[...this was not something Yuyuko had anticipated at all. A new world, with technology that was quite foreign to her, people she'd never met before, and to make matters worse? The last thing she recalled before she woke up was being in the middle of a delicious meal that her adorable little gardener had made.

Needless to say, the ghost woman was not impressed when she woke up in a strange place, but Yuyuko figured that would be the case for anyone, really. As she mulled the situation over in her mind, she wandered the streets of this strange new city, hovering just an inch off the ground or so.

Her expression remained frustrated as she floated about, scoping out her new surroundings. The idea that perhaps this was Yukari's doing briefly crossed her mind, but despite her friend's...somewhat playful streak, Yuyuko knew that this was above and beyond that.]

Ah, this is simply...wonderful.

[She says sarcastically to herself, before huffing, followed by her stomach growling. That's right. She'd been eating before she arrived...here. Wherever here was, exactly. Perhaps she should find someplace to buy something to eat. She could think about things after she was full.]

[ Friday night, and everyone is having fun and gearing up for the start of another weekend. Ayame just finished up at Atelier Iris, choosing to walk home instead of bringing her car. Her thoughts are adrift as she walks, filled with thoughts about her new artistic ideas, business strategies, to more petty things like one pedestrian's terrible outfit or what to do. Ayame looks around the restaurants and the bars she pass by, seeing all the smiling faces of the weary adults celebrating with their peers.

She feels a pang of envy at the sight, thinking this is just gonna be a boring Friday night at her home in Attleton, just watching TV and eating a tub of ice cream and half a bottle of Scotch. Even with people here she can call friends, Ayame's always been bad at reaching out. While she wallows her way to the Attleton archway, Ayame senses a ghostly presence nearby, floating around the streets. Ghostly people like that are common here, so Ayame didn't pay it any mind until it seems to be heading the opposite of where she's walking.

Ayame figures it must be a pendant-wearer, and even when she meets Yuyuko face to face, she didn't pay her any mind besides a curious glance and a small nod. It wasn't until that loud growling stomach that really broke the ice and made Ayame turn her head to call out to Yuyuko ]

Excuse me. Are you alright? You seem lost, apart from incredibly famished...

[ Ayame shows her pendant, just to show Yuyuko that she's one of them ]

Well now, look who it is.

[ And look who's here, none other than that vampire that owns that mansion by the lake. The same one who let herself get manipulated into going to the moon because the alternative was boring. ]

[To be fair, it wasn't as if Yuyuko had any outstanding plans for back home besides eating and enjoying her own free time. Maybe teasing Youmu a little. Still, her lack of plans did not make this any more comforting.

There does seem to be a fair number of people here though, and while she didn't outright approach any of them, she got the sense they were more or less content. When someone finally spoke to her, it actually caught Yuyuko off guard briefly, although she did respond after a moment.]

...I suppose as alright as one can be when torn from their home and a home-cooked meal.

[Translated: This blows. She tilts her head quizzically at the flash of the pendant, having not really taken the time to read through the stuff in her little box, but she did have it with her.]

[Now that a voice that actually sounded vaguely familiar. Yuyuko turns her head to glance at the source.]

Oh, the vampire.

[Which has a name, but she doesn't quite remember it.]

Were you kidnapped too?

What do you mean 'the vampire?' There's a lot in Everglade to begin with.

[ Then if you ask Remi, Yuyuko must be getting forgetful in her old age. ]

...Yes. I have been here for some time.

Everglade?

[Yuyuko looks genuinely confused. It's not so much that she's forgetful, she just can't be bothered to remember everyone in Gensokyo by name.]

That's a fairly vague answer.

[ This little vampire is going to assume she's being forgetful. ]

That is one of the 'cities' in this world... It's a land populated by supernaturals. Mostly of the western kind.

[ Ayame's lips split to let a quiet noise leave her mouth, understanding Yuyuko's words and frustrations immediately. ]

Ah, yes. That would make someone not be at their best moods.

[ Ayame glances away, looking in front of her and contemplating whether or not she would do anything. But since she's instinctively a helpful person, Ayame finds herself getting involved anyway, looking at Yuyuko one more time ]

But your hunger cannot be left unattended like that. I know a good all-you-can-eat buffet. Hopefully that would be a sufficient replacement for that home-cooked meal?

So it is.

[Hey, the only thing she ever truly forgot was where her body was.]

Interesting, although being interesting does not excuse the fact we were spirited away.

[At least Yuyuko isn't freaking out or anything of the sort. She's more the type to stew in her frustrations rather than vent it. Which is a very good thing considering what she's capable of.]

Indeed.

[She was about to simply agree with Ayame at first, but then there were a few words that just completely caught her off guard.]

...all-you-can-eat?

Yes. For a price you can dine on their provided meals to your heart's content. It's quite the walk away from here, so I can provide you with a shortcut.

[ Ayame has no idea about Yuyuko's appetite and how that buffet would go bankrupt once Yuyuko is unleashed there. All she knows is that she's helping a fellow Otherworlder out ]

Yes, well... We're all stuck here. And it doesn't look like we can do much but make a life for ourselves here.

Is that so?

Or have you simply not bothered to try and resolve the issue?

I've never heard of such a thing.

[A terrible atrocity is about to be committed.]

A shortcut, you say? I can fly.

Flying is quick, but a portal is quicker.

[ Without effort or action, Ayame uses her power to create a ripple in space in the shape of a circle, showing the lobby of a fancy hotel buffet with a colorful spread of assorted meals, dessert items, and drinks lined up for yards and looking like they're really only a step through the portal away from being touched. The people around them remain unaware of the sudden appearance of a portal in by the sidewalk, and Ayame takes the first step through the portal, inviting Yuyuko in ]

Now that I think of it, I have a craving for some pudding.

[Chiaki always enjoyed taking her Pokemon out when she was taking a break for one reason or another and she always found herself taking the occasional route over to the Bay still. She knew she was told to not do that and to focus on other things, but even now she found herself doing it. But at least it was only taking the Pokemon out now and now always daily.

As she got close to the Bay she noticed that someone seemed to be around so she put on a smile, hands firmly at her side as she got closer.]

Did you just come from the Bay or are you checking to see if anyone you know will turn up?

[Haru had been working at the Bright Sky Diner in Genessia and had just ended her shift. Sighing slightly, she could feel how tired she was as she walked. Her legs were sore as were her feet. She couldn't wait to get home and perhaps have a very nice and long bath.

However instead as she turned the corner she found herself nearly colliding with the other. Bowing slightly, she figured she might as well say sorry.]

Ah, sorry.

[Well, that's something Yuyuko's actually accustomed to. Well, more or less. Typically, Yukari is the only one capable of traversing her gaps. Even so, she hasn't seen or heard of anyone else possessing a similar ability, so there is a brief look of surprise.]

Oh! I suppose it would be.

[She hesitates a moment, but the ghostly woman floats on through. It's not like she has to worry about dying or ending up in a wall or anything. As she appears on the other side though, the aroma and promise of a filling meal already have her drooling.]

Oh my.

[The younger girl gets a glance from the clearly out-of-place woman, and although it takes a second, she does manage a somewhat forced smile back at Chiaki.]

A little of both, perhaps. I suppose it may come as no surprise, but this is a situation most are likely unfamiliar with, myself included.

[The feeling of being sore after a long day's work and walking is something Yuyuko has long since forgotten. However, she wasn't paying much attention to her surrounding as it was, lost in thought. Yuyuko gasps in surprise as she nearly bumps into the young woman, offering a slight bow in return.]

Ah, the fault is mine, dear. I was not paying any attention.

[ The portal closes behind Yuyuko after she made it through, immediately her senses will be awash with various color and aromas from the different foods and drink on display, all there for the taking. ]

Consider this Genessia's welcome party for you.

[ Ayame motions with her head for Yuyuko to follow her around for a bit, showing Yuyuko her wide variety of options. ]

You can call me Ayame. I'm a tailor for a living here. Have you had time to read through the brochure? I'm here for you should you have any questions.

So more new than been here a while then. Usually afte5 a while you get used to the situation.

[In Chiaki's case she is very much aware that she won't have anything outside of this place, so she is probably one of the few who would want to stay here.]

But I'm sure you have plenty of questions because of it.

[While she does have some questions, she knows there's little that can be done. Otherwise, it's likely someone would have done something about this already.]

Like winter, there's naught that can be done save wait for the warmth and comfort of spring to arrive.

[She does glance back briefly to see if the portal remained, but she wasn't worried about it. Besides, there's something much more important now. Sating that gnawing hunger.]

Much more welcoming than what was back in the bay.

[While the view had been nice, waking up in an unfamiliar place without warning was unpleasant. The ghostly woman hums to herself as she takes in the sight and smell of her many options.]

My name is Yuyuko Saigyouji. I did, although it was not much comfort.

Then shall we just say we both weren't.

[She smiled, hands gently placed in front of her. She figured that was the best and probably truthful way in such a case.]

But I should introduce myself. My name is Haru. Haru Okumura.
