One day, Regis was here enjoying a peaceful evening at his home and next he was gone. Death had claimed him once more. He had returned to nothingness into the bleak afterlife only to be reawakened yet again. Regis didn't think he would be returned to this land, back to Genessia. He thought his days were done and prophecy fulfilled. Fate had been exceeding cruel towards him, so never once did he think a miracle would occur.
Despite being returned in a rather dishelved state slightly drenched thanks the pier and blood upon his person, Regis only has one person on his mind.

Do I dare ask if my son is here? [ The last he seen of Noctis, the young man was passed out upon the sofa prior to his disappearance.] His name is Noctis.
Noctis Lucis Caelum.
[His heart will ache if his son is no longer here in this world but Regis is hopeful.]
In turn, is Weiss Schnee still present? If so, I request an audience with her. It's been quite a long time since last paid her a visit.

I...haven't met your son, so I don't know if he's here. As for Weiss...she recently stepped down from her Guardian position in Nova City, but I think she's still around.

As for Nova City's Guardians, Weiss has assigned two of her deputies to take her place until the next election. I think their names were Mercury and Garrus. I haven't met either of them, so I don't know what they're like...

I cannot say I remember, Liora. My entire being ceased to exist and my soul surrendered. Death itself is bleak but also very freeing.
[Regis frowns somewhat as Liora speaks regarding Weiss' fate. While the young woman deserves a long break from the public eye, he doesn't trust another to take her place. He must speak with her and soon. Maybe he can unearth the truth behind all this.]
Mercury and Garrus, hm? I may have to seek them out.

[Somehow she doesn't believe it. She can only imagine how bleak it is, to die from fatal battle wounds, or from the killer plague, which she was thankful to not be around for. She imagines the pain fading away along with one's life...and then suddenly she can see Regis's point. But it would still go against the very purpose of her clan, which was to survive anything and everything that came at them, no matter how bleak the odds may be.]
[She bows her head at his plan.]

[He cannot help but grin now. It seems he's truly been returned to this realm after all.]
Goodness, I failed to introduce you two? Forgive me for that slight error. You shall meet my son once I've found him. Noctis has yet to contact me.

A shame. Noctis is quite a stalwart young man even if a little "loose-lipped" at times and Weiss is a charming woman with the gentlest of smiles.
[He may or may not have taken Weiss metaphorically under his wing before. Regis always wished he had a daughter. His wife, Aulea said she wanted a "little girl" after Noct but her life was taken from her during labor. He could've remarried but Regis chosen not to.
After all, he still wears his wedding band.]
May I ask what has transpired recently? It seems much has changed.

[Regis doesn't wish to explain death any further than that. He's still trying to shake the thought out of his mind even now. Having died twice was an experience he wishes not to have again. It's an awful feeling, one that fills him with such emptiness.

I have missed many. It seems that my life here in Genessia was much more fulfilling than I had previously thought.

[Regis cannot help but roll his eyes some at this sleepy prince. Much like last time, he must stir Noctis awake. While it's almost too dark for him to see him, Regis can just tell by the groggy voice that's his dear son.]

[His eyes narrows somewhat once he sees the dismal state of his son's room. This is absolutely dreadful, Noct! Why do you have clothes scattered everywhere like some derelict? Regis frowns deeply.]

[Her smile is truly infectious. The little princess still has that cheerful gleam about her. Regis is thankful for that. Anastasia always seems so melancholy and lonesome usually.]

[Some would argue that the Crystal itself is actually a "dark crystal" a "void crystal" that bestows the Kingdom of Lucis with light. The concept of dark and light magic is something somewhat foreign to Eos. However, Regis assumes that Liora means something along the lines of White Magic as opposed to light.]
I cannot heal wounds or cleanse the sick but the magic I wield can both be used for offense and defending.

I would imagine so...but that also means there isn't anyone here who can really help me...
I'm a Light dragon, so I should be able to wield Light-based magic. But for some reason, I just can't control it. I can gather it, but I can't seem to push it beyond my talons. I don't know if I'm trying too hard, or if there's some sort of mental block...or maybe I'm just too young? I just don't know. I wish I could just give up on it, but without it, I may never be able to stop Erebus...
I can heal wounds, and I can cast neutral offensive magic...which makes it even more puzzling for me. If I can do that, then why can't I control the Light? It just doesn't make any sense...

[ Weiss actually looked surprised when she saw Regis again. And then part of her was just a little ashamed, because she was sure that he would be a little.. disappointed with where she was now. Even if she thought it was the better decision and almost everyone had been supportive, it still wasn't a decision she was used to being able to make. ]

Well, let's see... I had a birthday last March. I am supposed to be 14 years old now, but... It's complicated.
[Complications of foreign spirit magic and stuff. Any hint is the fact she hasn't grown an inch.]
There was another breach in the barrier. I did my part in defending a path to safe houses set up by Mr. Haller.
I got possessed by a magic carnival and met some nice men. One of them, named Soma, gave me this magic circlet that lets me safely move around in the summer.
[Because the other one proclaimed his love influenced by that magic carnival, she won't mention him.]
What else...? Oh, I have been practicing singing and dancing. It's just something to do. And I have more Pokémon friends to play with and protect me.

That was annoying as hell if I have to be honest. There was a carnival thing called Cirque du Vrai which if you ever ask anyone will never talk about it.
There was also apparently giant monsters at one point. Who knew, right?
We also had what is this worlds version of the Olympic's which was... certainly interesting.
I also believe that people swapped bodies for a day at one point. I remember that because I spoke to a couple that happened to. [Yes she has pointed out as much as she could recall at least. That was until one second before talking again that she realized.]
The latest was the whole Fayren suddenly becoming Wonderland, people shrinking or growing, that kind of deal.

since regis had disappeared, and only a wisp of prompto or ignis and... even luna— had even been seen in this awful place, noct had spiraled into something of a downward descent. clouded by the terrible thoughts of failing everyone he ever held dear, he retreated into something of a fetal position where he laid, his voice strained. )
I'm so sick of these dreams... ( there was once a time where dreams brought solace, but now lately... ) Just stop it, let me sleep. No one... no one's ever coming back, I just— ( the wince he makes is nearly audible. )

[ And yes, if anyone did know what lead her to make that decision, they would probably have a lot of righteous anger and plight really would be the right word. She knows Sun does, and he's the only one who actually knows everything outside of her brother, another inside perspective. But it took more than three years for Weiss to even open up to Sun about it. Family matters are difficult. ]

with a pained sigh, it's obvious that he's not going to get any more sleep this day. he should have known as much before he passed out really. shifting himself on the couch, his legs now hang over the side as he presses a hand into his forehead.
