[Behold, its everyone's favorite inchling. Favorite because she was the only one in all of the cities. That meant the minuscule girl was everyone's favorite by default. It also made her their least favorite by default, but there was no need to go into that. She is nestled on the 'porch' of her birdhouse home, which she had long since claimed as her own despite it being on public land.]

So, I was off on a fly with my pokemon recently and I couldn't help but notice there was all sorts of weird looking people around. Something strange must be going on again, huh? I've seen lots of people talking about it.

[Other people were here only source of news, its not like newspapers got delivered to birdhouses, after all!]

People changing into weird stuff and things? But nothing happened to me. Whatever weirdo is doing that probably just didn't notice me. Even the evil spirits don't know I exist.

[Yes, the girl seems dejected she wasn't twisted into some sort of unrecognizable form.]

O..or maybe I did change. Maybe I became a ghost inchling and that is why no one notices me?! Th..that must be it! Hey! People CAN see me right? I mean, I don't LOOK transparent or anything, but that could just be because I see myself normal!

[She waves her hands in front of her face in a panic, as if she's expecting them to disappear any second.]

[Evangeline fires off deadpan. Because she's pretty attuned to the spirit world and all that jazz, never had any trouble seeing even the most faded and inconsequential ghosts. Sorry Aisaka.]

...is that a birdhouse?

You can't say? Oh no, that means its probably true! But...no, if you say even see me it must NOT be, that is good.

[She looks relieved, though she might be less so if she knew more about who she was talking to.]

Oh, and yes, its supposed to be for birds, but I've been living in it since everything in this city is sized for tallfolk. Its not the most comfortable, particularly compared to back home, but its at least the right size!

Well, I could see you regardless. Maybe check if you still have feet?

[She seems more interested in discussing the house though.]

I'd think that would be hard to furnish. Just bare wood walls in there?

[The minuscule girl takes a moment to look down, and seems to be in good spirits when she looks back up.]

Hmm. Well, I still see my feet, so I guess I was worrying about nothing.

[The part about being able to see her regardless seems to just pass her by.]

Hm? Well, I have a little bit of cotton to sleep in, and a cloth I tack up at night to keep bugs from crawling in, but I don't really have a lot of stuff. Everything in this place is made for giants, so I don't really find a lot my size. And its sort of difficult to make this 'money' stuff to have things made for me, too!

I can see you at least. Does that help determine you aren't a ghost of some kind?

[When she sees a response, the tiny girl seems to stop panicking.]

O..oh, that's good. I mean, its not like I hate ghosts or anything, but I really don't want to be one. I'd have even more trouble getting people to notice me if I was a ghost!

So it is always a trouble of not being noticed?

[The girl nods.]

We inchlings always have this trouble when we live in places made for tallfolk. And there isn't really anywhere my size around here. If I didn't have this talky machine thingy I doubt anyone would even know I existed!

I must admit, I don't know a lot about inchlings. Not even from books, but I am sure there are ways to get noticed.
