[If anything- Snow was fun so the little vampire wanted to go play with it. So bundling herself up to a point and sneaking out into the storm was a hastily made plan without thinking twice. Not thinking about worrying people or the fact that Blizzards are not fun at all.

While she's out and about in Everglade, Flandre is giggling and throwing snow about and making snow angels that probably vanish not long after she heads away. Childish mindset keeps her going before she starts getting a bit cold. She's going to attempt to head home but...

If you spot her a few hours later..she's desperately trying to stay out of the storm and curled up in a doorway.]

[It's hard to see the little vampire as she's covered in snow and shivering. Flandre takes a moment to open her mouth and get started talking.]

Um...I-i-i...might have gone a bit over board with playing. I..can't find my way back. Can someone point me in the right direction?

[She can take care of herself...So she thinks. This is a bit more then she bargained for.]

This is precisely why I don't like letting you go out unsupervised. [ Great, now she has to go out into that mess and try and find Flandre... ]

[It just so happens that the doorway she's chosen isn't terribly far from Cloak and Dagger, where Soma works, and on the way 'home' (for values of home that, for him, include a castle where he is currently a guest) to boot.]

[Only her eyes are able to be seen and a soft mumble to be heard. She looks embarrassed and sad.] I can do it myself. I did it before.

[It takes her a moment before a nod shifts some of the snow off of her.]

Uh huh...Why are you out here?

[Her voice shivers as she is but, trying to hide it.]

I was at work, making potions. Some things have to be made in the kind of cold you only see in a storm like this. And you, I'm guessing, have been out playing?

[He's smiling just a bit, but it's obvious to him she's miserable. Wordlessly, he takes off his coat and offers it to her, even though doing so removes its protections from his own, markedly more vulnerable flesh.]

I can hardly see a thing there... Where are you?

I..I dunno Remi. I got lost while playing. I can get home if someone points me in the right direction.

Oh...There are potions like that? I never knew that.

[Even being cold won't take away her curiosity..but she does shiver hard.

Which is why when she's offered the coat- her eyes widen.]

I-i-i-I'm okay. I just got lost when I was playing.

[She's not taking the coat although cold. Although eyes it a little bit.]

Is there any landmarks?

You name a circumstance, there's probably a potion or spell that requires it. This one in particular is supposed to protect against violent heat.

[He knows a refusal when he sees one; shrugs, and slings the coat over his shoulder, opting for plan B: Buer.]

I'm going to call up some fire to heat us both for the walk back. Is that okay?

[Flandre shifts to try and glance about before shaking her head, no.]

Lots of white and some buildings.

Oh wow...I didn't know that was possible and I watch Patchouli sometimes. Does it make the area or person really cold then? It must work really well to need this type of weather for it!

[If anything, she shifts and brushes more snow off of her. Going to at least slowly make her way closer for now.]

If..If it'll help, It's okay.

[Flandre you are a vampire popsicle right now. Quit being stubborn]

It was then that Sakuya joined the call. She was still in her work uniform but no longer working. Likely off for the day.

"I will find her Lady Remilia." And then to Flandre. "Young Miss, I see a door behind you. Is it a residence or a shop?"

That is a little... vague, Flandre.

[ Remilia might want to go with Sakuya, anyway. ]

Are you sure, Sakuya? A human could die out there.

[He calls up a series of fireballs that will rotate around his body continuously, providing plenty of warmth for them both. Buer's soul at work.]

It uses the stored cold to negate the incoming heat. Counteracting forces, like blocking one danmaku shot with another in midair. The potion should provide protection either against a certain amount of heat or over a certain length of time, depending on which extreme is reached first. It isn't as effective as an artifact would be, but I'm not quite good enough to make the circlets yet.

[Of course, as he speaks, he's going to slowly lead her back toward the castle's archway - he can't keep Buer going forever, after all. Not without the Chaos ring, at least, and he's very much wanting to avoid using that for now.]

It was about that time when it got colder. Significantly so. A biting chill that sank into his bones unnaturally. It certainly wasn't from the storm-

"Young Mistress!"

The sensation of time's absence. Right.

Sakuya appeared seemingly out of nowhere. She was bundled up in a heavy coat with boots, gloves, and a scarf. She was shivering a little bit but not too badly all things considered.

She trotted forward quickly, gesturing Soma and his fire closer to the chilly blonde vampire.

[There is a sheepish look at that that changes into a thoughtful one.]

I think it's a store because they haven't told me to leave..but no one is going in or out. Are you sure it'll be alright? I can get back if someone can point me in the right direction.

[Of course the snow and cold might be why but not thinking about that.]

[Flandre is listening intently to Soma's explanation, keeping her mind off being lost and cold. It's interesting too because she's jsut so curious about everything she's able to learn about now.]

Oh wow...I didn't know that was possible. And you can make them into circlets? Does the effect stay longer then?

[She stops in her tracks and smiles slightly at Sakuya when she appears

Sakuya! You didn't have to come find me.

[The bone-deep cold told him immediately who had arrived, and his smile took on layers of gratitude. He was perfectly certain of his own ability to get Flandre back to the castle unmolested, but the added security of one of the deadlier fighters he had ever met went a long way toward dispelling the gloom of the storm. He nods in agreement, and moves closer to Flandre.]

The circlets last pretty much forever, but they use a different process; Vlad has several of them, if you'd like to see one. Finesmithing and artifice are a bit beyond my skill level, for now. Hello, Sakuya. I take it Remilia knows about this little adventure, now?

"I'm sure, Lady Remilia. Weather this cold will rip your wings apart and make it difficult to move."

Sakuya was putting on a heavy coat now.

"Young Miss, can you see the name of the store? The sign? Or a street name?"

I'd have to levitate around. I do have a thermaltech outfit, so... I wouldn't completely freeze.

[ Though she did wish Sakuya wouldn't mention wing injuries around Flandre... ]

Sakuya nodded once, already unbuttoning her jacket and shifting her scarf. Picking Flandre up was, perhaps, not the most elegant thing to do, but it was all Sakuya could think of to do to warm Flandre up quickly. She quickly followed it up by wrapping her coat around the little vampire and tucking her head against her neck.

Probably not the smartest thing to do considering how quickly it would drop Sakuya's core temperature, but Flandre would quickly find her joints becoming less stiff and her breathing becoming easier.

"Of course I had to come and find you. It would be irresponsible of me otherwise."

Nevermind that Sakuya was starting to shiver and was edging closer to Soma's fire.

[There is the tiniest of winces if only moving too much was not what she wanted to do. But either way there is a quick look around before she frowns and curls up a bit more.]

I don't, It's too snowy. But I can try and show around me?

[Which after a moment she shifts enough to flip the camera to the street...Even if her camera work is shaking like crazy.]

Sakuya leaned forward into the camera, studying the street Flandre was recording. She couldn't see much but it did eliminate a lot of places.

"Okay. I will find you, Flandre. Please stay put." And on went the scarf. "If you see anything else significant, take a picture and send it to me."

"Sakuya, will the coat and scarf be enough? I'd suggest warmer leggings..." Look, she will lend her the Thermaltech outfit, even if it's small. It's actually a bit big for Remilia.

I would, I would! They sound interesting and really powerful!

[Not touching though because still nervous about her own ability. But as Flandre is picked up, she curls up to be smaller and shivers. There is a tiny sound of relief as she feels her body responding to Sakuya's heat.]

[Although she makes a sound of concern as she feels Sakuya shivering, trying to figure out how to express it.]

They are, but like anything else, they do have their weaknesses. They override any other elemental defense enchantment, for one thing - you can only completely defend against one thing at a time with them.

[Powerful? Well... one of them DOES make a major boss fight kind of a joke...

Once Sakuya has gathered up Flandre, Soma drapes his coat over the both of them - still warm from his own body heat, and laden with protections against the elements, cold included.]

We should hurry. This place isn't exactly safe, even in conditions like this.

[Although she quiets down and frowns a bit.]

"It will." She reassured Remilia. "It is quite heavy and I'm wearing my winter uniform under it."

And then to Flandre.

"I know, Young Miss. I will be there soon. Stay out of the wind and try to keep moving to prevent your joints from freezing."

And with that Sakuya vanished, off to try and find Flandre.

"Alright, Flan... Sakuya's on her way now." She trusted Sakuya wouldn't be too long, even if she's pretty tough in her own right.

"It is not your fault, Young Miss." She squeezed Flandre tightly, giving Soma a look of gratitude when he added his coat around them both. It would take a bit before she would feel the warmth from it but it would help keep her from freezing.

She was trying not to shiver too much for Flan's sake. At least not this early.

"I'm right behind you." Sakuya floated up, her watch shivering in her pocket. "I'm not worried about any beasts but these conditions are far more troubling." And dangerous.

[Of course that does cause a idea to spring to mind. Mind you, there is probably going to be a lot of mental NO NO NO, BAD IDEA.]

...Is there one that is strong to the sun then? That would be kinda neat...

[Even with her thoughts on that she frowns, biting her lip. If she didn't wander off and get lost...]

But..It is my fault. I shouldn't have gone so far alone. I'm sorry...I'll keep a eye out though okay?

[Flandre relaxes a tiny bit and watches carefully. Wanting to try and fix her mistake the only way she can see at the moment. Later she could think things though and properly thank both Soma and Sakuya later.}

A circlet, no. But there are potions and skin lotions that can provide temporary protection, and I'm certain there's some item of clothing that can do the trick. A cloak, if memory serves?

[He nods to Sakuya, and leads the way back toward the castle. Not even the local werewolves are stupid enough to be out and about in this storm - the only problems they face on the way are the ever-increasing chill, and it's fairly obvious that it's getting to Soma before they even get halfway. Even with Buer's flames being a relatively minor drain, he's still expending more energy than he's taking in.]
