[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Pokemon Farewell
After last month's fun event of catching, training, and befriending Pokemon, many are left feeling down at the conclusion. This isn't because they're sore losers (okay, some of them are sore losers), but because bonds between trainer and Pokemon were forged more deeply than anyone could have predicted. Some have called to take a day off in the week to visit the place where the Archway once stood in order to say a proper goodbye, unified as one, to their friends. This formal farewell will take place on Tuesday, June 17th at 7:00 p.m.
Vanity Contest
After consulting with Genessia City Guardian, Captain Hammer, the social events committee has been given permission to hold a beauty pageant, one for men and one for women. "We're very excited," smiled the committee's head, Kitty Albers. "Getting thrown into a new city is disorienting for everyone, so we want to give people a bright side now and again." The committee is currently accepting applicants for the contest. However, three judges are required before the event can officially take place. If you'd like to volunteer for the job, please visit the committee's headquarters, temporarily stationed at the Hamete Strip Mall.

Dwindling Highwaymen in Fayren
Being mugged by bandits is practically expected for lone travelers who walk the dusty roads of Fayren, especially if they're unarmed. However, reports of muggings and related assault have been dwindling drastically. One traveler complains that he wasn't accosted even once, despite a heavy purse that jangled noisily. However, while isolated incidents of one to three bandits attacking are on the sharp decline, the royal carriage was attacked and robbed. The queen barely managed to escape, thanks to a natural inclination towards skillful horseriding, but she says she's sure the attack was orchestrated in order to bring about her abduction. "What's with these people?" she remarked angrily. "No one kidnaps queens, they always go after princesses, or sometimes kings! What would anyone want with a queen?" The perpetrators made off with over 500 gold coins, the queen's necklace, and all four of the carriage's white horses.
When is Pink Acceptable for Manliness Points?
The shiny new pink cadillac rolled off of the Genessia car lot today, driven by...an enormous muscular beefcake?! Ira Gamagori, formerly renowned for his intense masculine presence, has made several heads spin with this decidedly questionable purchase. Recently graduated high school senior, Mindy Pointer, was very put out. "Like, daddy was going to buy me that car for a graduation present. What does THAT GUY need it for?" she demanded, snapping her gum furiously. Others don't believe Ira's status is in any danger. "A long time ago, pink was a color for baby boys and blue was for baby girls," local librarian Max Cross reported. "I don't see why this is causing such an uproar." Blonde mechanic Yang Xiao Long said she wasn't quite sure how to perceive it. "Well, I guess it might explain why he's so weirded out whenever I flirt with him, but that's no reason to stop," she grinned. "How fast does that vehicle go? Maybe we'll have a race sometime." Local authorities do not approve of drag racing and direct all such miscreants to please not drive their cars off of cliffs while leaping out at the last moment for dramatic tension, as it's very hard for people to collect the burning hunks of metal at the bottom of steep ravines.
