[The video cuts on to show a well-dressed man, his collar loosened but still sporting a tie under a nice vest over which he seems to be wearing a shoulder holster. The fedora he's wearing is cocked to the side slightly, and while it may be a little over the top, it somehow suits him.
He doesn't smile when he starts to speak, but there's an earnest honesty in his olive green eyes that keeps his expression from looking too severe.]
Hey, Genessia. It's been a while.
[He shrugs as though to say that isn't his point and continues.]
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ronan O'Connor. Back home, I was a detective with the Salem Police, in Massachusetts, if you're familiar with it, and yeah, that's the town that got a bad rap a few hundred years ago for executing witches. Turns out they were actually spirit mediums.
I felt my experiences there gave me enough knowledge to help out around Everglade, and though I'm not on the deputy payroll anymore, I still have a special place in my heart for that town. It was my first home here, and honestly, it's the most like Salem of all the places that make up out little settlement here.
What I've saying is Guardians and their deputies have their hands full most of the time with administration, but I'm still here, and I'm open for business. My going rate's 125 Redbills a day, plus expenses. It'll be itemized. No job's too small.
If you need a detective, look me up or just reply here. I'll get you taken care of.
Action;
[Currently, Ronan is running his business out of the back room at Terra's flower shop in Attleton. Feel free to swing by and see the sign in the window!]

action;
He doesn't hang out in Attleton, it's too...nice. He feels like he sticks out or like he might stain the happy place by just being there. His fists are shoved hard into his pockets, his eyes directed on the path in front of him and little else. He would stick out no matter what he did so there was no point in trying to hide himself.
He steps into the shop and walks straight to the back. His nose can pick up each flower and it's nauseating; not a smell he's used too. He steps towards the back room and pushes open the door.]
Hey.
action;
Hey. What brings you to Attleton?
action;
Looking to see this new job of yours. [A cat hisses at Ronan and Toby before darting back into the flower shop. Toby chuckles and makes a mental note that there is a cat here.]
Nice to see you're doing well.. the room is too small. [He is just too big but Toby won't admit that.]
action;
The Jolly Green Giant's got no business blaming a room. [He makes a motion to the desk and the laptop sitting on top of it.] So, now you see it. Detective work isn't about the desk.

It has been awhile Ronan. It's good to see you doing what your good at. How have you been? I don't even know what you've been up to for the last few months.
[She hasn't been keeping tabs on him.]
Video
What have you been up to?
Video
[Sorry Ronan, it's hard to picture you at a flower shop. Levy has to bite her lip to try not to laugh.]
I can see that didn't stick. I've been thinking about opening another bookstore in Everglade. [She misses it too.] Besides that I've been helping with Hands of Decay stuff here. Trying to put a large shield over the city.
[If she had the energy she'd do it for Everglade to though that'd be a little tricking considering the limits of her powers.]

Honestly, kid, that's what I'm expecting. People don't call private investigators or murder cases.
Re: video;
Are you really sure about that? The police officers call Uncle Kogoro in all the time on difficult cases. And sometimes clients ask Uncle Kogoro to work cases with the police.

Kid, people have been doing way worse to each other for centuries. It's not news.

It might not be news, but it is still awful regardless.

Re: action;
He hated Monopoly.]
Hey, kid. Yugi, right? You're the guy Terra borrows all the board games from. [He waves a hand.] Come on in.
action;
That's right. You are Terra's roommate. She mentions you, sometimes.
[He was at least glad to put a face to the person at least. It was better than trying to take a guess.]

Is it okay if I speak to you in person? Since I'm the Guardian of Everglade I want to offer something.
[Since people want to help out, he was happily going to let them of course, but he wanted to make sure they got something from it considering how dangerous this world can be right now.]

I will be over soon enough. Might take an hour or so because travelling, of course.

She knocks on the back room and then pushes it open with her hip. In her hands is a tray with a sandwich and a glass of water. She isn't giving him more coffee considering he's already drunk the pot from this morning. She doesn't think coffee is very good for you.]
Have you seen Howel?
[She asks in a light voice as she steps into the room.]
Action...
Ronan looks up from the folder in which he was making notes and points after the cat.]
Right there.
Action...
I don't understand why he doesn't like you...

video;
The well-dressed man finds a girl with bright blonde hair and blue eyes looking at him. She seems to be in her upper teens, and only appears in the video from her neck up.]
Can you find out who brought us here?
video;
There are people out there, they call themselves the spirits, who claim they brought the people here who "best embody what it means to be alive". That's all we've got, kid.
Anything other than that, and it's going to take more than just one cop to figure it out.
video;
[She moves closer to the screen, excitement making her eyes a little lighter.] Then you really can find out! Who is it?!
