001 Wish // Video
[The feed clicks on and shows...a sea of blue fabric and wispy white hair. Someone sputters and pulls the device out and the picture is, well, not much improved. Now there's a rather annoyed looking old man glaring at the camera.]
Of all the ridiculous things to saddle me with! I've plenty of things to do back home thank you, if you needed my help well! It would have been polite to ask!
[He knows the feed is on but he still drops the communicator to his side and hums to himself.]
Well it could be worse. At least this place looks half way decent. Really, can't they see I'm a busy man! Arthur's barely taken the throne and oh good heavens does he have a way to go.
I suppose may as well!
[Merlin clears his throat and holds up the device again.]
Now listen here, I'm Merlin and yes you've heard of me and yes I am that Merlin. Now, I'm going to explore Fayren as it seems to be the better place. Pirates aside of course. So if you have anything on where an old man like me can live, well don't keep it to yourself.

...Merlin? I've never heard of anyone with that name. I agree that Fayren is a nice place. I've been living here ever since I woke up in this world.
Re: [Video]
[He adjusts his glasses, really having to hold this thing was a bit annoying.]
Excellent! There's an empty tower or two about?
[She always seems to enjoy meeting other magic users, hoping that someone would be able to help her with her Light magic problems. But lately she's coming to realize that no one really can.]
An empty tower...to live in? I'm not sure if there is one...but there are buildings called "inns" and "hotels." Or...I think there are also ones called "apartments."
...But I think you would have to have a job that pays income in order to live in those buildings...
[As a nomadic dragon, she can't really grasp all of these things. Money and houses? Dragons don't need those...]

[Video, I'm so sorry in advance]
"That" Merlin? [She's even doing air quotes around the word, isn't that nice?] Can't say I've heard of you, am I supposed to have?
[Video, I'm so sorry in advance]

Let me guess. Human and a magic user of some sort? That's absolutely adorable.

You'll find no retirement communities within Fayren, nor would I hope to find any such establishments for the elderly in Everglade. The others may have something for you along those lines, however.
[All she knows is that he's old. Once she sees the magic? Her opinion might change.]
[Or it might not.]
Re: [Video]
Retirement? Now listen here. I might be an old man but I've still at least a hundred years left!

[Winter lifts her chin, regarding him shrewdly.]
If you wish for something more specialized, it is your responsibility to list your requirements in thorough detail.

Hey, Merlin! Good to see a familiar face who's not in a black coat.
Re: [video]
[Squinting a bit, give him a moment before recognition dawns.]
Ah! Lea, I was not expecting to find anyone from that world here. I should have I suppose.
Re: [video]
In fact, there's a friend of mine I'd like to introduce you to once you get settled in. Not only is she a nice person, but she's also tied up in some really complicated magical problems I was hoping to get your thoughts on.

MERLIN!? Truly!? Oh, who won't Genessia bring next! The one born from an incubus? The one whose soul waits in the Pine of Brenton to return to the world yet? The one that let Morgan le Fay enchant and dupe...
[You know now that he thinks of it some of the Merlin's most interesting features weren't his most flattering. Should he be concerned about spoilers? Merlin can feel free to interrupt the mouth flood at any time.]
Re: [Video]
Now, now, I wouldn't go spreading that sort of thing about! And Morgana le Fay is far more formidable. Now hold on! Who are you?
Re: [Video]
[Ted can hardly contain his giddiness. Merlin! In the wrinkled flesh! And he's talking to him! And he's asking for his name!]
Ahaha, oh don't worry. You've made it in so many books, why, anyone with the barest hint of literacy is sure to know all about you! No scandals here!
[He blushes.] My name, pah! You're a great prophet; if you don't know, I dare say it's not worth knowing. What brings you here? Wait; do you have time for questions? I've so many.
[So, so many.]

[Soma sighs.]
Well, if Vlad Tepes could end up here, I suppose it's no surprise to see you here as well. Welcome to Genessia, old wizard.
[In spite of the words spoken, his voice carries a note of wry amusement, and he's smiling.]

[Vlad Tepes was here? Oh well he's half worried and mostly intrigued now.]
Thank you, I feel I'm a bit late on my arrival. Might need to wind my clock soon.
