[It's extremely late and Arro is up high, like very high, and the wind is whipping all around him. He's probably sitting outside his apartment, and it may be best to not ask details since he lives at Skyloft in Nova City.]
Dear me, what a fruitful discussion, don't you think? Usually when I see anything having to do with Anonymous culture I expect little, but my; we've touched on existentialism, the theories of a soul... and of course~ Topics of a slight more base nature.
I certainly could do with another retouching on humanity, as you might recall my last entry had to do with that. Sadly I was forced into a rather abrupt vacation and by the time I returned; it seemed far too late to touch upon it again. My apologies as I was enjoying some of the feedback.
Now though; in addition to that, I might ask some of the mechanical life here just a simple question. What makes you, personally, feel alive? I did not participate in the rather...energetic discussion on the Anon post, but I am an advocate of mechanical beings having the same vital substance that a mortal does. Perhaps not all, but all of the few I have seen here.

video;
The presence and optimal functioning of my artificial Spiria enables me a consciousness similar to those of humans. It is what makes me "alive."
[However, he missed the point of the question.]
video;
You say "artificial", would I be incorrect in assuming that natural Spiria exist? What is their purpose?
video;
The Spiria is a representation of a person's heart and emotions.
[Which comes into question as to why Kunzite has one, but is cold, logical and monotonous.]
video;
[Hold that thought, Kunzite. While it is important to question that; you've literally given Arro an example of an artificial soul. While that might sound degrading to call it artificial, it adds great substance to the pro "soul for robots" argument. He's actually furiously writing notes on it now.]
A maze you say. That refers a bit to the nature of a person's heart, I think. Most like to guard their truest self--
Hold please. You say that you have one, but I would expect a bit more inflection from you.
video;
The artificial Spiria synthesized within mechanoids, or even artwork itself, is not perfect and, therefore, inferior to naturally occurring Spiria in humans.
However, Spiria, by nature, can be nurtured with thoughts and actions that are "Lawfully Good" as well as building companionships and other relationships. In theory, a mechanoid like myself is capable of developing a Spiria similar to those in humans.
video;
Though now you make me curious, Lawfully Good does sound rather ambiguous in the end...It does sound worth it to develop this Spiria of yours though.
Re: video;
As a Jack-class mechanoid, one of my primary functions is the defense of my master.
[Who is not present, so he is pretty much at a loss.]

But I guess I can't really know if I have done that or not. But I don't think what I am is any lesser than what humans have. It's all I've ever known, you know? Free will, not being bound by my programming, it's not something I have any perspective for.

Truly? Humans are quite the same. They use laws, morals, etc.
to define what they do. While it is a choice in a manner, like you they hold to them quite sternly.
You've given me an interesting perspective for my studies, and I agree with you, I do not think what you've achieved is lesser than a human.

Man, you're one of the first people to really give me credit like that.
