[Action/Video] Knife in the Back Log
Who: Ted, some deranged knife magic man, Open
Where: Everglade
What: Flying knives, magic stuff
ACTION
[Another two weeks, another troublemaker. Sometimes Ted wished he didn't care about Everglade as much as he did. Goodness knows there are worse things than mere murder, morbid as that is to contemplate. But he did kinda swear an oath he'd protect this place as best he could, even if it does feel like putting out a never-ending inferno.
He does the usual footwork. Have you seen this guy? Any idea who would hate the family so much? Magic knives; who's into that? etc. By now Ted's become (in)famous for his vigilante antics, and the criminals in question were getting fed up with the meddling kid.
Long story short, Mr. Back-Knifer wrote Ted's name into the blade, and off it went!
That's why, if you're in a part of the world you really shouldn't be, you might see a colorfully dressed blonde on the run from a flying knife. No jury in the world would convict it, honestly. Save him. He can't run forever!]
VIDEO
[Somehow or another the knife had been apprehended. As for the criminal...]
I ah, haha, don't suppose any of our resident occultists can reverse-engineer a spell, eh? Make it go the other way? I'd be happy to offer compensation for the trouble.
[Even now the knife rustles wherever he's keeping it, lusting for foolish blood. You know he's desperate when he's asking you devil-worshiping magicians for help.]

... What is that sound?
Re: Video
Oh, hello Elias!
[He likes that name ever so much.]
Settled in all right? Found work and employment enough? Your true appearance was no little surprise; don't worry, I'm used to friendly skeletons, though none with a skull so bovine. How you hear at all must be magic's doing, haha.
Er, well...
[He wouldn't like to worry Elias any further. How to be euphemistic yet honest and clear...]
A very bellicose blade likes me either not at all or entirely too much. Time, it seems, has done nothing to still its passion.
Re: Video
[Was it the horns? The mage moves to tap a sharpened tooth as Ted explains the situation]
Someone enchanted a knife to stab you, then.
... Did you make them upset?
[Don't worry, he's already making motions to get up and gather a few things]
Where are you?
Re: Video
Aheh, well, perhaps they wanted to send it to me and flubbed their spellcraft? Magic's not a science, I suppose. If so I'd like to thank them personally for the gift, however questionable the delivery.
[No Elias is on the money there. Darn negativity and its unfairly high relation to truth.]
Oh, I'm...nowhere decent. Here, I'll step out. One moment.
[Cause like hell is he having anyone meet him in Everglade for any reason. One step out of the archway later, the rustling stops. Looks like the magic has a range.]
I'm at Genessia City's west extremity. Hah, goodness, Elias, are you going to meet me?
Re: Video
It is not science, but it is just as exact. I find it hard to believe that one could accidentally enchant a dagger to fly at a specific person.
[He politely waits for Ted to confirm where he is, and speaks again, gently tucking a few things away in a basket.]
If I do not, you will most surely be stabbed to death.
Re: Video
[Thanks for the vote of confidence]
But ah, might we get some hair from the dagger trying to bite me? While neutralizing it would be lovely, it'd be lovelier still to find the source. I'm afraid there's more where that came from.
Action
Well he owed the guy. Using his own speed and strength, he caught the knife, holding the object tightly as he then looked back to Ted.]
You're safe now. Well so long as nothing hard hits me and makes me let go of it anyway.
Re: Action
"Oh, ah, thank you Naoki!" He hollered, then strolled towards him to make sure nothing funny was going on. The knife still tugged at Naoki's grip, very eager to get back to its spree.
"Heh, let's hope that doesn't happen, eh? Fancy seeing you in this dingy part of the world. What's the occasion?"
He speaks very casually for one just hunted by a dagger. He's either used to it, or something of an idiot.
or bothRe: Action
He didn't figure Ted would approach a place like this either. Then again he barely knew the gut.
"Who did you piss off to have this thing being sent after you?"
Re: Action
He still has his dopey, happy eyes fixed on striving blade that seemed eager to gouge them out.
"Haha, that's what I'd like to know! Would you mind giving it to me? Ah, cautiously, that is. A release would descend into yet another chase, I'm afraid."
