[sidon was excited, that much was certain. what was uncertain was just what they would do on this so called date. neither of them really knew the other one, so sidon figured that this would simply be a good way for them to get to know one another. he did want to know, however, why she had decided to vote for him after all.

...ah, no matter, they will find out in due time. onward now!

sidon had sent her a message, telling her that they were to meet in the square of genessia, heart of the place! he wanted for them to decide where to go from that, and he mostly wanted her to choose. she said she never got to choose where she was from, and he definitely wanted to change that for her. so, as he stood there, tall as ever, he waited for her. he thought of buying her flowers, perhaps, but then again they were going to wander about, he wasn't going to get her something she couldn't put down.

whenever belle does arrive, sidon will he overly happy to see her.]

[Belle smiles when she sees his text. She has been fretting over what to do, unsure what's conventional on 'dates'. From what she's read, there are several options though they seem to differentiate over first dates, second, third... and so on. While suggesting levels of intimacy that Belle isn't sure is appropriate without being married to someone. She realizes that there is a difference in timelines but her principles have been bread into her and aren't likely to change.

From everything she's learned, she is very nervous by the time that she leaves her home to meet Sidon.

Belle is wearing her red winter dress with the rose colored cloak pulled over her thin shoulders. Her brown hair is pulled back with thin wisps of loose strands framing the rosy red of her cheeks. She doesn't know if Sidon has anything planned, so, just in case, she wrote a list of things that they could do.

When she meets him, she smiles, pulling her hood down to properly look up at Sidon.]

I hope I'm not too late.

Belle! Of course you're not late! I merely arrived far too early I'm afraid. Now then-

[sidon straightens up, grins at her, and then looks down at her form.] You have dressed accordingly, I see! Amazing, you look stunning. Now... I am rather curious, so is it too bold if I ask why you had decided to bid on me, of all people?

[there were so many other choices!]

[Belle laughs softly, looking away a little shyly. Bidding on people isn't something that she wants to get into the habit of but she had wanted to win this date with Sidon.]

Well. I wanted to get to know you and my understand is that dates are for that.

[The implication is left unsaid and it isn't clear if Belle truly understands or not. It's true that Sidon is a fish but he's also very sweet and had spoken to her before the bidding began.]

I hope that's alright.

[Belle will feel awful if she finds out that he'd been hoping for someone else to bid on him.]

Oh, is that so? That really is the best way to get to know me, yes of course! I am but an open book, you may ask me anything on this date.

[he grinned down at her, nodding. nope this is good! he wanted to make friends after all.]

[Belle smiles a little bashfully.]

Thank you very much, for both offering to answer my inquiries and accepting my date.

[He could have easily said no.]

I read a few books on the subjects of dates. I've been told that a movie and dinner is very common though I don't know very much about movies and I don't think they're very good for talking. I was hoping for a dinner and a walk around Fayren? I haven't been able to see much of that area and I've been told it's lovely.

Yes, of course that sounds wonderful! I'm not very accustomed to these dates myself, I simply know a thing or two about wanting to get to know the other individual.

[he grinned down at her! he started to walk, gesturing for her to follow him.]

And just what are these movies?

[Belle's sweet smile brightens.]

Movies are amazing. I can show you at another time. They're moving pictures on a screen with actors that tell stories.

[There is no hiding the awe in her voice.]

Do you have any food preferences? I had selected a place but I don't know if it will be to your liking.

Mmm... Zora people typically feast on different kinds of fish. I mostly eat raw fish- but I'm curious to try other foods!

I've never had raw fish before.

[She admits with a small shy smile.]

The place I had found sells roasts and stews. I do believe they have a seafood stew with clams and other shellfish though I'm not sure. This will be the first time I'm going there. Is that alright?

You should try it! I had heard some humans eat it.

Ah, a stew?! I would love to dig in and taste it! Now you have me excited.

[Belle loves trying new things though she'll have to find a place that serves raw fish first.

Her smile widens when he seems thrilled at the idea. Stew is perfect on cold days and she hadn't known of Sidon had any dietary requirements that she was unaware of.] We'll go directly then.

Would you tell me a bit about your kingdom? You mentioned that you were a prince but, I admit, I've never met anyone like you.

Ah, yes of course.

[sidon nodded, thinking to himself. it was all so natural for him, the differing races in hyrule, but was it really so unlikely to others? probably.]

Hyrule is... extensive, massive really. There are several differing sections to it, and the one that my father is the king of is Zora's Domain. It is where others, exactly like me, are home to. We are the Zora people, and yes I understand we have been compared to fish. We are not exactly like them, we differ in a lot of cases.

But there are other sections of the kingdom, and the entirety of Hyrule is ruled by the King of Hyrule. At least... it was, before Calamity Ganon came and changed all that.

[Belle listens intently, nodding her head at the appropriate intervals to silently let Sidon know that she's listening.]

I see. I admit, I thought of a fish when I had first met you but after speaking to you I can't see it that way. I've met many races here and while they're all different, they're similarities there too. [It's something that Belle finds very interesting.]

I want to ask about the Calamity Ganon but I have another question first.

Do you know how to swim?

[sure sure, he will definitely talk about ganon when she asks about it, but her other question... well, it catches him off guard.]

Pardon? Truly? [sidon almost burst out laughing!] Haha Belle! But of course I can swim! To a Zora, the water is just the same as the air. I am far more unstoppable in the water even!

[Belle smiles shyly.]

I admit, I don't know how to swim. There isn't any large body of water near my town for me to have learned. [It's also not the sort of thing that she'd used to doing for fun.]

It sounds like it might be worth trying. Do you love to swim?

Oh! I could always teach you some day if you would like!

[he grinned down at her!!] I love it more than anything! I am much faster and much more agile in the water.

I would like that very much.

[Belle smiles and nods her head in a brisk motion. She truly does love to learn.]

It sounds fantastic.

[Within a few more minutes they near the restaurant that Belle had been planning to take him. Outside is a small menu board of stews that they are currently serving.] This is the place.

Excellent! It looks fantastic!

[sidon grinned big! he turned to her, looking absolutely delighted.] Let us go inside!
