5th Campaign [Action] The important thing now, is that you ask me what kind of car I have
Nova City
It's a bustling city at this time of day, though it always seems on the busier side- Just quieter sounding as it comes toward evening.
Satsuki Kiryuin has a lot on her mind right now; quite a lot, and she'd been doing a lot of back and forth with Wily trying to come to agreement about how to proceed in the next stages of their school proposition. Of course she only puts up with it because it's his money- And he isn't really so difficult to work with, but his ego is truly something else.
But then there are the more awkward situations; such as having stumbled upon Gamagori's dream. She's honestly not really certain what part of it was a nightmare, per se, but what she did gather from it was that he was 'in need' of a vehicle. This brings us to today, where the duo are headed to 'Skulls and Bones X-Tra Large Vehicular Sales' run by dealers strolling around in lite-up, full-body stockings and masks patterned as skeletons wearing red ties.
It's rather surreal. But it's the only place with large vehicles that fit within' their budget. Satsuki's never actually shopped for a vehicle before, though, so isn't entirely certain where to start upon stepping inside the four floor, futuristic structure- there are multiple vehicles from cars to jeeps to trucks, the wheeled ones on the lower floors and the flying ones on the upper. It's designed to look like a fancy parking lot, and there is a test drive track upon the roof.
"Hm. I suppose we start looking around on our own."

But you can never be too careful. So there might be a stealth based Robot Master keeping an eye on her and Gamagori in the shadows.
no subject
He'd opted to stay on the ground floor, his gaze sweeping over the cars from his much higher vantage point. "I appreciate this, Satsuki-sama. When you.... saw... that, I wasn't sure what you would think. I assure you, there was no disrespect meant."
no subject
Quite embarrassing. But there's work to be done. She doesn't seem to be privvy of Wily's monitering techniques, but she's certain there are a number of eyes on her right whenever she leaves Wily Tower.
"None taken," she replies, then attempts to brush it off, "More importantly, I had failed to mention that your position in the Disciplinary Commitee is not a paying one. While I'm certain that is of little importance to you, I believe you should consider obtaining part-time work."
no subject
While spying was more Inumuta's forte, Gamagori had his own informants on the Disciplinary Committee, and had been aware of the bot trailing them. However, as they were not going to discuss anything sensitive, he didn't feel the need to call it out to anyone.
He nods, pausing to inspect one of the cars. It wasn't his preference, but it would be suitable if nothing better came along. "I understand. I had hoped that I could provide some sort of taxi service once I acquired transportation. Of course, I would not place any other potential customer over serving you, Satsuki-sama."
no subject
That said, his interest in a cab service is one she didn't see coming- at least not as a choice of profession. That's both an interesting and very fitting idea in her opinion.
An amused huff passes her lips. "Of course." she agrees, "I must admit, I'm quite impressed by your decision. If you need any maps for layout study, I believe I could procure some for you."
no subject
"If I am to serve as your chauffeur upon our return to our own world, I need to have as much practice as possible. While I appreciate the offer, this will not be necessary. I've been studying the layout of the streets and committing it to memory during my off time."
He straightens up to look out over the selection once more when something catches his eye. He pauses, and inspects from a distance, a grin forming on his face.
"Ah. I found the perfect car." He grins as he begins to make his way toward it. "The only car noble enough to act as your personal transportation, Satsuki-sama. A 1959 Cadillac Eldorado."
It was red, but he could change that easily enough.
no subject
"Agreed. Speaking of such, should this one find herself in need of your driving service, I will cover her fare." Which is a really roundabout way of saying 'free'. She holds up a picture of a red-head, teenage girl that's younger than Satsuki- written at the bottom is the name 'Mitsuru Kirijo'. "I will be certain to introduce you to her properly next time we should meet, but I've been keeping an eye on her for a while- She's made an astounding first impression with me."
At's about that time the car that catches the large man's eyes is decided upon and she looks at it with her usual rather flat expression. "Perfect, is it?" she murmurs aloud as she takes a look at the vehicle from the side, then the back.
What catches her attention the most are the tailfins; she could most certainly relate to that, and it's enough to bring an amused smirk to her features. ".. I agree completely. Fantastic eye, Gamagori."
no subject
"We will be taking this one," he barks at the man, more of an order than anything.
no subject
He manages to convey blinking behind the mask, first looking to the duo, to the vehicle, then back again. ".. Oh... Oh, very good, excellent taste, an eye for the real classics you two have!" he chirps as he manages to get to his feet, dusts, off his backside, then draws forth a set of shiny, silver keys. "Though.. Are you certain you don't wish to take it for a test drive first? While I have nooo problem with your tastes, you may come to find that this beauty actually doesn't handle quite as well as our latest 2055 Bilkford Z."
no subject
He snatches the keys from the man, and moves to the driver's seat of the car, taking a moment to adjust the seat as far back as possible to accommodate his build before sitting. Once in the car, he starts it up, his grin returning as the engine settles into a hum.
"Yes. This will do nicely. We will take it."
no subject
"... Satsuki?" the dealer asks as he turns his head to take a closer look.. Then lurches back in shock shortly after, "O- Oh! Ah, of course! Right, yes, noble spirit and power, agreed, agreed!" he sputters, his voice cracks in the middle of his sentence.
Well, this is a big deal. No, this is a huge deal! The publicity! Sales will go through the roof! He'll get a raise!
Once all of the boring stuff is out of the way, (including Satsuki agreeing to a promotional deal), Gamagori is free to drive the vehicle out of the dealership.
"Hmn.. That was relatively painless." she muses aloud, then a slight smile forms as she looks to Ira from the corners of her eyes, "Well done, Gamagori. I suppose this calls for a Victory drive?"
no subject
Like a good butler-in-training, Gama will gladly step
overaround to the passenger side of the car and open the door for her, making sure she was comfortable once she got seated. A moment or two later, they were on the road, turning heads. ...Though more were just marveling at the spectacle that was Gama's head sticking up far past the windshield."What do you think of the color?" he asked as they stopped for a stoplight.
no subject
It's a lot more comfortable than she had expected, which is another plus, not to mention once the vehicle is in motion, her hair waves back perhaps a little too perfectly.
Being on the road doesn't appear to have any particular effect on her, her expression barely shifts for the most part- it's a little strange driving without a particular destination in mind.
That said, Gamagori looks absolutely ecstatic and she occassionally glances to him from the corners of her eyes; she hadn't seen him this joyous in quite some time. Though the question catches her by surprise, and she turns her head.]
Red? It is not a color I would expect you to be content with. I assume you have something else in mind?
no subject
I was thinking more pink, with the Honnouji Academy emblem on the hood. It would make the car instantly visible, as well as making it clear just where my loyalties lie.
[Gamagori navigates the traffic with relative ease, taking a bit of a scenic tour of Nova City. To be honest though, he could drive like this for hours. Days, with Satsuki's company.]
no subject
[She approves; the idea of the academy logo being on it is a particularly nice touch; not for sentimental value, per say, but as a reminder. Not that she plans to forget about home anytime soon, but still.
There's a moment of silence, then.]
You know, when I announced the school project.. The first person I had expected to respond was Ryuko.
no subject
Yes... I had thought the same. I've paid as close attention to the network as possible in case she had some kind of plan, but...
[Rebellious or not, she was still a student of Honnouji Academy, and an essential part of Satsuki's plans. If they were to stand before a common enemy, Ryuko would need to master her kamui...]
Do you suppose she's returned to our world?
no subject
That seems the most likely answer..
Of course that does leave the annoying mystery of how she managed that. It is certain it was not done on purpose, there is no way she would willing leave knowing that I am here after all.
[There must be a clue in there somewhere but she can't possibly perceive it with so little information. Perhaps she should pay Rei another visit soon.]
.. I suppose it is for the better.
no subject
If I am speaking out of turn, I apologize and will willingly submit to whatever punishment you deem necessary but...
[There's a pause again, pulling the car to the side of the road and eventually stopping.]
You're worried about her, aren't you? And the others as well. I may not know you as well or as long as Nonon does... but I've known you longer than any of my other friends.
...There is a place here in Genessia that caters exclusively to "us"... those of us brought here from other worlds. They claim to be able to show us what happens in our own worlds... however the process takes a week.
If you wish, I would gladly sacrifice a week to ascertain the situation at home. Just give the word, Satsuki-sama.
no subject
It is useless for me to linger on matters that I have no control over. But I confess the lack of information does.. Get to me, at times.
[That said, Satsuki can't hide her surprise about this new bit of information. That is incredibly useful; and would be something she would like to look into herself, but she most certainly does not have an entire week to burn.
She does trust Ira to do well, it will have to take place over her own curiosity.]
I see.. Then I am counting on you, Gamagori, and look forward to an extensive report.
[It had better be no more than a week. If she ends up having to go look for you, big man, she's going to be extremely annoyed.]
no subject
I understand. I will begin making the arrangements immediately. If nothing else, I am eager to see how the Naturals Election unfolds.
no subject
[A light chuckle passes her lips as she crosses her arms and closes her eyes. Her grin following couldn't be more smug, but falls neutral after a few seconds.
However, her eyes aren't going to open again, ideally, for another half hour. The moment they closed she conked out.]
