[Action/Accidental Audio]
[Things are barely starting to calm down and already something got Eleanor's mind all up in a tizzy.
It was all thanks to a stupid newspaper sitting out on display at a convenient store. After seeing this headline, she can be found (and heard) pacing around Genessia city carrying on a conversation.
...but with whom? Clearly nobody in particular, except for herself. The poor people who see this spectacle have absolutely no idea what to make of this.]
An amore festival... As in Valentine's Day and all that? I... Suppose it might be worth checking out. And bringing a date is encouraged as well... But I even know any men? ... There's Prompto... But I haven't seen him around. Gladiolus? Same... Radec is a mystery, but... I don't actually know him.
Then there's Theodore...
...I don't understand him though.
By the Empyreans... Do I really not know anyone? And I've been here how long now? Am I just doomed to live out my life in lonely isolation?
[A pause, then a amused chuckle.]
Yeah right... I'm an Exorcist, as long as I have people to help and a ideal world to fight for, I can be perfectly content never marrying...
[A longer pause now.]
But can I really be happy? I mean, this is a new world. There are no daemons to fight. No duty to the Empire. Do I have to be "Eleanor the Praetor Exorcist?" Isn't this my chance to set aside my spear and find love?
Should I try asking someone? Or should I wait and let a gentleman ask me first...?

Well, I certainly advise waiting to be asked if you wish to remain feminine. With none-too-subtle hints for those you've your exorcising eye on.
Re: [Video]
[Where's that voice coming from? She tracks the sound to her device and checks it.
Lo and behold! Ted! Right on the freaking screen! Eleanor flinches, clearly flustered out of her mind now.]
Theodore?! How did you...!
[She made quick work getting herself back on track as she recalls the message as best she can.]
What's that about Link?
video
Re: [Video]
Oh, likely another one of my inscrutable mysteries.
I was just saying how Link, earnest young man that he is, may be just the one. I'm sure Navi will be happy to chaperone. Granted, you do work together, and mixing business with pleasure can be dangerous. But then, when is love ever safe, eh?
Re: [Video]
You can't be serious...
Link is a boy, about Laphicet's age.
[Momentarily forgetting Laphicet isn't here. Her mind is just racing, potentially overthinking things.]
Going with him as a date would be a scandal waiting to make the papers.
Re: video
But then what about - oh wait, she has to actually reply here.]
So you suggest I should go to the festival anyway, regardless if I go with anyone?
video
If you don't mind my saying... If can take an opportunity to rest, I would strongly suggest it, miss. It sounds like you work very hard and deserve it.
Re: video
But more importantly, onto the subject matter.]
That's nice of you to say, but...
Honestly, I don't feel like I earned a break since, well...
I'm still unemployed...
[The Ice Queen incident in Fayren derailed her plans.]
no subject
[He maintains his upbeat tone, unbothered by the unemployment.]
Besides. You don't need an official job to be a hardworker.
no subject
[It clicks and she faceplams.]
I was thinking out loud, wasn't I?
no subject
[He's a bit too quick to wipe his memory.]
But my opinion still stands. It sounds like your situation back home is very tough... I think it would be good for you, as well, to enjoy some time as just yourself.
no subject
[But can she really just put aside her sense of honor and duty just long enough to enjoy one day for herself? That's probably what bothers her the most.]
But I suppose you're right. I'm sure, given the circumstances, my commanders would understand. I guess...
no subject
... I may be about to overstep my boundaries, so please forgive me~. But as Exorcists, as a military organization, you're protecting peace, right? At least, that's what I'm imagining.
In that case, why not enjoy the peace here as part of your duties? Maybe it will inspire new strength in you. [Eliot's intentions here are not as trivial as he makes them sound. To him, he knows military soldiers engaged in an active campaign... often end up dead.
He doesn't want her to die with regrets. Look at all this faith he has in this stranger's survival.]
no subject
I'll go to the Amore Festival, date or no date.
[She smiles kindly at the camera.]
Thank you, kind stranger.
no subject
I'm glad to see you smiling again, miss.
It would be a shame to miss a festival. They're more fun with more happy people attending. I'm sure those people you mentioned earlier will be happy you're attending too.
[Eliot really eavesdropped a bit too much.]
no subject
Yeah, perhaps. We did train together, so I don't see why not.
no subject
[He can't tell from her response. What is clear is that she sure thinks seriously.]
Do you have festivals back home? Have you been to many?
no subject
[Not really close, but there was a significant amount of respect.]
There are, yes, but they were halted for a while due to a rise in Malevolence. However, when Lord Artorius founded the Abbey, people started holding festivals regularly again.
Re: [Video]
[Someone he hasn't met? Unacceptable. Then again, that name is nonsense, so perhaps it's better they don't meet.]
According to a very reliable source, he's fond of chasing women already. Are there any safer than yourself? Besides, you needn't be a romantic couple, in that sense. You could be a couple of coworkers instead.
[What can't you accomplish with a little semantics?]
Re: video
no subject
Really? For me, I don't actually remember going to a festival in recent years. There have been school festivals, but those are much different... Maybe you can remind me of what to expect?
[Also known as: Hoping he can get her hyped, so she stops worrying.]
Re: [Video]
[Or was until Genessia happened.]
So Link... A young boy... Is already a womaniser?
[Given Ted's track record, her usual level of skepticism is much higher than normal.]
Re: video
If you don't mind my asking, exactly who or what are you?
Re: video
Re: [Video]
"He is? Huh; I don't recall seeing him at camp. Goodness; you must protect him very well if he here were utterly out of sight and mind."
[Then again, he's not the most attentive person.]
Aheh, I'm afraid so. Perhaps Kokiri start a little sooner than most.
