After hours at the Fairy Tail Bar
Who: Mirajane and the tenth doctor
What: The doctor has it out with Mirajane
Where: Fairy Haven Bar
When: Very late at night shortly after closing time on the 29th (before the AU event)
Warnings: None so far
Mirajane sighed as she started putting the bar stools up on the tables and the bar. Things were going relatively well all things considering, but she still couldn't help feeling a bit homesick now and then. She worried about her siblings, and she worried about the guild hall back home, but she was given the rare opportunity to meet people from all sorts of worlds here, and people who were no longer alive like Zeref and Mavis. It was an interesting trade off, and some of her other worldly friends were quite the lively bunch, like Rose Tyler. If it weren't for her, she wouldn't have a certain charming relief bartender, or have met any of her many friends like Amy, Martha, or of course... The Doctor.
Ah yes, the Doctor. He was still... a headache as far as Mirajane was concerned. Rose's feelings for him were always a giant mess, whenever she tried to even be nice to him it ended poorly, and from what she'd seen he seemed to have an egotistical god complex about the size of the universe he'd saved as many times as his friends say he has. Which she supposed if you save the universe that many times nearly anyone would have an ego problem... but not ever incarnation of him did. The oldest of them certainly did, but the younger two were... well one of them was rather ridiculous and hard to take seriously, and the other just seemed... sad.
He reminded her so much of Zeref it was more than a little frightening. She'd seen firsthand what Zeref was capable of, saw him almost destroy the world to start a new one... yet in many ways the Doctor was better and worse. They both shouldered impossibly difficult regrets, they both had lived for hundreds or thousands of years, and they both did the best they could for the greater good. Somehow or another... Mirajane seemed to always befriend people who had romantic complications with people like this. Perhaps it was best not to dwell on it, she could just start sweeping up the floors now that the bar stools and chairs were up. She was fairly used to maintaining the bar entirely by herself at home, but that was nearly a full time job in and of itself. At least now she had a little more free time with Jack taking half of that duty for her.
So Mirajane is just absently humming as she sweeps, not really expecting any visitors at this hour, but a visitor was indeed at the door. Mirajane blinked when she heard a knock at the door, and made her way over to unlock the door and peek outside. "I'm sorry the bar is clo-Doctor? What are you doing here so late?" Yes, she saw none other than the doctor himself outside her door... not the old one or the ridiculous one, but the one she seemed to have almost more difficulty with. She shrugged, opening the door wider and motioning with her arm.
"You're welcome to come in if you like. I won't serve you any alcohol, but if you want something else or to just talk I'm still closing up for another half hour or so." She was almost always willing to be polite and civil, even with people she didn't really like. In this case the Doctor was also a friend of a great many of her friends, so he still got the special treatment she'd give a friend... but she really wasn't terribly fond of him.

To be honest, he is still trying to get his sleep cycle back on track. After learning to cope with sleeping and then being a werewolf for nearly a month and sleeping more during the day and being out all night.
"Don't suppose you have something that would help someone sleep?"
Not good at being on time you say?
"Well a banana milkshake probably isn't the best thing in the world for helping you sleep. From my experience all that sugar can keep you pretty wired." Although perhaps that was just with humans... then again he didn't seem to hold his liquor all that well either.
"I actually do know how to use some sleeping magic if you're desperate. You'll go out like a light, so it's usually best to only use it in emergencies and I'm not sure if you're squeamish when it comes to magic or not. Then again I doubt you'd want to nap in the Fairy Tail guild hall, and I don't know if you'd want me in your home. Maybe you can find someone who's willing to carry your sleeping self home if you wanted." So many hypotheticals for something that was just an offhand remark rather than a super serious concern.
