Hey everyone!

[Demyx sounds somewhat less enthusiastic than usual, but still polite enough.]

Are you having a party this holiday season? I know all the Christmas songs - and if I don't know yours, I can learn it by ear!

Book me now for parties, gatherings, whatever!

[He hates Christmas so much, but hey, have to make a living.]

[There's also no mention as to why Demyx has been laying low as of late.]

You play an instrument?! What kind? What do you play? Are you any good?

This is a sitar, and this is what it sounds like. [He's still playing.]

Mostly I play whatever I'm thinking about, composing as I go. I can play classical pieces, and Christmas songs, songs I picked up in my travels. [So, Disney songs.]

I've been playing for at least a decade. Maybe even coming up on twelve years. I would be considered good, yes.

That is so cool! I like how it sounds.

[Now she's getting comfortable on the bed since the pain in her toe is subsiding.]

Twelve years?! Wow, that's like, more than half of my life!

I love Christmas music! And I would love to sing for you- I mean, if you play anywhere?

It's more than half my life too. I think....wait.

[Yes, he is counting on his fingers.]

Yeah! Just more than half my life.

[He tilts his head a little.]

Well I guess I'll offer it to anyone who wants to hire me.

If you want, I'll even sing for free as long as it gets my name out there. So if you get hired, I can tag along, and you can keep all the earnings.

[She smiles.]

I'm not going to take someone's hard earned money.

Uh, well so far I haven't been hired, but I'll let you know if you want.

Absolutely! Keep me updated! I can sing all of the classic carols and even some newer pop Christmas songs. What do you know how to play?

Anything I've heard. Santa has Christmas songs on a loop in his workshop so I've heard, what I think, is most of them. If not, I can learn it from someone singing it to me.

Oh? I don't mind practicing with you if you're not busy? I know I lot of newer songs that would be hits at parties.

Sorry, I'm not really going to spend time playing Christmas music if I don't have to.

[He smiles and shrugs a little.]

I can sing non-Christmas music too?

It's fine, really. It's just a thing that happens every year and I thought since it's my job I should offer my services.

[He smiles.]

Outside of Christmas songs, most of what I know is classical and what things I've heard traveling. I probably don't know your music yet.

Well YOU are in luck, because I happen to work at the music store! You should stop in when I'm working and I can show you some of the hottest new artists where I'm from!

If you don't mind taking turns on the stage or teaming up for duets, I think it'd be great to have a variety of live music at the mega holiday party on the 15th!

Uh...I'll have to check into the current rates to hire performers and run it against my budget. I was kind of hoping you'd do it as a favor!

[She clasps her hands together and puts on her sweetest smile. If he won't do it for Santa, will he do it for Minako? :D :D :D]

[His smile doesn't waver, but he shakes his head.]

[Who hates Christmas? She stares at him for a moment.]

But you'll probably have to play Christmas songs. You know that, right? What are your rates anyway?

That's the idea. I get paid and I can play it.

[He hums a little bit, what's a good rate?]

[He usually works for tips.]

[That's actually not too terrible. It's still putting another dent in her budget for an event that isn't going to help the arcade profit, but the point is for people to have fun, and even musicians need to eat.]

Just around Genessia, street corners and stuff. Nothing regular. I make my own schedule.

If I know when you're performing, I'd like to watch.

This week I'm playing out by the bakery. A lot of holiday songs to delight everyone, in the afternoons.

Shinjiro's bakery.

[He doesn't know if he's allowed to and doesn't care.]

[ She thinks that's the name of her partner there. ]

[Neal smiles at the familiar boy on the screen.]

Oh man, well, everything I heard in Christmas Town, so...I assume Santa knows most, if not all the Christmas songs. They play on a loop in his workshop.

[Don't ask what he was doing there.]

Can't say I've ever met the man.

[Which says something because Neal has met a lot of people.]

I wasn't sure if you knew all those church songs too. They aren't exactly the sort of songs that I think would be in Santa's workshop. [Unless Santa listens to Emmanuel, which Neal is wildly curious about.]

He's a jerk. Don't bother. He wouldn't give me any presents. [He's been a bad boy.]

[He drops his head a little, ugh, church songs.]

There's not a ton of non-secular songs, and the one I'm playing is religious. I know some hymns too, if that's more your speed, but..it's possible I don't know everything.

Maybe Santa just picks out his favourites.

[Neal flashes him a brief smile.]

I don't think Santa is supposed to have favorites.

That's not the point!

[Yes, yes it is, but he can't help it.]

Then he probably had most of the songs playing on a loop. Neverending Christmas songs. After a few hours it gets old.

So how long can you plan Christmas songs? Since you're advertising?

I'll play them for as long as people hire me to.

[So on demand only, pretty much.]

What if your own music starts to annoy you?

[Neal is a fan of thinking ahead.]

It will, I'm not a fan of Christmas. But, work is work. I've done worse things under orders than be just a bit annoyed of playing the same songs over and over again.

I'd like to hear it though I don't have anywhere for you to play.

[He doesn't own the bar he works at.]
