Work it, Make it, Do it, Makes us
Who: Riza Hawkeye, Akihiko Sanada (and anyone in the Genessia City Police Department and/or the city if they want)
Where: Genessia Police Department Office (and the city/bay probably)
What: Talking and getting to know each other/working and stuff.
When: November 27th, early afternoon
Warnings: none? Maybe language depending on who responds besides the two listed.
Riza was normally quiet while at work. Show up, do paper work, file some things, go home, rinse, repeat. It was today that she was assigned a partner. She looked confused, considering there really wasn't much to do, as there were already bounty hunters who took care of a lot of the troublesome cases.
A beat cop. That made sense. Why she was chosen didn't make much sense, but she wasn't about to complain. It was when she noticed who it was that she smiled at him, and nodded in affirmation.
"Sanada. I'm glad to be working with you."
He was really the only person she would say more than a hello or goodbye to, but besides her first greeting via video when she arrived, she didn't speak to him too much. She was given the power to teach him about the job (really, there was nothing to it), and to show him the ropes of patrolling the city. They would share a large desk, which was fine by her- the computer was still somewhat difficult for her to figure out.
The two of them, almost instantly, received messages on their phones to see what the fuss around the arrival pods was.
"I suppose we have our first mission together," Riza smiled. "Let's check it out."

"Excellent. I've been itching to stretch my legs. Not sure what kind of fuss there could be at the bay though. Those pods are pretty sturdy things."
He speaks with the authority of someone who probably tried punching his way out of the pod when he first woke up. ...Okay, no probably about it.

"I'm not going to lie that I wanted to destroy those things when I first got here. My only weapon was a pistol, and I was fairly positive that my bullets would ricochet... and I'm positive of it now."
They arrived at their destination, and she frowned, looking at the scorched pod. "The Schnee company isn't going to be happy about this. But... what could have done it?"
no subject
"No idea. From the way the metal is bent it looks like whatever - or whoever - was inside blew up while still inside."
He straightens up and begins looking around the bay to make sure there wasn't anyone wounded and/or dying in the shadows. Once he was satisfied, he removed is hat and scratched his head. "This is bizarre..."

Riza was checking the pod itself for any dried (or fresh) blood. Nope, nothing.
"Well, we have dragons roaming the streets. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone like that... unless they disintegrated." There was a frown. "Do you see any ash?"
She didn't, but it was good to have another pair of eyes.
With a sigh, she stood, and dusted herself off.
"I guess it's just a matter of reporting this and replacing it," she smiled at Akihiko as she started taking pictures of the damage, "Honestly, it's nice when there isn't any fatalities. A broken pod is nothing when plenty of different types of residents here in Genessia can break it just as easily."
Satisfied with her pictures, she put her phone away and continued, "Although this is something to keep a close watch on. Not everyone is good."

Akihiko whispers it with a childlike smirk on his face. Oh how he'd love to punch an actual dragon. But he put that thought aside for the moment and focused on the task at hand.
"No ash as far as I can tell, but with the water, I doubt we'd be able to find any if there was."
no subject
"Then that means we're done here. At least until we download the pictures to the computer. Or is it upload? The terminology is like a foreign language," she sighed, "Sorry it was uneventful. Hey," she turned to him, "Do you have any experience with guns?" Riza smiled, "If you're going to be my partner, I'd like you to have my back."
no subject
He grinned, pulling the keys to the car out of his pocket as he moves back toward the entrance of the entrance.
"Nah, Japan has very strict laws about guns. Only police even have access to them, and even then only a handful of shots are fired in the entire country." Of course he says this as the butt of the custom silver handgun is holstered under his arm.
no subject
"So do you just carry that around for show?"
It was a light tease as she followed him outside. "Anyway, let's head back to the station to file the report, then I was thinking maybe I can take you to the range and show you some tricks. Unless you actually have no experience. In which case, I'd say it's time you learned."
no subject
He pulls the handgun from its holster, pointing the barrel into the air and pulled the trigger. Aside from a quiet bit of noise, nothing happened.
"It only looks like a gun. See, it's a part of my power. Part of why I turned down carrying a sidearm when I joined the force."
He turns the Evoker on himself, pressing it to his forehead and pulling the trigger again. This time, accompanying the sound of shattering glass, a large ivory man dressed in Roman garb holding a gladius and globe appears just behind him. "This is why I don't carry a gun."
