Video;
[The video cuts on to show a well-dressed man, his collar loosened but still sporting a tie under a nice vest over which he seems to be wearing a shoulder holster. The fedora he's wearing is cocked to the side slightly, and while it may be a little over the top, it somehow suits him.
He doesn't smile when he starts to speak, but there's an earnest honesty in his olive green eyes that keeps his expression from looking too severe.]
Hey, Genessia. It's been a while.
[He shrugs as though to say that isn't his point and continues.]
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ronan O'Connor. Back home, I was a detective with the Salem Police, in Massachusetts, if you're familiar with it, and yeah, that's the town that got a bad rap a few hundred years ago for executing witches. Turns out they were actually spirit mediums.
I felt my experiences there gave me enough knowledge to help out around Everglade, and though I'm not on the deputy payroll anymore, I still have a special place in my heart for that town. It was my first home here, and honestly, it's the most like Salem of all the places that make up out little settlement here.
What I've saying is Guardians and their deputies have their hands full most of the time with administration, but I'm still here, and I'm open for business. My going rate's 125 Redbills a day, plus expenses. It'll be itemized. No job's too small.
If you need a detective, look me up or just reply here. I'll get you taken care of.
Action;
[Currently, Ronan is running his business out of the back room at Terra's flower shop in Attleton. Feel free to swing by and see the sign in the window!]

[Currently, Ronan is running his business out of the back room at Terra's flower shop in Attleton. Feel free to swing by and see the sign in the window!]
action;
He doesn't hang out in Attleton, it's too...nice. He feels like he sticks out or like he might stain the happy place by just being there. His fists are shoved hard into his pockets, his eyes directed on the path in front of him and little else. He would stick out no matter what he did so there was no point in trying to hide himself.
He steps into the shop and walks straight to the back. His nose can pick up each flower and it's nauseating; not a smell he's used too. He steps towards the back room and pushes open the door.]
Hey.
action;
Hey. What brings you to Attleton?
action;
Looking to see this new job of yours. [A cat hisses at Ronan and Toby before darting back into the flower shop. Toby chuckles and makes a mental note that there is a cat here.]
Nice to see you're doing well.. the room is too small. [He is just too big but Toby won't admit that.]
action;
The Jolly Green Giant's got no business blaming a room. [He makes a motion to the desk and the laptop sitting on top of it.] So, now you see it. Detective work isn't about the desk.
action;
[Toby crosses his arms in front of his chest, mostly because he feels like he'll run into something otherwise.]
Don't you have to fit customers in here?
action;
Yeah. Most of them fit. [And he looks up at the taller man.] And unless you're paying, all the customers still do.
action;
Do you really think I need your help finding anything?
[Toby's eyebrow rose slightly as if daring Ronan to say yes.]
action;
That's my point, Gigantor. If you don't need a detective, why are you here?
action;
Checking on you.
[He also doesn't have a job and has nothing to do right now.]
action;
You can here to check on me? I don't need a bodyguard.
action;
[Toby's arms cross over his chest.]
I didn't think you'd start something on your own.
action;
action;
[Toby leans against the wall feeling the room press in on him. He really is to big for this small backroom.]
I can leave.
action;
Nah. I wanted to talk to you about something, anyway. [He stands, moving toward the back door.]
There's no reason to let you suffocate, though. Let's step out back.
[Besides, I can smoke out there.]
action;
What do you want to talk about.
[He looks over at Ronan smelling the cigarette over everything else in the alley. It's surprisingly clean for a back alley and it smells like flowers and other discarded plants.]
action;
[He pauses.]
There's a lot of 'em.
action;
And?
action;
action;
[Which means yes.]
action;
If you want to look over the files he sent over, they're back inside.
action;
[He nods to the cigarette. It doesn't take a werewolves nose to know that he isn't allowed to smoke inside, that or he doesn't out of courtesy. Either way, the smell doesn't cling to the store the way it clings to Ronan's clothes.]
action;
It's just a couple cases, really.
action;
Sure.
[Anything that involves tracking things down is Toby's specialty.]
This doesn't look to hard.
action;
Sounds like a plan. So, partners, or are you working for me?
action;
Partners.
[Though Toby will always be a trained dog.]
