[Laying in bed, a full glass of wine, and a half a bottle next to it on her nightstand beside her can be seen depending on how she moves while she talks.]
I'm finally feeling better, and it's cold as balls outside. So... whatever, just to anyone that was [She looks away from the camera with a slight blush and almost forces herself to say the next word, before going back to her usual annoyed with the world bored look.] concerned, I'm not dead. I'm over that stupid flu, and I have food and booze. I'm not leaving this place for anything or anyone while it looks like this outside.
Have fun during the blizzard losers.
[As she turns off the video, it spans to the rest of the nightstand where she's grabbing her new Silence of the Lambs book and a jar of hazelnut spread with a spoon in it next to the bottle of wine. She's set.]

[meanwhile, he's stuck at the library.]
Were you of all people actually worried? [She scoffs and rolls her eyes.] I'm fine, and I have at least two other bottles of wine. Where are you at anyway? That doesn't look like the bakery.
[was she alright? he knew she was a bit of a huffy person to work with, but she was otherwise fine enough. the screen is black, and he's about to ask "... Arelen?" when she came back into view. she didn't look pleased.
...so par for the course, yup. Cloud proceeds to not mind her]
MmMm. [shakes his head] Doubt you'd get kicked in by some flu.
[wonder if that card got to her at least from a week ago...]
I'm in the library for now. Was returning some books when things got intense.
[Her look softened just a small bit, and she's looking through her door to the living room where the "get well soon" Christmas card he had given her was on the coffee table.]
I got that card by the way. [Oh look, that wine looks interesting. She takes a sip, and adds as she puts it back on her nightstand.]
Thanks for that. [She shrugged.] I didn't think so. The...world within the world I'm from- we don't really survive things like that. Whatever, it doesn't matter.
[Bored sigh.]
Too bad you're stuck there. Sure, you'll be entertained, but if the power goes out how are you supposed to read? Sucks to be you.
[all Cloud's got is coffee and tea, whatever's at the café. granted if the water pipes froze up... it was getting incredibly cold out, after all.]
Something like that would done you in usually?
[
"Too bad you're stuck there. Would be a shame if you had nowhere else to go and there wasn't someone's apartment door open."]Always wondered what it'd be like to read by candlelight... [a beat- he's serious] Besides, if there's trouble outside, I'll have to go help.
For the record, reading by candlelight strains your eyes and gives you one hell of a headache.
[Crap... that last line made her smile. She huffed as soon as she caught it, and stuck her nose in the air.]
Big freakin hero, aren't you? [Smirks work. She's going with that. Totally cool.]
if that was the case? he hoped she could keep it.]
Maybe I'll just get reading glasses...
[said more to himself than anything, the smile catches him by surprise. she always did have a thing for switching her expression on him at the drop of a hat. for some reason.]
Wouldn't call myself that. [but,] I just know there's something I can do.
[She reached and sipped her wine, getting comfortable again, her book casually setting on the side of her pillow.]
I was told that the past doesn't need to reflect the person you want to be today. You sound too unsure of yourself. Don't be an idiot. You want to help people with no ulterior motive? Then you're a freaking hero. Simple.
[her words come as a surprise to him. the past didn't reflect who he wanted to be today...
"Isn't it time you did the forgiving?"]
Hm...
[she's right though. something that he'd need to think about after this storm is over.]
Can't really find an argument for that.
Thanks for the concern you jerk.
[She reached for the book next to her and showed it to the camera.]
I got the gifts by the way. Thanks... did you- get mine?
Oh you're welcome. [He grins, being a brat on purpose.]
Yeah, I did. Thanks Arelen!
[Oh good, she's reading his book.]
I thought you'd like that, it looked creepy.
I meant to contact you for the hot chocolate, but then the blizzard started, and I'm not about to go out in this crap.
[There's a small look of concern.]
You're not being an idiot and outside anywhere, right? I mean, you're at home, right? Or do I need to brave the storm and get your moronic ass somewhere safe?
Nah, I'm at home. You think Cassian would let me go out in a blizzard?

[Such good cheer.]
no subject
no subject
[This will never not be funny to him.]
video;
[Krista was holding a glass of some kind of drink.]
I am having much fun. I'm drinking cocktails during it. Well at least at night anyway.
