It has been a while since Sycamore has a day for himself without any kinds of phenomena and Genessia shenanigans. Even if he just got out of work, he is relieved at a peaceful day in this city. As usual, he is walking through Garden Park alongside with his Garchomp. However, while he is aware that it's not snowing today, one thing that isn't okay is when he notices her shivering and the snow on her feet.

He sighed in dismay that her typing causes her to be vulnerable to the cold. Though with how she wants to spend time with him after a week of work, Sycamore can't help but do something to remedy her problem.

[Closed/Jeb] January 18

While Sycamore is busy working at another job at Moonbucks, he mostly stored his Pokemon in his Poke Balls to rest. Not Noir though as he secretly pops out of his ball and wanders around the cafe out of boredom. He would try to scare the patrons, but his trainer might reprimand him for it. Instead, he decides to observe someone at the table without being invisible. At least it counts as a scare, right?

[Jeb is obliviously sipping a cup of hot chocolate, taking a well-deserved break from some of his art projects. Sneako is with him, but Faith is home napping while Maria watches over her; the Sceptile is looking wary of something and tries to alert his trainer.]

Huh? Sneako, is something wrong? [Jeb puts down his cup and glances around...nothing out of the ordinary here. Sneako must be bored.] We'll go outside and train later, I promise.

[Other than a wary Sceptile, at least the young man didn't notice his presence. Noir grinned as he floats in front of Jeb before he turned visible and gives out a cry as he shows his best scary face.]

[And that makes Jeb yelp, putting his cup down so fast he sloshes hot chocolate all over himself! Sneako hisses, immediately preparing to use Night Slash.]

N-no, Sneako! No battling inside, people could get hurt!

[Oh, now he's done it! Panicked, Noir quickly fires a Shadow Ball to the angry Sceptile, though it didn't make it that far as a Mach Pokemon quickly deflects it with Dragon Claw.]

Stand down, Noir!

[Much to his shock, he turns around to see Sycamore, who is still in his Moonbucks uniform. He just saw everything and he is not happy with his Shuppet's latest mischief.]

I can't believe you would try to scare one of the patrons without my knowledge. What do you have to say for yourself?

[Now that he thinks about it, he almost ruined Sycamore's part-time job because of his scare attempts. With that, he cries in regret as he hung his head. Once that's done, it didn't take long for Sycamore to notice Jeb's presence.]

I'm very sorry about my Shuppet, Jeb. Are you all right?

[Oh, now he feels bad for Shuppet getting scolded like that...]

I-I'm fine, Professor! He just startled us a little, that's all. [Sneako, on the other hand, is looking smug. That'll teach a little ghost brat to attack him and his trainer!]

Still, I have to keep an eye on Noir from now on even at work. He can be a bit... rough to keep him in his Poke Ball.

[Speaking of which, he secretly frowns at Sneako's smugness. He really wants to throw a Shadow Ball on that Sceptile's face right now.]

I know he didn't mean any harm, though... [He turns to Sneako, mustering the sternest face he can] Don't act like that! I know he scared you, but you shouldn't fight in a place like this! People could get hurt...

[Noir snickers as he sees the Sceptile getting an earful from his trainer. However, he stops upon seeing Sycamore's glare.]

And that goes to you, too, Noir. If you keep acting like this, I might store you back in my apartment.

[Just hearing this is enough to make the Ghost-type panicked at that thought. Even seeing Garchomp's glare isn't helping his situation.]

In any case, I am really sorry about Noir again. I'll make sure he is well-behaved in the near future.

[As fate would have it, Tori's hanging around Garden Park with one of her own Pokemon! However, Tori is holding her Cyndaquil in her arms -- a bold move. She must really trust her Pokemon not to not let out any flames from her back while she's holding her. While Tori knows her fire Pokemon has an advantage over ice -- and thus snow -- there's still too much of it for her to be comfortable enough to allow the Cyndaquil to walk by her side.]

It's pretty cold out, isn't it, Cynny? ...well, maybe not for you. Haha~ [She hasn't noticed Sycamore yet.]

[As he turns around, he sees Tori with her Cyndaquil, who is surprised that she's holding it. Judging by this, he can tell that their bond is somehow strong.

Still, he then approaches her with a smile.]

Hello, Tori. It's been a while.

[Tori lifts her head to look at Sycamore, flashing him a smile.]

Oh, Professor! Hey! [She doesn't even much consider the strange occurrence that had happened the month prior -- that has to be over with by now.] Fancy running into you here. It sure has been a while, huh~?

Yeah. Though the last time we met was a video call, though I don't know much about the details.

You don't?

[Him mentioning it brings it more to mind than it was before. So her suspicious are right -- that whole ordeal is over. What a relief. That whole thing had been super awkward...]

Well, maybe it's for the best. [And she'll leave it at that.] Anyway, how have you been?

I’m fine. I would say the same with Garchomp, but I doubt she’s not very peachy at this season.

[It makes it more obvious as Garchomp slowly approaches Tori while still shivering to the cold.]

[She gives Garchomp a sympathetic glance.]

Yeah, I'd imagine not. Is there anything Cynny can do to help?

I think he would. But with Garchomp, I doubt he may able to warm her with the strength of his flame.
