OPEN: The Labyrinth of Attleton
WHO: Open!
WHAT: Attleton gets consumed by a monster-filled maze. Issues ensue.
WHEN: Saturday Feb 28th, Early evening.
WHERE: Attleton City
WARNINGS: Violence, chaos, possible character death. I'll add other warnings if it comes up.
A fairly unremarkable Saturday passes in Attleton without much event, or cause for notice. As the sun begins to set and late afternoon sets in, though, everything starts to change. What begun as the distant sound of inhuman roars and hisses from the Arena progressed on to minor earthquakes, as any unfortunate enough to be in the Arena at the time would see thick walls of stone rising up high around them to form the centre of a maze.
The labyrinth begins it's steady spread across the city. Slowly, at first, but gradually picking up momentum as the buildings are engulfed and surrounded by a maze of twisting, branching and winding corridors, all remarkably hard to distinguish from one another. It aimed to trap all residents in it's wake, disorientating them so the hunters within might be able to find easy prey.
The roars, the serpentine hissing fade into an eerie, oppressive silence, the fall of dusk giving the walls long, dark shadows. A few hours remain until nightfall.
[OOC: This is an open catch-all, so everyone feel free to tag each other and have some 'dear Gods what just happened' fun.
There are medusa and minotaurs lurking in the labyrinth - I believe Timmy'll be handling confrontations with them if that's what you're looking for. As a side note, they appear human until they attacked or are threatened, at which point they show their true colours.
OOC post for questions is right here! And as mentioned, if your character is an Attleton resident who wants to avoid the mess, feel free to assume the maze somehow skipped them.]

So far, she was still on the first step of her plan. At least, for once, she had a plan:
1) Find the treasure!
2) Get out of the dungeon!
3) Profit!
... Really, though, the first step was probably the problem here. And there wasn't likely to be any treasure, either, not that she knew that right now...

Medea enjoyed the fact that there were many humans who willingly toured the labyrinth in false hope of treasure and the like. Perhaps it was because of the gold loaned to her sisters, by their dragon kin that lured helpless humans in. Regardless, it was fun to see them squirm and lose themselves inside the maze. If only the labyrinth itself wasn't alive, then they may get out before her sisters and brothers could get to them.
Too bad.
But it was fair game for her, just like it was back during the time of King Minos. So now, it was time to hunt. Time to play. Time to turn human body's into stone and steal their souls for their beloved mother. Everything, for their mother who reads their minds and controls their lives.
"Are you lost... too?", she hissed from behind the girl whom flew inside the labyrinth.

"Perhaps. Or perhaps I'm simply looking. I'm pretty sure I can escape with one of my spells in a pinch, after all."
Something about her word choice seemed... Off, somehow, to Medea. Like this woman wasn't talking about learned spells.

"Spells?", she said, almost surprised. "Do you mean like, you know, magical things?", she said a bit worried about how the other girl spoke. Though, it wouldn't surprise Medea, during her time, humans were well learned in all things magical.
Sorry for the delay! x_x
Of course, the spell she was speaking of wasn't bardic in nature. That was the thing, dealing with a non-human.
