11th Light
[Okay, so Liora's only been back for a short while, but she's still weirded out by the whole Fayren bounty shared dream thing.]
That...that was a strange dream. I dreamed for a whole year, and I...I was... [Wait for it...] I was...human!
[OH THE HORROR!!]
I only took that bounty because I hoped I would discover new abilities...not lose the abilities I already had! Although we were able to regain our abilities in the end...it was still frightening to live a whole year like that...
[She sighs to calm herself down. There's always something positive, right? She's a Light dragon, so she should focus on the lighter side of things.]
I guess...it was nice being able to eat human food? And...being human may not be a bad thing if you're used to it. Perhaps if I were a larger dragon, it would be useful to shift from dragon to human at will. But being this small, I wouldn't have a need for that ability. I...I like being a dragon. I like having wings.
[Losing her wings was perhaps the most terrifying part of becoming human.]
An experience like that makes me not want to take bounties anymore...but then again, I'll never become stronger if I don't. I just don't know how to push myself anymore...
[Not that she really knew how to begin with in this world...]
...I never thought I would actually miss taking the Passage...

S-S-Sparring?
[It sounds like something she might need, but she would need the right kind of opponent too.]
W-Well...what kind of fighting do you do?
Re: [video]
[A "Keyblade"...that sounds like some kind of sword. Chakrams, she really has no idea. But she's definitely familiar with fire magic. So this person is skilled at both physical fighting and magic? He'd probably be way beyond her capability of fighting.]
Um...I'm a caster...not really a fighter. So I don't think I would do well with sparring...
I can cast one energy ball, and one healing spell. But my Light-based magic...I can't get it to work...
Re: [video]
Though I guess I could conjure up some fire targets for you to try your energy ball on? Maybe all you need is a bit of a magical workout.
[Well, she hasn't thought of one type of magic being more difficult to use than another, but it does make sense in the case of Light magic.]
That's what I'm thinking as well. When I did back home was, my partners and I went out to battle monsters, and we would develop our skills and abilities that way. But in this world, I don't have my partners, and there's hardly any monsters to fight.
Re: [video]

"Heartless?" What are those like?
[Might as well find that out, just in case Genessia decides to bring monsters from everyone's home world here. She still worries about either the Beastclans or Erebus showing up one day.]
So...how do you train here? Do you...spar with others?
Re: [video]
[Lea nodded.]
Yeah; with my friends Karla and Xion mostly. They're both pretty good at it.
[She pauses to consider her own training and experience so far.]
So it's true that real-life battle experience is the best way to become stronger. I don't know if I can find another caster to spar with...
Re: [video]
[Lea nods.]
Hmmm... my friend Xion was primarily a magic user before she started using the Keyblade. And she's got really good control. I could see if she'd be interested.
Well...that does sound different from the Shade. According to the engravings in the Sunbeam Ruins, the Shade came from space, and it seeks to drain all life and energy from the planet. We dragons were lucky that we didn't have to deal with it. Until...
[She trails off, hoping against all hope that it isn't the Shade that she's up against back home now.]
That would probably help. Or if there's some kind of training or mission, where we could fight together against some enemies...whether my partners are fighters...that would help, too. That was why I took that bounty...but it wasn't what I expected...
So...how should I address you...?
Re: [video]
[Lea nods his agreement, but then looks vaguely puzzled when asked how he should be addressed.]
Hmm? Just Lea is fine. Not sure why it'd be anything else.
It's true. Different worlds, different darkness, different magic...everything is different.
This is why I was trying to become stronger...because I believe the Shade is returning. I might as well try to stop it, especially if Erebus is going to be after me...
[Shade or no, she doesn't want to be just a vulnerable target.]
Well, I...just didn't know your name. So it's Lea? I'm Liora, from Sornieth.
Re: [video]
Not sure if power we gain here can transfer back home, but if it can, that's a good idea.
[And now he looks embarrassed because, oh, right, he hadn't introduced himself, had he?]
He, sorry. I guess I forgot that I hadn't told you my name. Usually that's one of the first things I tell people.
