Who: Barry Allen (Earth-2) and OPEN
Where: Between Genessia Commons and Garden Park Apartments
What: Moving day for Barry and Thea.
When: November 26th

After gaining employment, Barry had taken to walking around Genessia City just so that he could at least familiarize himself with his new and temporary surroundings. And one could really survive on microwave food for so long. He found himself walking along Iris Ave. Call him a sentimental man, but he honestly wished he had at least something of hers with him in this place. His eyes caught the open vacancy sign at Garden Park Apartments and applied to live there.

He, at least, had gotten close with Thea Queen. Certainly not the Thea Queen he was familiar with but familiar enough of a face to become friends with. He even invited her along to stay with him in the apartment.

Today was moving day and Barry packed up his meager belongings that he had at the Commons to move into his new home, reminding himself that all of this was simply temporary until he made it home.

Thea had also finally moved out of the commons once plans were made to become Barry's housemate. While not the Barry she would know back in her world they had become close friends and both found it was easier to trust someone who just got things and places they knew and miss (like Iris West and Roy Harper to name a couple). For now however she could only watch as Barry was making the apartment more like a short term (hopefully) home. "Let me do something? At least let me start chili or something simple that can be done from a stool?" since she can't take just sitting around for too long.

Barry sighed and set her laptop down in front of her.

"You could set up the home network?" he asked. "And chili actually sounds wonderful."

Thea goes to work on setting up a network for their laptops,"Chili just makes sense with the weather too." able to smile now since she can do something besides just sit around. "How hot do you like it? Because well I've been known to go a little overboard with the peppers when its 4 alarm chili." as her archery gear gets put away.

One laptop. That was what he managed to get during his brief time there so far. And some clothes, obviously. But Barry is working on settling things into their respective rooms. He stares down at the archery gear and shakes his head, very carefully settling it into Thea's room.

"Please don't make it so spicy that I won't be able to make it through the night. Or at least, have two different chilis so that you can make one as hot as you'd like."

"I'll go tame, two alarm good?" Thea had gotten the network set up and had moved into the kitchen to work on dinner. She had gotten a stool so she could at least sit down and not risk more injury while in recovery,"Network's ready too, both our laptops should be online now. As for phones I'll work on those after dinner." meaning their contacts with the new place.

What was Wade doing at the commons?

Anything he goddamn wanted, honestly.

The merc was, as ever, hopelessly bored. It wasn't enough to climb trees or moon buses or surf on police cars until they realized someone was up there and hit the breaks.

No sir, the next stop today was-

"It smells like mothballs and disappointment in here."

Climbing up the commons. He could take the stairs, but stairs were for quitters who didn't have problems with attention spans and high energy. There he was, clinging to the sill.

Doesn't matter which floor.

"Two alarm is just fine," he called back. Once he set everything in her room, he made his way back to the kitchen where she was and pulled out a kerchief to wipe at his brow. Barry sat down on a stool as well and looked around.

"Roy and...the others from your Earth are also welcomed here if they come truth. Which I hope they don't." He frowns, crossing his arms and tapping his foot a little. "I sincerely hope they don't."

Barry happened to be carrying a box of books he somehow amassed in his short period here and nearly dropped it at the sight of a red and black someone seemed to be clinging to the side of the building.

"Excuse me!" he called out. "Just what the heck are you doing?"

As Thea worked she observed,"Same goes for you, you need Iris just like I need my brother and Roy."

He shook his head.

"No. Absolutely not. I do not want Iris here. It's just too topsy turvy here and--"

Barry frowned more, tinkering with this and that around their new apartment.

"It's bad enough we were working with breaches that would come and go to different Earths. But this?"

"True/" Thea admits. "But at the same time we also need those we care for the most, like those that have our hears."

He nods.

"Do you need me to grab anything else? Maybe some of the pots and spices that are on the top shelves?"

"Just need a pot. the tomatoes and the jar of peppers please?" Thea did not mind the aid given her still healing stitches if she was being honest.

He hops up on his feet and goes through the cabinets, humming a little as he pulls down the tomatoes, the peppers, and fishes around for a pot.

"This isn't a bad place. And being a CSI for Genessia City isn't so bad. The work load is a little bit easier than Central City's."

"And I'm looking for something part time tending bar, just enough to feel useful while healing." Thea nods as she accepts the tomatoes, peppers and pot. "Any good stories from the office yet?" she asks.

"Thea, I'm not at liberty to discuss cases outside of the lab, you know that," Barry reminds her. He runs a hand over his face and rubs his eyes under his glasses. "I still say you are not fit at all to go into work until you've completely recovered from your injuries."

"I know, was hoping for general office gossip but that's ok too." Thea muses. She also gives up for now,"You know I just can't handle sitting around, just going a little stir crazy."

"Thea, I do not gossip." He hovers nearby just in case she needs something else to be grabbed from the top shelf. "I didn't at the precinct, I'm not going to start now."

"Fair enough." Thea simply nods and asks,"Can you grab that extra jar of onions?" before speaking a minute or so later. "Just going a little nuts, sure I need to heal but I also have to be doing something."

“Do cops gossip on your Earth?” He reaches up to grab what she asked for and settles down in his seat again, fiddling with his computer.
