Oh boy, it's time for politics again, and with yours truly being a Nova City Guardian I guess I should announce whether or not I'm running in this election!

So.

I'm running in this election. Garrus too, we're keeping the whole two-heads-are-better philosophy alive. He's not here right now, but hey, that's the whole idea, right? I can answer questions without him.

Soooo... ask me Guardian-y things. Or wait for the debate. Whatever.

...And since I'm on the topic, why co-guardians? Were you guys friends?

I'll answer you in reverse order. Me and Garrus were deputies that were picked by the last guardian when she stepped down - it was a pretty sudden transition, so she figured the two of us would be able to handle it together instead of shoving it all on one person. It works pretty well. We can handle more at once, and there's not the risk of one person going full dictator on the other's watch. Lots of people worry about Guardians going power crazy.

As far as why I want in on this whole operation, to be honest I didn't for a while. Seemed like a lot of work I'd rather let someone else do, but I guess I know what it's like to not have anyone looking out for me. As a guardian I can make sure no one slips through the cracks.

Plus, the pay is decent.

Has that happened before? Guardians going power crazy.

[He does like the teamwork approach so far, especially since human + alien = pretty damn good team from past experiences. The part about the pay gets him to crack a smirk. Honesty is good when it comes to politics. So is informality.]

Okay. What do you think about the socio-economic status of non- and partially-organic lifeforms and how do you think the City Guardian's office can work in tandem with the mayor's office to alter that situation toward a better, safer Nova City?
