[When the feed starts up, the only thing visible is a black hooded figure's head and a still-ajar door. Were it not for him speaking up, it would have been hard to tell exactly who it was. Even then, he doesn't offer a name - only a sigh of annoyance before he speaks.]
You know, for a place that tries to be so accomodating, it sure does leave a few tripping hazards.
[He temporarily tries to angle the camera to show what it was that tripped him coming in - a medium-sized package all wrapped in red paper, just inside one of the starter apartments - but considering his own little... handicap, only a corner is seen.]
I was wondering, though - is there an audio version of the reading material? While the girl's voice was helpful, I... can't read them.
[Not through the blindfold wrapped around his eyes, and he didn't want to remove it for his own personal reasons. Not that anyone could see it with his hood up in the first place, or any of his facial features beyond silver hair that escaped its confines in the tumble that was likely heard throughout the entire apartment complex with how thin the walls are.]
...Was hard enough finding my way here.
[The feed ends after a few seconds of fumbling for where the off button ought to be.]

[Audio - Private]
At least there's that.
[You have one semi-benevolent god in your world, dude? He's impressed because he hasn't met one yet.]
[Audio - Private]
[He shudders with a displeased noise.]
She tried to capture me!
[Audio - Private]
[IF ONLY PROMPTO COULD SEE THE WAY HIS EYEBROW ROSE TOWARD HIS HAIRLINE.]
What was that all about?
[Audio - Private]
She totally got her tail around me and just yanked me away and I was sure I was gonna die!
[Spoiler: he didn't.]
[Audio - Private]
Going to stare at his phone for a second.
Well, "stare" - more like blink unseeingly towards it under the cloth over his eyes, but.
Congratulations. That mental image is going to be stuck in his head for a while now.]
Hate to break it to you, but sounds like you didn't.
[Deflecting the brain break with snark? Check.]
And I thought some Heartless breeds were weird...
[Audio - Private]
Well I know I didn't, but it was really freaky!
[Audio - Private]
[Though now that he thinks about it... Ergh, Parasite Cage.]
'Least it wasn't a fleshy blob that likes trapping things and people inside it.
[Audio - Private]
[Ew, that sounds horrifying, and he's seen some things.]
[Audio - Private]
[That would be because it is horrifying, Prompto - and he doesn't even say what Parasite Cage and all heartless do to feed and multiply.]
I'd draw a picture, but, it'd look like chicken scratch even if I tried before.
[Audio - Private]
[He's thinking of something else.]
Oh it's fine, I really don't think I need to see it!
[Audio - Private]
[It's okay, Prompto. So is he.]
Good, because the only thing I've ever managed to decently draw is a chocobo. When I was seven.
[Audio - Private]
Wait, you can draw chocobos?!
[Audio - Private]
[Meaning: he hasn't tried in years. Plus he's pretty sure someone he knows would wipe the floor with him in drawing skills.
.....................................
But dang, if he doesn't wanna try now.]
... One sec.
[The next few minutes all Prompto can likely hear is him rummaging through the starter apartment he was given, looking for a pad of paper and a pencil.]
A friend... Naminé would do better, but-
[Aha. Found it! Don't mind the sound of scribbling for another few minutes and a whole lot of second guessing because he knows the first two are probably terrible. Almost as bad as the one he crossed out on the islands.
Eventually, he just sends a photo. There was an attempt and he has NO IDEA how well he did, if he did at all.]
[Audio - Private]
Wow, that's amazing! I can't really draw at all. [He laughs.]
It looks just like a chocobo!
[Audio - Private]
I'll... take your word on it.
[He is so, so glad this is only audio. Not even the blindfold would be able to hide the look on his face.]
[Audio - Private]
[A beat.]
If it makes you feel better, your picture of your picture could use work. [His tone is all teasing.]
[Audio - Private]
[Mostly because he's too busy trying to keep that whole 'dependable fighter' thing going. And that teasing is only making it worse.]
[Audio - Private]
What kind of hobbies do you have then? Has to be something! Arcade games?
[Audio - Private]
Also what's arcade games.]Racing. Used to jet ski and sail, but... it's been a while.
[Island kid, through and through.]
[Audio - Private]
[Also he'd had no friends, minor details.]
Jet ski and sailing? Never tried them.
[City kid who's landlocked.]
[Audio - Private]
[The running, not the other two. Considering his current lack of sight.]
[Audio - Private]
Yeah, you wanna race? I can try!
[Audio - Private]
Why not? Running's always better when there's someone to goad you on, anyway.
[Audio - Private]
It's a date sometime!
