New Years Pool Party!
Who: Close friends or family of Sun and Weiss
What: New Years Pool Party! At 11:30 they'll go outside and ready fireworks to countdown.
Where: In their indoor, heated pool at their house.
When: 8pm until midnight.
Warnings: None, will add if necessary.
Welcome to the Sunny House Indoor Pool! It's very heated, and unlike its normally very neat state, it's decorated with blue and gold confetti everywhere and the entire ceiling is filled with sky blue balloons, except for a single sun balloon. 2018 goofy glasses are provided for all guests, along with a little grab bag of party favors (candy, those party blower things- though Weiss will take it away if you're being obnoxious with it, sparklers for later). There's a large bowl of lemonade and a bunch of food set out on the table- lots of fruit, chips and salsa, baked chickens (they would've barbecued, but since it's snowing outside Weiss elected to bake chicken), crab and cream cheese rangoons, a leafy green salad, and cupcakes. There is music playing (it's a mixed station).
If you go further inside, there are video games set up in the living room and Char the Charizard is chilling out in front of the heater vent. There are also two dogs, Sleet and Frost wandering around and trying to beg for food whenever Weiss isn't looking. (They're perfectly behaved around her.) There's a little rope blocking off the hall to the bedrooms tyvm. Out of consideration for some of their friends, there is no alcohol set out but there are bottles of sparkling cider to pop instead if you feel the need. (The good stuff is locked away, sorry!) There are pool accessories like noodles and balls around, too, so have fun!
There are a number of Pokemon wandering around the house, and there is an icier party outside with Pokemon like Articuno, Froslass, Amaura, Smoochum, and Lapras are outside if you want to risk the cold to have fun making snow angels or sculptures.

Jaune ☽☽ Open
[Jaune's chosen a plain black pair of swimming trunks for the pool, and spends a lot of his time...swimming in it. His gauntlet is waterproof for a reason, and he might splash your character to catch their attention before using the water dust to propel him away before they can fight back. When he's not being a nuisance about that, he's doing exactly what he was warned not to with the party blowers. He keeps blowing into it. Over and over.
You can't escape it.
He'll probably calm down with the actual sparklers come out though, and he might be trying more than once to find them himself. Otherwise he's stuffing his face until he heads further inside to go do what he's good at: Video games.]
Living Room
[When he's not fawning over the dogs and pokemon, Jaune has pretty much glued himself to the gaming system and might be...surprisingly emotional about it if you haven't watched him before.]

even so, robin crossed her arms behind him, her eyes narrowing. she saw a way to help him.]
Stay calm Jaune, you know what you should be doing right now. Hide behind that boulder, give yourself time to think. Even if it sees you, you will come out of this.

[But while he panics, part of him hears and realizes her advice. His character scrambles to hide behind the boulder while Jaune bites his lip and hums that everything is fine.]

robin just takes in a deep breath, and by the gods she would encourage jaune to do so as well if he would listen to her. she raised her voice a little, trying to get him to calm down.]

OTA!
One thing that is notable is that Weiss has decidedly more definition in her muscles than she used to, in particular her back and arm muscles. (She's been learning to rock climb expertly so she can go climbing with Sun, it was bound to happen!) The bikini decidedly shows it off. You can find Weiss anywhere around the party/house, really, or...
A. Snow Angel
At a certain point, Weiss is outside with the Pokemon playing in the snow and throwing snowballs around. One would think she would be cold without anything covering her legs, but she's Weiss. She's used to the cold!
B. Warming Up
...For a little while, anyway. After a while, Weiss comes back in to sit on one of the poolside chairs with the electric blanket that Yang gave her for Christmas, just warming up and trying not to get one of the cupcakes on the blanket while she nibbles it. Mmm.
C. Pool
Swimming? Weiss has a particular game she wants to play, so if she can get at least three or more others to engage, there's going to be a game of pool chicken going on.
D. Fireworks
It's time for fireworks! Weiss is back in her coat and is outside on the porch, Char having come out to breathe a gentle fire on the snow outside to clear it out for people so she can set out the fireworks. She's not worried about anything catching fire since it's all wet from the melted snow. Once they're up, she's got a rainbow of colors rather than just the blue and white people are probably expecting. Of course, she'll happily let everyone take turns lighting fireworks. ]
B
[Yang.]
[Which is why, upon seeing that Weiss has come back in from the snow and is thawing out, Yang sits next to her and nudges right up shoulder to shoulder, a living space heater that makes her a treasure during the winter season. She's got a cupcake too, a bite already clearly marked. And she's thumbing the small bit of icing off the tip of her nose.]
These are super cute. Did you make all the food yourself?

I bought the rangoons from the Chinese place down the street. I did bake the chicken and the cupcakes, though. [ And everything else was like.. ready to go, pretty much. ] I got better at cooking than I used to be in that dream world. I'm no expert, but I can handle myself in the kitchen.

[That's what Yang gets for eating before she arrived. She's still planning on at least trying a little of everything tonight, though.]
Makes me want to start practicing again too. My roommates aren't that good, so I'm sure they'll appreciate the free meals at the very least. Maybe I can learn not to overcook stuff like I usually do!
[She takes another bite and looks out at the others, who seem to be having a pretty good time. A little gathering like this is a nice change from all of the big parties.]

[ Her hands are freezing, so she presses one on his stomach. He's so funny about the cold, she has to tease him sometimes about it. ]

[Yang shows up with a slow cooker in her hands, containing a bunch of mini-sausage links swimming in a savory pineapple barbecue sauce, with a little box of toothpicks balanced on the lid. She's not dressed all that fancy, what with her baggy cargo pants and a loose, cozy olive green hoodie under her leather jacket. She shakes the snow out of her hair, thumps the clumps out of her boot treads, and steps inside with a broad smile.]
B. Pool(?)
[She's actually not sure how her mechanical arm will hold up in a swimming pool. She knows it's fine in regular water, but just in case, she's going to wait for Mercury's go ahead. She wore a swimsuit under her clothes, but for now, she's fine just hanging out at the side of the pool with her pants rolled up to the knees, just letting her legs idly kick back and forth.]
[...But if the water IS safe for her arm, no one with a pool noodle will go unchallenged to a mighty duel. Or even jousting if someone volunteers to carry her on their shoulders.]
C. Video Games
[OF COURSE SHE'S GOING TO PLAY! And she's damn competitive too, hunkered over the controller, thumbs shifting to hammer down button combinations. If it's a racing game, she actually kind of leans in the same direction as the car when it hugs a tight turn. She looks pretty into it. But in between matches, you bet she's petting the Charizard because she kind of loves that dragon.
D. Fireworks
[One would probably expect Yang to excitedly clamor for a chance to light off some of the bottle rockets and other explosive fireworks. But she's actually content just to perch herself on the porch railing, head tilted back, the colors flashing over her serene face and quiet, warm little smile. It's enough, just listening to everyone else be happy, watching them laugh and wave their sparklers around. It sparks a lot of good memories for her. Yang's breath ghosts from the curve of her mouth before she tugs the front of her hoodie up over the tip of her nose to keep her face warm.]
Robin. Open.
....but also because she refuses to leave her coat, she'll definitely be wrapping it around herself for the most part.]
Pool
[robin is mostly sitting off to the side, just watching everyone else. she would probably go into the water, but, it was still embarrassing to strip down and swim with everyone else. still- it might be fun to partake in certain activities...
robin spots a ball and she goes over to it, picking it up. she tosses it up into the air a few times, and then tries to volley it with her wrist. she's successful but one of the times it flies off and lands in the middle of the pool.]
...Drat. [now she'll have to go in and get it herself!! or someone else can help.]
Living room
[oh, a charizard! robin will just walk over to the heater, sitting a little ways away from char. this is nice, just sitting by the heat and looking over at a big dragon.]
Enjoying yourself big guy? [what a god pokemon! robin definitely misses her digimon she adopted before, dracomon. but this charizard is a good companion too!]
Pool
[Eager to help, Jaune dives into the pool to go for the ball. Once he reaches it, he punches it back her way...perhaps a little too hard. Sorry, he's used to watermelons.]
How come you're not swimming?

[....not swimming? oh, damn, right. she blushed a little, looking away from jaune.]
...Is it not difficult, running around in your small clothes? [seriously. but if he doesn't give the ball back, then she will definitely jump on in.]

Mayu Nozaki | Open
[ Mayu is just floating and relaxing. The noises and splashes around him don't have any effect. He's awake, but just barely.]
Outside
[After petting various Pokémon, Mayu makes some snow sculptures that resemble simplified cute animals. Bunnies are the most common.
He is so absorbed in his sculpting, that he makes no effort to dodge the snowballs thrown his way. Also, he's too lazy to dodge.]
Living Room
[ Mayu is playing a dating sim. He is incredibly bad at it. It's the type of game where the protagonist has stats. He puts all his points into strength. The protagonist does well in a sports mini-game but ultimately meets a bad end.
Some Pokémon are leaning against Mayu. ]
Can't move. They're comfortable.
