What's all this business about 'running for office'? Is this how the different islands choose their... chief, so to speak?

[ Cue slimy-looking bunny girl tilting her head in curiosity at the scruffy looking kid and his obvious insults at the adults. Not that she believes or doubts him, but coming from a small island didn't do her much wonders in worldly knowledge. ]
