Now that the blizzard is gone and I have rested up as much as I could, I am back at work. I hope that everyone else was okay during it? I admittedly didn't pay that much attention to the device while I was resting up so I thought I should at least check with those I know.

Also, I should say hi to those who arrived during. My name is Winry Rockbell and I hope I can speak to you eventually.

[She ended the feed publicly there. She soon set it to private after that and it was for a good purpose.]

Ed... We need to talk, or well I need to talk to you when you have a moment.

Hey Win, what's up? I have time for you whenever.

Can you please meet me at my place? You know where it is, right?

Yeah yeah, I remember.

[It isn't going to take that long before he's knocking at her door, he has a book in hand though like he was in the middle of reading it and decided to read it for his walk over.]

[Winry had taken a small breath before she went to answer the door.]

You got here quicker than I was expecting. Come in. [She noted the book and wondered if she had caught him while he was reading and considering Ed himself...that always seemed highly likely. As she stepped to the side to let the other through she found herself getting nervous about the whole thing.

Once she was sure he was in she closed the door, making her way to the living room, which for the most part had parts littered all over it.]

Uh... excuse the mess.

Uh huh. [In the time it took her to answer the door, his eyes are back in the book but when he finishes his sentence he looks up, places a bookmark and steps into the room.

It's about what he expects though, with parts and tools littered around and he gives her a weird look.]

Well, I mean, looks like your workroom at home. [He tucks his book under his arm.]

What's going on? Is everything okay? [She hadn't sounded panicked, she was probably just done his present.]

[Winry had moved to clear some of the clutter, mostly from the floor before making her way over to the desk where the clutter was limited and a picture of the Ed, Al and her as kids sat next to an automail arm she had been working on. When she reached her desk she had moved to pick it up before turning around, taking a very deep breath.

It will be okay, sure she knew what the worst that was going to happen... the most likely thing that was going to happen, but she knew if she got it off her chest it was at least over and done with and she can move forward. Once she felt a little confident she held it out.]

This is for you. I put a lot of my heart into this piece... [She bit her lip slightly, her cheeks were feeling a little warm to her.] I did that because... Well... uh... I like you. [And now she was not looking him in the eye, instead she was looking away.] You don't have to accept that part of it, but no matter what I still did it because I care and I hope you like it regardless.

[He's not surprised she made him a new arm, it's kind of her thing, although it's a little weird that he has a spare of all things, and he blinks at her.]

Uhhhh...what?

[This seems an awful lot like a confession. Like she's saying she likes him. And he stares for a moment longer, it's like he's stuck trying to process something he can't process and his mind is getting stuck on..

Wait. She did say that. The colour rushes to his cheeks.]

Winry, I...[This isn't his plan, he had a plan, finish everything and then take care of Winry, it's a foolproof plan, except he isn't expecting her to confess to him. That isn't part of the plan! He doesn't have a contingency plan for something like this!

Or wait, he has to say something doesn't he? Apart from turning bright red, he really should say something. With words.]

Okay.

[Not the most eloquent. Somewhere, Alphonse Elric was laughing.]

[Winry stayed quiet, really unsure of what to expect really. Sort of. She figured he would say something... anytime now? She soon noted that he was awfully quiet or at least more so than she had honestly been expecting.

She wasn't sure what to think of it. How was she meant to react or even say? But when he did finally speak... a few tine amount of words she found herself sighing slightly. Did he really just say okay? She didn't even know what the okay was about or if it had any meaning behind it.]

Edward... Okay really is not the best answer to say in this situation. Saying something like 'Sorry not interested' or... Something that isn't okay. [She feels so awkward right about now about the whole deal.]

[He knows that that wasn't the best answer but he was processing, because in all the times he's imagined this going, where he's awkwardly talking to her by the river, or at the train station, even in the house somewhere, or out back watching the stars, he never considered she'd come to him.]

I..it's...I know, I know, okay just...give me a second, I didn't think...gah! [He looks flustered, and he's still blushing.]

Wait, you can't do this to me, I...it's not supposed to go this way!

[Again, that was not what he meant to say, he was just completely thrown.]

Hang on wait, that's not what I mean! I just mean...when everything was done I was going to ask...well you know...things!

[She had moved to put the automail down for the time being, extremely unsure of what to do or say. This wasn't how she was expecting things to go either. It only made things more awkward.

Though she couldn't help but pick up his word choices which only baffled her more.]

Wh-What wasn't supposed to go this way? [She had moved one of her free hands and moved it to her heart.] If you mean I wasn't meant to feel this way then it's a little too late for that, but if this is leading toward a rejection can you not prolong it.

[After she said what she had, she found herself pausing. It wasn't what he meant, the more this carried on the more baffled she found herself, her cheeks red she was keeping an eye on the other, but for the meantime, her hand was to her head. This was hurting her head..]

Ask what Edward? Spill it.

[He flails a little, it's really not going well is it? It's been better. It really has, but he's reacting in a strange way, and he knows it, he's just processing.]

No not that! I don't care- I mean I do care about that, I mean, I was thinking it'd be nice, and you know just, uh wait where am I going with this?

[He paces back and forth, turning red.]

You know. Important questions. Like you know...liking you stuff and just, I had a plan for this! [Of all the unpredictability, he wasn't expecting this.]

I was going to offer half my life for half of yours just...just not now!

[Winry really had no idea where he was going with his words, honestly she had to admit she had never seen him this flustered before. Did she really surprise him that much?

He had a plan for this? She had surprised him with this and now he honestly surprised her with that. That was until the last line. Really Edward, Really? She found herself putting her hand on her face for a moment, it was hard to tell what she was thinking at this moment. That was until she spoke.]

Really Edward, you had to say that. [She moved her hand slightly, giving off a sigh.]

That's nonsense. Treating this like alchemy. [She removed her hand.]

I'll give you my whole life, or... whatever percentage would work...I mean... how much would one even need to? [She paused for a moment. She was getting to the point.]

But, only when you are ready... [She starts to smile for a moment.]

I wasn't expecting an actual confession or anything right now, I just wanted to say how I felt. So whenever you are ready you'll have to do something, okay?

[Of course he has a plan, he has a plan for everything and he has nothing to do on the train but sit and think, so he's thought about it, and he never expected Winry to come at him first.]

Well I don't know, you know, I just...[He flails a little, honestly how was he supposed to see it]

It's not...because of you it's just...

[He's quiet for a moment, there's a lot unsaid. He might not come back from the battle, even if he promised, and Al's still in armor and everything is just so unfinished.]

It's not time, I can't...[He sighs and moves closer to her, moving to pull her into a hug.]

When everything is finished. I promise.

[Winry had gone quiet. She at least knew she had done what she had wanted at least, she said what she wanted to. That was enough for her right now at least. However, she hadn't been expecting to be pulled into a hug. She paused slightly before finding herself holding the other back lightly. She honestly seemed content with it at least.]

You better keep that promise.

I will keep it, Winry. I keep my promises. You know that.

[He squeezes her gently and lets her go.]

Uh, you don't think we're going to be here awhile, do you?

[Winry soon stepped away, putting her hands lightly on her waist as she thought things over.]

I don't know, I mean for the set up that's at the Bay when we wake up the person on it must have been here for a while to even do something like this. So I guess it's always a possibility.

Oh...well...

[He isn't sure what to think about that, here Al is whole and fine, so he can't say he should be working on that, and Winry is very distracting, because he's a young man and very much alive.

It seems like if they're there a long time, things between them would just be on hold for no reason.]

I kinda hope not.

There is really no way to know except seeing what happens as time goes by.

[Which she didn't know what was going to happen in that time. She figured she knew what he would do, but what she would do was a different matter.]

In that time I guess you'll try and find a way out, right? Or will you just play the waiting game?

[He smiles at her and offers half a shrug.]

You know I don't sit around and wait for things to happen. I'm stubborn. I have to find a way out. I might learn that internet thing.

[Hopefully it won't be that long, hopefully, not because it's not nice, but because they have lives to get back to.]

The internet thing?

[Give her a moment, she has only learned about so many things before now.]

That's at least something. That and I'm sure you're still looking through the books at the library. [Because she knew there were a lot and no way he would have looked through them all.]

I should really think about what I could do to help more, or maybe learn a new skill or two.

Yeah it's a...computer thing?

[He has no real idea either, but a nice girl told him about hacking and that sounded good - a way to get information and he's all about that.]

It's gonna take awhile before I'm done the books in the library.

[He tilts his head.] If you want, but you're fine the way you are.

I'm sure you'll have a fun time learning about that.

[She was at least right about the books thing.] I can always offer my help with looking through the books if you ever need it. I have a lot more free time since coming here after all. [She paused for a moment before glancing away slightly.]

Really? I mean I still have a lot to learn you know in both the medical field and prosthetics.

I dunno, maybe I'm still trying to puzzle out how the phone thing works.

[He's not very technologically adept. At all.]

That would probably be boring for you, but I guess if you want...[He won't turn down the help, he just doesn't think Winry likes to read like he does.]

Yeah, of course you are. [Pause.] But you can learn more if you want. There's probably more to learn here than anywhere.

It is very odd, isn't it? But if anyone can figure it out it's you.

[She smiled slightly, she wanted to help more so since it's for a good reason anyway. Plus this way she felt like she didn't have to worry about certain things such as if he actually ate while there.]

Exactly. [She laughed slightly before turning around.]

Well...I did what I wanted to, I expect you need to go somewhere, right?

I guess, but what kind of a phone is this anyway, I mean, it's like...you could just go somewhere and use the phone.

[It's such a strange concept, why would he want a phone on him all the time anyway, and who is going to call him?]

I was just going to the library. [He smiles a little.]

Are you...really okay with this?

[Really, if he's going to someday ask her a very important question, they should probably learn to communicate better. It's just words are hard when there's feelings involved.]

I know, but I guess it's to help keep us in contact with others who are in the same situation.

[Strange concept is something she would agree on, but she found she was speaking to more people this way than she might have back home.]

So the usual. [She nods giving a small smile.]

I'm really okay with this. [She was being at least honest with that.]

I guess, but really who wants to talk to me on this thing?

[Hopefully no one because he doesn't know what to do with it so much.]

The usual. [He smiles.] You know me, what else would I be doing?

[Edward shrugs and he smiles at her.]

Okay. Good, I mean...it's not going to be that long right?

I might if you are wondering around and I need to do maintenance. It saves me having to actively search for you.

[Saves her time too. It seemed much easier than it was back home at least. She liked it even if it was confusing.]

Not going to be long? I don't know, really. It can be as long as it needs to be, I'll will always be waiting regardless.

I'm glad you're okay, Winry.

Were you okay during the blizzard?

[Figured she should at least ask.]

Yeah, I was fine, thanks for asking. At least we had warning, so I was able to get ready ahead of time.

Yeah, that was a good thing they said ahead of time. I think if they hadn't of said anything there might have been a lot of problems for people.
