[so this has gotta be some sorta palace, right?! there's no goddamn way that he just suddenly ended up in some totally random island or wherever this was! ryuji had listened to the girl on the hologram, he read the pamphlets, he even walked through the town! but all he was getting from all of this is that this was definitely a palace he had wandered into.
but why wasn't he changing clothes? maybe whoever owned this palace didn't think of him as a threat yet? huh.... either way! he now figured it would be best to talk to whoever is here on the weirdo device he was given.]

Yes! You really can just settle in and treat this place like a new home. Although if you're still in school, there are alottments set up to fund your education so you do not have to jump straight to a job you hate if you'd prefer instead.

This place has a lot of weird set ups just to try and make us live here. Are people actually happy?

Worlds and planets all develop their own different dominant species and cultures and technology, even if they don't travel off them. But in this place you can meet a lot of different people from different worlds, and sometimes even different Earths, if that's where you're from.
Time won't flow beyond your timeline at home, I have no idea why not, not even the Doctors have figured it out I think, my guess would be some sort of localized effect exclusive to each person? [Shakes head!] Anyway. So you needn't worried about family missing you. Although it can get a bit more confusing when they show up.
