When the video comes alive, it seems fairly clear that it's some kind of mistake. The man holding the device is only half in frame, his expression somewhere between serious and distressed, though he says nothing. The collar of his black leather-looking top is visible at the bottom of the screen, and anyone watching can hear the sound of him walking through water - still in the bay, then, as the dim lighting shadowing his face confirms.

To say that the situation was confusing for Black Bolt would be a vast understatement. He had been sent to Earth, fine, but this didn't seem to be the same place, and waking up inside of some kind of pod with new belongings and information on his chest had been worrying to say the least. He didn't like the idea that he had been unconscious, that someone had apparently been with him while he was. Add to that the fact that he couldn't find an obvious way to communicate, and he was having a pretty bad day.

After a few moments of figuring it out, he clicked the video off. He didn't know who was here, anyway. Perhaps keeping a low profile until he found out where he was, and where his family was, would be better.

[Well. That was weird. The video had been brief, but that was the Bay, right? Someone in potentially leather didn't seem very happy to be there. Fair enough, he guessed. But if that was enough to disorient them...]

[Glenn responded with a video of his own, with a hopefully reassuring smile.]

Um, hey. This is all kind of disorienting, I know. Are you okay? I know you closed out the video but... just figured I'd try to help.

Black Bolt takes a moment to study the man in the video response. Human, probably - or at least not obviously Inhuman. He didn't know him, but that didn't mean anything to him here; He had originally assumed that he was still on Earth, but watching the hologram message and reading a little of the information he was given had told him a different story. Somehow, that made it even stranger.

He clicked the video response on, after a moment. Again, the image was somewhat crooked, but this time it was because he was trying to sign one-handed. Why and how was I brought to this place? Who are you? It wouldn't have been terribly enlightening for a stranger even if he'd used both hands, since his sign language was his own invention - his and Medusa's. The thought brought a brief expression of hurt to his face. He didn't have a way to look for her. That.. was difficult to bear.

[Glenn watched him for a minute before he realized what he was trying to do. He didn't know enough sign language to know it was different, but he could get that he was trying to communicate with it.]

Okay. I'm going to stop you there, because I don't know sign language. Sorry. Let me think, okay? There's an option on your phone that should let you text. [He gave him the instructions, briefly. He'd used the text posts a few times while he or Maggie had been out, luckily.] I'm Glenn by the way. I ended up here just like you did, I'm just passing on some help I got when I got here a couple days back.

[Today is the second time Scott drops his phone after seeing a post on the network. First Medusa and now Black Bolt, go figure. Scott would recognize him everywhere, even without his cowl.

She didn't know him so chances are that Black Bolt wouldn't know him either, and thus, that lessens the chances of Black Bolt trying to kill him on the spot if they meet in person. There's also a chance that Scott is mistaken about this man's identity. Only one way to know]

...King Black Bolt?

[ Being the nosy person she is, Neo noticed that this guy could sign in someone else's video, but what he's using isn't entirely making sense to her. At least there's someone else who could sign besides Jaune, even if it isn't the same. Wearing a pair of gloves, Neo starts to sign herself, but a voice follows after the words she forms with her fingers.

"You'll need to use the sign language known here, or text. Not everyone is on their A-game here."

People really need to diversify. ]

Black Bolt waited patiently, listening to Glenn's explanation, before he switched over to the texting program. "Thank you," he typed simply. He kept his words simple - he wasn't accustomed to writing them out, and it felt strange. "I am Black Bolt."

[Medusa isn't sure how she missed the message when it came through, or why she happened to look at the network again before making way to her potential, temporary quarters from the park she had found. But there was a still preview, and there wasn't a thing in the world that could keep her from recognizing that face. Relief flooded through her, a smile touching her lips as she started her response and fought to keep from tearing up. She had done quite enough of that today.]

Black Bolt. It's okay, I'm here. It's just us. Have you gone far? From that Bay. I can come to you.

When the video clicked on, Black Bolt was a bit confused. He didn't recognize this young man, but he seemed to know him, or know of him. This wouldn't have been surprising on Attilan, but it certainly was here, in this place that was not even Earth, that was something else.

After a moment, he nodded. Obviously he didn't speak, but he tilted his chin up slightly, raising his eyebrows in a gesture of, and you?

He was surprised to see someone else in this place who signed, even though they weren't signs he was familiar with. He followed them, though, paying attention to the signs and the words that follow them. He wondered, briefly, whether her reasons for not speaking were similar to his, or if she was merely unable - and he wondered about the mechanism that allowed her to communicate that way, as the voice clearly wasn't coming from her mouth.

He was mostly unable to articulate those questions, but he did text back, "I don't know the signs here," he admitted, tapping out the letters carefully. He still wasn't used to this, putting his thoughts into written - or typed - word. "Is there somewhere I can learn?"

When the device made the soft pinging noise that alerted him to a new video message, it didn't occur to Black Bolt that it could be his wife - as much as he would have dreamed it, everyone who had contacted him so far had been a stranger. When he saw Medusa, his heart nearly stopped, his expression instantly softening to something like relief, sadness, love.

The first thing he did when he saw her was place his hand over his heart, a clear declaration. He shook his head to her question, briefly moving the camera so that the visual would pan to his surroundings - he was only a few steps out of the Bay. He didn't move his hand.

[That was different. But hey, he'd already seen some pretty weird stuff.]

Hi. No one knows who brought us here. Or why, really. But everyone with a necklace? We're in the same boat. Were you trying to ask something, before?

[ Her reason for being mute is basically unknown, however, it tends to throw off her opponents at their inability to read her.

Nodding, Neo gives him the answer:

"At the university. They have a course on it."

A boring course, at that, but he can find out by himself. ]

[That was enough to make what composure she had weaken further, eyes squeezing shut as she pulled a hand to her own chest. It gave her the moment she needed to speak without her voice wavering. To take a breath.]

Good. I can be there soon. [She was already moving after all. Finding her way back to the Bay would be simple.]

He nodded again, stopping where he was and lifting his gaze to the street. He waited, patiently, still holding the phone with the video on until she got there. As soon as she was in view, he walked to meet her, taking long, purposeful steps until he was close enough to embrace her. For this, he didn't need words.

He nodded, typing, "Thank you. I appreciate your help. My name is Black Bolt." It was fairly clear that no one here knew who he was, so he thought it was prudent to make it known.

Medusa accepted the embrace easily and returned it eagerly. They had been separated for nearly no time, but it was still too long.

"We're stuck here," she all but whispers, the words almost bitter.

[ "Call me Neo.

How'd you get a name like that?"

It's pretty cool. There's gotta be a backstory to it. ]

[Scott wasn't expecting him to speak, knowing far too well what could happen if he did. But the nod is confirmation enough about the man's identity and Scott tries to look more relaxed than he feels. Black Bolt doesn't seem to recognize him either so he's going to lock the post to speak to him as he did with Medusa.]

My name is Scott Summers. Where I come from Inhumans, humans, and mutants coexist and I've heard of you. [Let's leave it at that.] I think you might be from an universe similar to mine but not exactly the same, that's the impression I've got after talking to Queen Medusa this morning. Your wife arrived today too, she's uninjured..sort of. [He pauses briefly. Scott isn't sure how much Black Bolt knows about what happened to his wife or Maximus, and how he might take the news.]

This device, the communicator, has a text option that can translate any language you write in into one other people could understand.

Black Bolt, huh? [He may have caught his name from his conversation with Scott. Can't really say he's met the guy, but he's definitely heard of him.]

The device has a text function if you don't know already. I'm David Haller, Guardian of Genessia City. I've heard of you from my world, but never actually met you or anything.

[What a serious looking man. He looks lost, though, and Dray is all to familiar with that feeling so he waves at the camera, ears perking up.]

HI! Are you okay?

He can't say he's exactly shocked to see a.. cat-person? in the video - for him, it's actually somewhat comforting to know that he isn't the only Inhuman here. (Well, he doesn't know that this person isn't like him, anyway. Assumptions are made.)

His response is a nod. Simple. Yes, he's fine.

Black Bolt nodded in response to the question of his name. He paused before switching to text to respond to the rest, mulling it over in his mind. "What do you mean by guardian?" he asked in text, eyebrows furrowing at the language. He had a feeling he had a lot to learn about this world.

He held her, and after a moment his hand moved to her head, feeling the bristly, soft short hairs there. Closing his eyes briefly, he fought not to hold on too tightly, and pulled apart far enough to sign to her, What happened to you? After a brief pause, he continued, Who did this?

"My parents gave it to me," he typed, his expression slightly quizzical. It didn't really occur to him that his name might be strange here.

He listened attentively to what Scott was saying, and when he was finished he did switch to the texting mechanism, which Glenn had helpfully explained to him. "Thank you," he typed, fingers careful on the keys, still unused to them. "I will find her. We coexist where you are from?" That was different, unexpected.

It was strange, almost new, being able to feel the warmth of his fingers against her scalp as they brushed across the remnants of her hair. It wasn't unpleasant, really, other than acting as a reminder. It wasn't even as if she needed one.

Medusa pressed her lips together in a line, gathering her thoughts as she looked up into Black Bolt's eyes. "Maximus," was the answer to both questions, the word almost defiant, as if there was some tiny fraction of her who was afraid he might not believe her. "It will grow back," she added after a short pause, attempting to pull the corners of her mouth up into something like a smile, some hint of reassurance she was not herself feeling.

A Guardian is someone that leads and protects a city. There are five of us in all, each responsible for a city. Well..technically there is 6. One City's Guardian stepped down, but they left two of their subordinates in charge of it. So they run the city together.

[Chiaki had not really been sure what to make of the video feed, he seemed like a quiet guy so should she really be bothering someone like that? Maybe he didn't want anyone talking to him or something, he really didn't have a clue. But regardless she turns it on anyway.]

You are a man of very few words, it seems. It;s different than most new arrivals... I assume you are new anyway.

[Scott gives him a friendly smile but there is tension in his jaw. It feels so weird to speak in relatively friendly terms with Black Bolt after everything. But the man most likely isn't from his universe and clearly having a bad time, the least Scott can do is try to help.]

We do, with more or less success. Humans still fear some of us, but they're more inclined to accept Inhumans than mutants. [Scott still doesn't understand why.]

[Cat person is a good definition, even if the right words is Eidion. Not like anybody in this world ever now what Dray is, so he's not too concerned about the strange looks he might get on occasions. He's also okay with not verbal answer, it looks like the man can hear him at least.]

A good. You seemed new here and I thought you could use some help. I'm Dray, nice to meet you.
