[Honestly, she's not sure what to think of this place just yet. Obviously, it's different than anything she's ever experienced, except maybe Mortis, and it also doesn't seem like the kind of place the Empire could find her. Still, it doesn't hurt to be cautious, even though it might just make her stand out more.

So, when Ahsoka first posts to the network, it's only with a simple voice message. Those who know her might recognize her anyways, but oh well. Her voice is friendly, if a little nervous as she speaks,]

Um... hi! Wasn't really expecting all this, but who would be-- 

[You're rambling, Ahsoka. Get to the point.]

My name is Ashla. Sorry to be posting like this when I think everyone else is showing their face, but I'm... kinda shy? 

[Yep, definitely drawing more attention to it.]

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone around here needs a mechanic, or knows someone or somewhere that does. I'm decent with my hands, whether it's droids, ships, farm equipment... you name it. I'm also willing to do odd jobs or courier work or anything, really. I just happen to be better at the mechanic stuff, you know.

Well, it's nice to meet you, Toshinori. ... If that's at all comforting coming from a faceless voice.

[Ahsoka added, knowing it might not be. He seemed nice, but someone seeming nice still wasn't worth having her face broadcast everywhere.]

I'm used to moving around a lot, but not quite like this. Still, I'm sure you're right. By the way, what kind of teacher are you?

In my former line of work, a bit of anonymity is preferable with some people. I know Aizawa would appreciate your caution.

[Her tone reminded him of Aizawa, a little cautious in the new world. Granted he hadn't displayed the same but he had to separate his person.]

I'm a high school teacher, I don't know if you have that there, but I teach grades of young adults between 15 to 18. I'm mostly mathematics and physics.

[The last codeword for combat training. Combat training was sort of physics right?]

[He's showing his face, though, since he doesn't want her to think he doesn't trust her.]

Droids and ships? That sounds amazing! We don't have those things where I come from.

[In his former line of work, huh? Definitely gotta make a note about that, but asking about it now would probably be a little rude.]

I've never heard of a "high" school, but I think I get the idea. Are you thinking of doing the same thing here or...?

Thanks, kid. And just Ashla is fine, actually.

[While he can't see her face, there's a smile to her voice.]

Really? What sort of world are you from, then?

Ashla, then! Thank you!

[He's doing his best to appear confident and polite, but he keeps lowering his gaze shyly. This is harder than he wants to let on.]

At my home, we have.. um... airplanes and stuff. I don't know much about the mechanics. You must be super smart!

[He's supposed to be retired. But All Might is a completely inordinate meddler.]

I'd like to, if I can't find other sources of work. My condition keeps me from being too exerted.

By the way, or... not really by the way, just something I'm curious about. What sort of species are there on your world? Do people mostly look like you?

[Aaaand definitely rude to ask about his condition, though she wonders if it has anything to do with his former line of work.]

Oh... I see. Well, I think anywhere could use a good teacher! And if you ever need help with anything, don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks, that's appreciated. I'm trying to figure out who needs a math teacher. I used to be in physical shape so I was more gym than anything else.

At least I'll figure out something. It shouldn't be too hard.

I travel a lot so I've never really felt attached to one place. But the galaxy's full of all kinds of species. I'm pretty used to being around people who aren't human.

But you know... you might not need to be in perfect physical condition to teach something like that. I mean, it helps to have a training partner, but you could still give advice or uh... cheer them on? I don't know what I'm saying...

Well I suppose I could... [Suddenly he begins coughing, as a small trickle of blood seeps from his lips.] I'm okay, I'm *cough* this is normal for me.

Hate them? What? Of course not! I mean, obviously there are still issues in the galaxy and on individual planets, but... Humans are about the same as everyone else, aren't they?

[What kind of world did he even come from...]

And yes? Space travel? How else would you get between worlds?

[snippings]

I... if you say so. Just try not to get any blood in your caf, okay?

[Wiping his blood off in a napkin, Toshinori cleared his throat.]

Sorry you had to see that. I usually don't let people see me when I'm coughing up blood and all.

[Taking a quick sip of his coffee, he added,] Its related to the injury I sustained five years ago, and I've learned to deal with it. It's why I teach now instead of run around helping people.

[stillsmiling]

I'm sorry! I didn't realize you traveled like that back home... I thought this was the first time for everyone. The most I've traveled before was between cities.

[snippings]

No, it's alright.

[Her tone is reassuring, though she realizes there's no point to shaking her head when he can't see her. Whoops.]

And I hope I'm not prying too much, but what did you do before you taught? Were you a soldier?

[snippings]

Uh well... I'd say that's probably still true. Ending up here is nothing like flying around the galaxy. I doubt there are a lot of people who randomly wake up somewhere without any clue as to how got there or how to escape. At least on an ordinary basis.

[His lips pursed a little before shaking his head.]

No, I was... I guess you could call us very specialized police workers. Civil Servants of the people. Heroes. I fought a guy, and almost didn't walk out of there alive.

[He doesn't know why he's talking but lately, things have been rough.]

Months of rehab followed, surgeries to correct the damage. In the end, I'm still retired. That's why I teach kids, future heroes.
