easy to find your way around.

[The priestess mulls that over for a moment, and she definitely plans on wandering right back over to snag one of those brochures he mentioned. It should come in handy.]

No problem. I can also point you to the housing for new arrivals, if you need it. It's nothing spectacular, but it's a roof over your head and a safe place to stay til you can get settled.

That's alright. After I visit the hospital, I want to scope out the city a little to get familiar with it.
